I had a major issue with my old water heater it stopped working and was tucked into a tight, hard to reach spot. Most plumbers I called either quoted me crazy prices or said it was too much hassle. This guy showed up same day, squeezed into the tight space, and spent hours troubleshooting without giving up. He replaced the unit, made sure everything was up to code, and even cleaned up after. What can I say that hasn't already been said? Their service, knowledge and skills are second to none. For decades, our family has called Fuller when we have plumbing issues. We once tried another company because of a coupon in the Penny-saver and we ended up picking the out and calling Fuller. The last 3 times we've called them, it was for clogged sink and tub drains. As always, they cleared the lines in about 30 minutes or less. They also did a water heater replacement within the past few years. Fuller is the only plumbing company I/we can trust to be honest and not try to sell us on what we don't need. If you call one of the many 1-800.... companies and they want to suddenly make a mountain out of a molehill and charge you a ridiculous amount of money, don't say I didn't warn you. Call Fuller, get an honest estimate and have an honest and experienced plumber do the work. You can thank me later. read more

Be warned! I found the office staff to be courteous when calling. The rate given was to be $160 per hour, including drive time. I knew this would be less than an hour to fix as my husband is a plumber but he's in the hospital so couldn't do it this time. Apparently they have a company policy of charging an additional $75 an hour if a second plumber is on the job. But the first I heard this was after they arrived at my door. This should have been communicated when I called and scheduled the service. He needed a part so had to drive back to the shop which was an additional 40 minutes round trip. He charged less for the helper but still charged. A repair that should have cost about $200-$250 max with parts cost $460. I went with a local company because I believe in supporting our community but that was a mistake on my part. The actual plumbing work was done well, but I find the business practice of charging extra but not telling you until they are on site to be somewhat deceitful and not fair to the consumer. read more

I'm a real estate agent, investor, and when it comes to local in Chula Vista, this family business has been doing it for years and they really know the homes here. When you call, be very specific on the scope of work with Sue or Elena and they are usually know who to schedule for the work so the field guys can be in and out pretty quickly. Some big remodel projects to emergency sewer pipe problems to even a small faucet/angle stop change, they are great. I have had worked with probably 5 different people from the team & its consistent. I used to only have Steve or Tim for over 15 years, but all the guys are pretty knowledgeable and they always have a well stocked van for materials. Bonus today with John & Will, they checked the water pressure to make sure it was on point. By the way, Steve has done some major tankless water heaters for us for homes in La Jolla and locally here in Chula Vista, and they really know how to handle it. My garbage disposal and pipe stopped up. I called the AS* outfit and they quoted $350 to unclog but then said they needed to replace pipes to the tune of $15,000 and still did not clear my drain. Quite frankly, they were more concerned about being sued than fixing my drain (they would not remove the drain clean-out for fear the stucco would chip and they would be sued.) I called Fuller Plumbing and I am so glad I did. John came out that same day, cleared the drain, not giving up until I could use my sink. He was pleasant and professional. The tenant discovered a leak in the bathroom on one side of a duplex. Called Elena from Fuller Plumbing. She got all my details and made an appointment the following day (Saturday). Tim (plumber) came in to diagnose a leak that I thought would be a serious problem since it was a leak from under the tub when the shower was on for over 5 minutes. Tim turned on the shower/tub faucet and within minutes noticed water was coming out of the back side of the tub faucet against the wall. He removed the tub faucet and noticed the connection inside the faucet was partially block and splashing water back into the wall. It was definitely the cause of the water to leak from under the tub. Relief... I also had Tim look into replacing the spigot in the front of the duplex since the handle from the old spigot broke. The spigot was soldered on but too close the a T fitting and unsweating the spigot would also heat the T fitting. It would be best to go into the wall to replace the plumbing behind the wall to fix it correctly. Instead, he found a spigot from the same manufacturer and just replaced the valve/handle of the spigot itself. A big cost savings. Fuller Plumbing Services is a family business and Tim is the fifth generation. I especially like their honesty, experience and creative solutions to fix a problem. Highly Recommended! read more

Our on demand water heater was working only sporadically, so I called the plumbing service I've used before who had installed it two years earlier. They came that day, did nothing, said they'd return, but never did. Two days later, they wanted to charge me weekend rates. At that point, I got it right and called an expert, Steve, at Fuller Plumbing. Steve came out on Saturday, no extra charge, and immediately started testing literally everything, which passed, except for a constant gas flow from my meter. He told me this happens on a rare occasion and to get an SDG&E appointment for which he made himself available. Finally after waiting 1 hour and 15 min called back and was told they had no idea where the plumber was. I am a plumber. I was told Fuller's has hard-to-find repair parts and they came highly recommended. Deciding to visit to find some parts, I met Robert who tried to help me. After identifying the make and model of the parts I need he showed me a catalog and told me if the parts I needed were not in the catalog, they are discontinued and are no longer available. So he didn't find them in the catalog (one item he said could be ordered, but not the other 6) and he sent me on my way. I went to another place nearby and they had EVERYTHING I needed to complete the job for my customer. I can't say Fuller's didn't help me, they tried, but I don't appreciate being told what I'm looking for doesn't exist, especially when the parts I needed were just a little up the road. I went to Fuller's looking for a specialty piece of pipe for rebuilding our shower. We have a very old house and they don't actually make a piece to fit the drain the way we needed it to. The guy that helped me was so nice and helpful. He spent like 30 minutes looking at pictures I brought and trying to custom fit a piece for our shower. We had been so stressed in the days prior, trying to make different things fit. After bringing home the custom piece he gave me, we were so happy. It totally worked, no issues. Thank you so much!
