When we moved here this was the place my family & friends recommended to visit. You can think it's sad but people come to celebrate their beloved ones, there's music, food and remembering good memories, people decorate the graves, make carpets of flowers& even bring their relatives' favorite foods. 3) The food, in Dia de Muertos there's tons of food stands outside the cemetery, you can get anything from garnachas, tacos, flautas, desserts, even beer! So this year try to visit Panteon General for Dia de Muertos!

Visited this Panteon Barrio Xochimilco for the day of the dead festivities. What an experience!!!…read moreWe were able to visit this place as the Panteon General is closed at night due to damages sustained afternoon the earthquake. We were told the activities were held here. We went to see the cemetery during the day and spoke to a couple of people that told us to come at night. Which we did. There where a few local bands performing some great music. Later we were able to enjoy hot chocolate and the pan muerto, the traditional bread. Don't miss it!!!
