Their response was, "Attached is our intake packet.  Please fill them out fully and return to me and I will present the same to the attorney for her review and for her determine if this is something she can assist you with." I filled out the information over the weekend, in detail, and returned it as requested. I was then told, "You were advised we are not taking contingency or pro bono cases at this time. Our retainers start at $2,500.00 to $5,000.00 depending on several factors. I just wanted to be sure you are aware a consultation fee and retainer will have to be paid before our office can represent you in this matter. Please confirm your understanding." First of all, I was not told anything about there not being pro bono work done, nor did I request it. Secondly, that is not what I was told would happen. I was told to fill out the paperwork and it would be presented to the attorney for her review/determination if she could be of assistance, so I questioned this. I was then told, "There is a consultation fee of $175.00 for 1/2 an hour.  At that time, the attorney can advise you if she will be able to represent you and if you even have a case.  That is why we ask you to fill out the intake packet completely, so the attorney can get a clear picture of your situation and make a proper determination if you have a case.   If you do have a case and you are wanting her to represent you, at that time there will be a retainer fee.  So to find out if you have a case, you will have to pay the consultation fee of $175.00.  Is that something you are interested in?  Not sure who told you it would not cost you anything." So let me get this straight, just to have the attorney look over the intake paperwork I was told to complete and return, I need to pay a minimum of $175 for 1/2 an hour? Again, this is NOT what I was told initially. Of course, fellow Yelpers, it's up to you whom you trust with your legal assistance, but be warned. THIS one is playing games and seems to only want that almighty $$$$$.

My calls were screened and it is now oct 2018. My case still isn't settled. I was told by one aid a year ago that if I held out and let them take the physicians to court that I would receive a significant amount more. She has since been fired she also told me that they wouldn't take a higher percentage but I signed the contract without reading it fully and taking her word. A great mistake. That was not true either they received the extras. This is the first time I have ever been in an accident and the attorney received more than the person that was injured. They didn't do anything illegal but I feel it is morally unethical. You would think they were in the accident. To add insult to injury; my case went to court on June 29th 2018. It is Oct 19th 2018. Funds still haven't been disbursed. My breakdown was 7,650.00 Medical bills were settled at 1583.00 Attorney too 50 percent of the gross at 3,655.75 Left me with 2072.50 They didn't even split the court cost I had to eat all those too. I am 44 years old and this is by far the worse representation I have had by any attorney in any capacity. I even referred a client to them. Two weeks after I signed my contract. Their case has closed they were dissatisfied as well. I haven't received my referral from that case. I will never recommend this form to anyone. I hate I walked thru the door. The driver of the vehicle received 3000 dollars for the same accident a year ago. He didn't sell immediate medical attention. He in fact worked a week before he even spoke to his attorney. In my case I did everything right accept choose the right legal representation. Hopefully my post will save someone else from going thru this unsatisfactory representation.
