Unfortunately, I can't ignore how disappointed I was with their overall execution and communication. Lighting was one of the few elements of our wedding my husband truly cared about--and entrusted to BEL. We contracted them to provide three key lighting features: a large custom GOBO sign, pin lights for 12 tables to highlight our floral centerpieces, and a disco ball to enhance the ambiance. To be fair, the disco ball was executed beautifully. It created the exact mood we were hoping for and truly added to the atmosphere of the evening. That, however, is where the praise ends. The pin lighting was a major letdown. Despite several conversations with Jason, Fritz, and the BEL team about our expectations--particularly that the pin lights should spotlight our centerpieces for optimal visual impact in person, in photos, and in video--the results fell drastically short. The lighting was virtually invisible throughout the event. It failed to appear in our professional photos and videos, and not a single guest I spoke to recalled even noticing it. I specifically chose this lighting to elevate the look of the tables I had spent a great deal of time and money curating. That effort was completely lost. I reached out post-wedding to get clarity, and instead of accountability, I was met with blame. Their response was that I didn't book a lighting tech with my package. But isn't that the reason we hire professionals--to ensure our vision is executed properly? At no point during the planning process did they offer meaningful guidance or advise me on the limitations or considerations of pin lighting. Instead, it felt like I was being upsold, rather than truly supported. A simple conversation about whether pin lighting would achieve the look I wanted could have saved me nearly $1,000 and a lot of disappointment. As for the custom GOBO, it was initially projected in a way that was visually unappealing--cropped and too small. Thankfully, we caught this during a private venue walkthrough and were able to correct it ourselves before guests arrived. That should not have been our responsibility. To any future couples considering BEL: be extremely specific. Ask every question imaginable. Do not assume that you're hiring a team who will take ownership of helping bring your vision to life. In our case, what we received felt incomplete and careless--all because we declined to hire a lighting technician for the day. We expected a professional service. Instead, we received bare-minimum effort.

I am the CEO of a non-profit organization with an international membership, and we discussed our meeting needs (part in-person and part virtual) with this company in advance. They promised a flawless execution and, based on the reviews we were confident that they would deliver. As you guess from my rating, they certainly did not deliver. They messed up presenters' presentations where slides were not displayed well, embedded movies were not played, symbols and letters were skewed (although they claim to have tested them in advance). Their equipment look old and didn't work for half of the time - they didn't even have functioning microphones. Even working on AV for our board meeting (simple zoom connection) turned out to be a half-day program, using their equipment which failed along the way. And the attitude of "I know better" was really exhausting. They wouldn't listen to our needs and tried to tell us how we should be running our meeting. We spent 5 days where everyone involved in the planning of the meeting had to micromanage the AV staff and struggle to get anything done. A very stressful experience. Overall, unprofessional, poor execution, and unacceptable delivery. Definitely a NO!

Words cannot express how fortunate my husband and I were to have hired Pink Orchid Weddings (Emilie). I first met Emilie in 2010 during my good friend Martha's wedding and witnessed first hand the great work Emilie produced. It wasn't until my actual wedding that I REALLY understood how much goes into her job and how good she is at what she does. While my wedding was in Boston, I planned it from Philadelphia. I consider myself a relatively organized and relaxed bride, but even I managed to fall victim to the stress of planning a wedding. Even with the random curve balls that were thrown at Emilie (last minute vendors being added 3 days before the wedding, trolley companies backing out,...etc) Emilie always kept her cool and helped me prioritize and organize myself. While professionalism and attentiveness are just a couple of the many positive traits that she will showcase when you work with her, what it all boils down to is that she is simply a truly good person who loves her job. For example, after a long wedding day. Emilie went above and beyond her duties and gave the exhausted bride (me) a lift to the hotel. While it is strange to say I went home with my wedding coordinator, it honestly was not weird at all! While this is by no means part of her job, it just demonstrates how dedicated she is to her job and how thoughtful of a person she is. I highly recommend Pink Orchid Weddings. I can honestly say that my wedding would not have been nearly as memorable if I did not have Emilie there by my side.

After getting engaged and deciding to plan a wedding 3000 miles away from my venue and never having been to a wedding as an adult, i realized that I should probably get some help. I had no idea what really happens during a wedding never mind how to plan a wedding! So I found Pink Orchid through my photographer Shang Chen of Shang Chen Photography who HIGHLY recommended this company. I looked through the photos on their webpage and was a little worried that my wedding wouldn't be fancy enough for them but after chatting via email I decided to meet up with Emilie while I was in Boston. I immediately liked her and realized quickly that she placed no judgement on my budget (and mostly DIY) wedding. I hired her as our Day of Coordinator. This was by far the best decision I could have made in my wedding planning process. Emilie sent me a monthly checklist to keep me on track during my year long planning process and was always available via email for any questions I had. A month or so before the wedding Emilie and I had our first phone consultation (this wasn't an in-person meeting because she's in Boston and I was in CA). We spoke for several hours going over every single detail of my ceremony and reception. After getting all of my details in order she set up this amazing list of all of my vendors and what they were providing me and she personally followed up with all of them. She also provided me with a timeline of events down to the minute! Now, this sounds kind of anal (well, it did to me at first...) but it wasn't. She just had a good grasp on how the day should go and was able to put it all down on paper in an orderly way that I never could have done in a million years. The morning of my wedding, Emilie arrived bright and early to our hair appointment and checked in with me before she went to our venue. When I got to the venue she already had everything rolling. She filled me in on what had arrived and made sure that I was doing well. I felt so calmed by her presence, knowing that everything was going to be set up exactly as I had wanted (or better). She worked with my venue coordinator to make sure the food and service went well and worked with my other vendors to make sure that they were providing to me what they had promised. Emilie was there to help fix my flower girl's pomander when it broke. She was there when the lunch hour became a little boring and helped moved the timeline along faster to get the dancing started. It's those little things throughout my day that I didn't want my mom or I to think about or stress out about and Emilie made sure that we didn't stress out about anything. Emilie helped take down all of the elements that they had put up that morning and had it all packed up in boxes ready to be put in cars. Through set up and take down she was amazing. I HIGHLY recommend Emilie and Pink Orchid Weddings for anyone getting married who needs a little (or a lot) of help. The service was a little pricy, but my cross-country planning self needed some reassurance that everything was going to work out that day and it did. My wedding was absolutely amazing and I owe a part of that to Emilie.

We hired Snapshot Entertainment to provide their Deluxe Photo Booth Package for our November 2016…read morewedding. From beginning to end, Juliet and Allison were absolutely incredible. They were extremely prompt responding to our emails, exceedingly personable (our wedding guests LOVED them) and they allowed us to customize every single thing about our photo booth - we chose the backdrop color and even the photo strip colors down to the wording and font. They came prepared with a TON of cool props and printed extra copies of each strip, putting together a scrapbook for us to keep as a memento. They decorated the book with adorable jewels and personalized it with each guest adding notes next to their picture. The scrapbook was given to us at the end of our wedding and it was so great to look through later that weekend to see all the fun our guests had and read their well wishes, especially because it'll take weeks to get our professional pictures back & we were able to see these right away! OH! AND they put all of the pictures on a Flash Drive for us to keep & also uploaded them to their online gallery (password protected if you'd prefer). Seriously - they were incredible & really thought of everything. We would highly recommend Snapshot Entertainment for any function you're planning. They are well worth the investment. Out of all of the people we interviewed, Karman seemed the most enthusiastic and organized about photographing our wedding. It was clear from the beginning that she would dedicate a very high level of care and attention to making sure that we got beautiful photos in the style we were looking for. Karman really went above and beyond to make our photos look great. She made extra trips in advance to our ceremony and reception venues so that she could check out the lighting situation and scope out possible locations for great shots at each. She did a wonderful engagement shoot with my husband and I where she helped us to get comfortable with her style and with getting lots of pictures taken! I'm so happy we did that, because it made us so much more comfortable on our wedding day, and the pictures we got are really spectacular. At our wedding, Karman was all over the place hustling to get tons of fantastic shots of our guests, our venue, and of course us! She was also extremely easy to get along with -- I remember interviewing another photographer who told me she would yell at my family members to get them to stand still for group portraits -- and I was so happy we went with Karman instead. She managed to get beautiful shots of everyone while never seeming at all pushy or intrusive. I would definitely recommend Karman -- I'm really glad we chose her.

Her and her assistant-- and it was so amazing to have a second shooter-- captured every important moment. Price was a big factor for us, too, as we paid for most of the wedding ourselves, and Karman's wedding package was significantly less than most of the photographers we contacted. She worked with us to make sure what we wanted worked with our budget, and she also spent a good amount of her own time meeting with us before the wedding, doing a walk through at our venue, and arriving earlier than scheduled the day of the wedding.
