    Kale Caesar Salad

I stopped in to try the $12 dollar pasta and I ended up falling in love with the Kale Caesar. It was perfectly made with fresh parmigiana and amazing croutons. The Penne Funghi was so comforting and freaky, the mushrooms were a perfect addition and honestly this was one of the best meals I've had in 2025. The ambiance was amazing for an afternoon lunch, the service was great. I highly recommend this for a random lunch or a date especially if you love pasta. I will be back again soon!

Woaaa! Their happy hour and $12 pastas are unbeatable. Originally stopped in to try their happy hour menu. We ordered the rice balls, mozzarella sticks, meatballs and pizza. Everything was $7 each. My favorites were the pizza and rice balls. Then, the server mentioned they're running the $12 pasta special. We ordered the Rigatoni Salsiccia, which had the most amazing tomato sauce with crumbled sausage. My only comment was that the noodles felt a little under done, but my partner said that's the more authentic way to enjoy pasta :) it's a personal preference so I'm not weighing that heavily in my review. Plus, the pasta portion was huge so great value here. The staff was kind and frequently checked in to refill our waters. In the evening, they dim the lights for a cozy vibe. I'd definitely return to Fumo! My friends highly recommend the Caesar salad, so that's next on my list!

It was my first time eating at FUMO and I was very pleased with my experience. Sundays and Mondays the pasta and pizza are heavily discounted but you still get the same portion of food! This was an important factor for my friend and I since we're both college students. She got a vegan pasta (which she said was a bit salty) and I got the kale caesar salad with shrimp which I liked. We got complementary bread as well for our meal. Overall the food was decent. Before 7pm the restaurant was well lit and they dimmed the lights later on during the night. The waiter was attentive and respectful and cracked jokes here and there. It was a nice night for us.

Second time coming here, although I went to the other location last time. Their food is always so amazing. Full of flavor, I had to even take an order to go. Server was great.. The ambiance was a calm lively feel. I'll be returning again, they never disappoint. The calamari and shrimp francese- DELICIOUS!

4.5 for take out & first time! Will come back The $12 pasta specials have to be recognized and not just for the price ($27 for 2 after tax) Funghi pasta not only has plenty of mushrooms but cooked with truffle oil. Aromatic from beginning to end Carbonara pasta is not a dish I will order again. I am not sure if it is the peas or the cured meat used that is extra dry but it is a very greasy sauce to the point the flavor is drowned out The staff was very friendly even for pickup Cash gives you a discount BTW

Circled the 4 small grilled shrimp.

Starting this by saying the Alfredo in this place is really good. Ambience is amazing, service (when I was at the bar waiting for food) was amazing. Now, the reason why I am writing this review is because I spent $9 on a side of grilled shrimp. More specifically, only 4 SMALL pieces of shrimp... It is quite literally enough to put one North, East, West, and South of the plate. I would have expected more considering the price, at least 6-7 (Jokes aside). Just an extremely small portion considering the price.

Fumo has quickly become one of my go-to spots on the Upper East Side, whether for brunch or dinner. The food is consistently delicious, and the ambiance is bright and refreshing. The space has a light, airy feel with lots of white tones, natural wood, and greenery, creating a calming and stylish atmosphere. For brunch, my friend and I opted for the bottomless option, which is a fantastic deal. I always order the Lox Pizza--it's absolutely to die for! My friend went with the breakfast sandwich, and we started with the burrata paired with prosciutto and fresh tomatoes. Everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The service was attentive, and the combination of the beautiful setting and amazing food makes for a great dining experience. Whether you're stopping in for a leisurely brunch or a laid-back dinner, Fumo never disappoints. Highly recommend!

I'm still thinking about the Roni pizza. A perfect mix of flavors over a crispy crust. 10/10

I absolutely love and adore Fumo. Their $12 lunch specials are huge portions. Generous happy hour portions. Half-price bottles of wine on Tuesdays. it's a great spot.

Have been wanting to come to Fumo for a while now and am so glad we finally did! We stopped by during a weekday lunch and were pleasantly surprised. It was super busy! For a weekday! We ordered arugula salad with grilled chicken, eggplant parm and the rigatoni bolognese. And the crème brûlée for dessert. I was very pleasantly surprised by all the dishes ! They were delicious ! Why have we not been here earlier ? The lunch special pastas are definitely a great deal!

Fumo is always a go to restaurant for my family and I and the food is always delicious! We were unable to get a reservation online and after putting a notification on, the restaurant called us directly to let us know they can accommodate our party which was really appreciated. I ordered the chicken parm which was good and my brother got the veal chop special which was delicious and I hope they add to their normal menu! We shared a side of mushrooms which were so good as well. I ordered the Amelia cocktail which was too sweet in my opinion and I usually enjoy sweet drinks. Overall was a great experience and service is always excellent.

Baba Al Rum was also tasty, as was the Orecchiette. Rigatoni was salty, but well-flavored. I visited a popular Italian restaurant from the Union Square Hospitality group with a group of five others. The restaurant is quite large, and although it was somewhat noisy, the tables were spaced apart enough that it was easy to hear everyone. We had an early dinner at 5:45 PM, which took quite a while, but I didn't mind. To drink, I went with the Bitter Giuseppe for $19, with Cynar 45.3, Punt e Mes, lemon, and sea salt. I'm a fan of most Negronis, and this was a particularly bitter version. The bit of lemon and sea salt added a unique but enjoyable flavor at the end, though in retrospect, the salt probably wasn't super necessary. Two of us split, and eventually, a few of us ordered their signature appetizer, the $18 Cast Iron Focaccia, with tomato conserva, a mixture of crushed tomatoes, olive oil, and Calabrian chili. The bread was fresh and warm, albeit a tad oily and salty, but it paired wonderfully with the conserva. As someone who doesn't like it when bread is extra, this was delicious and worth it. Another person ordered the $18 Insalata Verde. It was very large, but fairly basic, with a vinaigrette that had a citrusy and mustardy flavor. There was also the Caramelized Onion Torta for $27, which was very large, as expected for the price point. It had a creamy and tangy flavor from the Pecorino Toscano with some sweetness from the onion. It was delicious, but very heavy, and I would recommend that around three or four people split it alongside the focaccia. Finally, there was also the $15 Pizza Bianca, which was easily the smallest of all the plates, but they still enjoyed it. My main dish was the Orecchiette for $26, with ramps, pistachio, and pecorino. Like most of their dishes, the portion size was quite large, with plenty of pasta, which was perfectly cooked. The ramps added a touch of sweetness, although I would have liked a few more nuts. Additionally, there was almost too much pecorino, which made the dish slightly salty, but it was still enjoyable. As a side, I got the $19 Grilled Asparagus with dates, vermouth, and blue cheese, which came with many pieces of lightly charred asparagus. While there was plenty of funky blue cheese, I would have preferred more dates. Two of the others got the Rigatoni Alla Gricia for $30. The portion was large, and I tried a bit while they tried mine. The noodles were again cooked perfectly, and while there was a lot of guanciale, this was easily the saltiest of all the dishes. For dessert, I chose their Baba AU Rum for $18, which was uniquely mixed with chocolate and orange. The presentation was a bit off, as it looked like a certain emoji, but the flavor made up for it. The subtle hint of rum paired with the bitter-sweet chocolate and orange. The dark chocolate-covered orange slice on top was a nice touch as well. Someone else got a tart, and one other person got the Gelati, which resulted in one of the only faults during service. She heard it was two scoops, and ordered espresso stracciatella and hazelnut, but was given two separate orders for $12 each. The gelato was good, but unlike most things, definitely not worth it for the price. I liked the appetizers much more, but I found the food good overall. Tasty dessert, and the portions make up at least a bit for the relatively higher prices.

We started with the housemade focaccia and Wagyu carpaccio--both were outstanding, with the perfect balance of crispy, flavorful, and fresh elements. My partner and I shared the pasta, hangar steak, and potatoes, which turned out to be the ideal amount for two. We finished with the famous olive oil cake, which we loved for its subtly sweet, moist and tender bite. Served with lightly whipped cream and raisins, the combination was surprisingly delicious. We were also touched by the complimentary anniversary scoop of ice cream. The interior seating is a bit snug, but the decor is beautiful--elegant yet homey. The service was good as well. Overall, we highly recommend L'Artusi for a special night out!

L'Artusi has been on my radar for a while, ever since I heard it was a hot spot and saw reviews of…read moreit being one of the best Italian restaurants in NYC. Being Italian American, I'm hypercritical of spots like these - but nevertheless the positive reviews were overwhelming so I wanted to check it out for myself. One of my friends and I were looking to catch up, so I booked a table and off we went. While it can be tricky to get a reservation during prime dinner time, it's relatively easy to get a lunch reservation - or an early/late dinner. I managed to get a reservation for dinner at 9:15pm which was the earliest I could find. The restaurant is pretty unassuming on the outside - it looks like a converted brownstone and once inside we were greeted by a large space with a sceney vibe. The space is split between two levels with a large bar up front and a semi-open kitchen in the back. The decor was modern - with lots of greys and neutral tones which was a little unexpected. The main star of the menu is pasta, but they also have a few non-pasta mains as well as some crudo selections, apps, and sides. We decided to get a few apps, two pastas, and one side. To start, we went with the octopus, roasted mushrooms, burrata crostone, and focaccia. These were all really good, but my favorite was the mushrooms. I'm usually not a fan of mushrooms but these were prepared with red pepper and fried egg and were delicious; it cut through the earthiness and changed the texture to something I really enjoyed. The focaccia was also a standout - it's house made and was paired with a peppery oil that complemented the bread well. For mains we split two pastas - the caccio e pepe and the rigatoni. Both of these were very good, though I felt the rigatoni was the stronger dish. It was prepared with sausage ragu, soppressata, broccoli rabe pesto, and pecorino. The flavors worked really well together and the pasta was cooked al dente. The caccio e pepe was perfectly fine, I just feel it's been overplayed and didn't feel there was anything that stood out amongst the others I've tried. We also got a broccoli rabe as a side which was great. We couldn't leave without dessert and decided to get their olive oil cake and quattro formaggio cheesecake. The restaurant is known for the former - it was perfectly fine but I've had olive oil cakes elsewhere of the same or better quality. The cheesecake was the stronger dessert IMO - the combination of cheeses gave it an interesting, almost savory flavor. The brûlée top and mascerated strawberries were great texture and flavor complements. Service was great - the place was packed but service was consistently on point and everyone was friendly. Overall, I had a good experience at L'Artusi. While everything was very good, I'm struggling to find the exact reason why this place became such a hot spot compared to other Italian spots in the city. Nevertheless, you'll have a good meal here and I would definitely return if given the opportunity.

I read the reviews mostly good so I was hoping for the best. My friends and I were not disappointed. The first thing I noticed was there were 7 people in my party and 4 arrived early and did not have to wait for my arrival to be seated. Second the waiter who took our order was polite and on point with specials and knowledge of the menu. He (just never caught his name) suggested the Rigatoni which chicken and sausage. I am not really a pasta eater but baby that dish could change that; it was DELICIOUS. I even liked the anchovy dressing on my Caesar Salad and I dislike anchovies. All the dishes ordered (chicken parm, mussels chicken paillard etc.) everyone enjoyed them immensely. The only negative was when the Chicken Paiikard arrived it was supposed to a shared dish by the elderly couple and they asked for regular dinner plates from one of the servers. It took the gentleman who took our order to step in and said sure, lucky their food was still hot. Common Sense is not so common for all. But this will not lower my rating as it was taken care of swiftly. The portions were the perfect size and I was not stuffed but pleasantly satified.
