Went here for brunch with friends, was not disappointed. It's definitely a cafe style restaurant, there's not a lot of space inside and the tables/seats are a bit crowded. That said, everything is priced very reasonably and staff is very friendly. The food was good, and the only thing that fell short was my eggs benedict, the yolk was fully cooked and not runny how it's supposed to be. That said it still tasted great and the sweet potato fries were the perfectly crispy. Service was fast too!

Wonderful Staff & Outstanding Food. Thank you ... If you are looking for a breakfast place ..... this is it

I wanted Eggs Benedict. It came with country ham, way too salty, and very tough. Hard to cut. The side of fruit was small. Not bad, not good. Ambiance? What's that? Strip center, dark, so-so service. If I'm back in this area, I won't be coming back.

Kristy and Laura Lee took great care of me, my mom and daughter. Customer service always seals the deal for me or is a dealbreaker. The deal was sealed. I pulled up to the door to let my mom out who uses a walker. Before I could get her out of the car, the manager I think came out and held the door open for us. She had even already selected the nearest table to the door and had our menus on the table. Come on! I knew then it was going to be a good experience and it was. I got some sort of shrimp and grits dish with this cream sauce which was delicious. I was told it's not always on the menu so I wanted to try it. Beware there is bacon in it. I typically don't eat pork but it was still delicious. Our service was great and both of our servers were very friendly. The kindness and care towards my Mom really stood out. We came in the afternoon on Saturday which was a great time. We were told in the morning there's usually a 45 minute wait. Food is so fresh. They serve breakfast and lunch and ended up closing while we were there. However we were not made to feel like we had to hurry our meal and get out. The bathroom is clean. Private single room. Large enough for my mom to take her walker in. Restaurant is not huge so if you appreciate quaint this is it. They also own Fresh Chef a few doors down. Both are worth checking out!

Nice little breakfast spot with waitresses as sweet as peach tea. Amped my avocado toast with a cheddar biscuit in lieu of toast - yummy! Cheddar grits were solid, but nothing to write your Southern mama about.

I really enjoyed my time here. Very small and quaint. The perfect spot for an intimate breakfast or brunch with a friend. My food was delicious. I ordered the spinach salad topped with salmon and a side of fresh berries. I also ordered a pineapple mimosa and it was delicious. If you're ever in Cornelius and in need of a quick bite here us your place! Service was awesome and quick!

So this restaurant has been on our list for awhile, but weekends are pretty busy for brunch. So we came in on a Monday instead and there was no wait. I couldn't decide what to order, because so many items on the menu look so good, and the yelp page has such great reviews. I finally landed on the Baja omelette and ordered a side of hashbrowns with peppers and onions and a biscuit. It was really good, I loved the jalapeños in the omelette because I really enjoy spicy food. It was a lot of food and I was full by the time I ate half of it. I also tasted the Reuben and OMG it was so good we got one to go. The staff was super nice and friendly, and our server Tim gave us some great recommendations not only for menu items at the Fresh Egg, but also for other good restaurants in the Lake Norman area. It seemed like a lot of the customers were regulars, who knew what they wanted, ate their food and left. That may be us one day, because we'll definitely return.

Let me start by saying.....when I say Fresh Egg is NOT to be missed out on, I mean it with all of me!! I had a major craving for a Reuben sandwich and outside of Katz Delicatessen in New York, Fresh Egg is now my #2, but is working it's way up to #1 (and I've only been once...so far). LOL! Fresh Egg is located on Catawba Avenue in Cornelius, where there are a variety of stores, eateries, etc. The restaurant is located in the same shopping center as fresh market and a ton of other stores, so it's super convenient if you have to make a stop. Upon arrival, there were tables/seating outside and upon entering the restaurant, there were pub tables and regular tables inside. The decor of the restaurant made it feel very welcoming as a breakfast spot and it truly felt like a place "where everybody knows your name". Come to find out, that truly lived up to that notion! While eating at Fresh Egg, there were numerous patrons that came in and the staff knew their names! That's how you can tell that this place is super legit! #regulars As I mentioned, I had a craving for a Reuben sandwich. As soon as I asked about the Reuben sandwich, Tim (the best waiter) immediately told me that it was hands-down the best! And he was right! Their corned beef is made in house and it is super tender. After seeing another review on Yelp, which described the Reuben sandwich as melts in your mouth, that's exactly what it did! In fact, it was SO good that we ordered one to go! The staff at Fresh Egg was absolutely amazing! And not only were they friendly, accommodating and welcoming upon arrival, but they also have GREAT personalities and make you feel so welcome, even as a first timer. It really helps you to see why so many people come back again and again! Tim was our waiter and he gave excellent recommendations, not only for Fresh Egg, but also for other eateries and breweries in the Lake Norman area. With service and food that was experienced, I cannot wait for my second visit (which will likely be in less than a week)! LOL! We let the staff know that they'll likely know our names and get tired of seeing us show up! LOL! If you are in the Cornelius area, PLEASE stop by or grab a meal to go! You'll be kicking yourself for not doing that!

They need to reduce and clean...especially the bathroom full of hanging clothes. There were items on the menu that were not available, but overall the tea part was fine (they just took a while to bring out sugar, milk etc. that you'd expect to come with it). The most disappointing part was that I'd assumed since it was a cafe that there would be fresh pastries or other items homemade on the tea platters. The scones seemed fresh, but a lot of the other appetizer items looked like the frozen hors d'oeuvres from Costco or something, which was super sad. Overall, I would have expected more for the price and the non-optional $20 gratuity.

I love French inspired cuisine. I have traveled across France. We hosted a French exchange student for a year. I took French in school. This was meant to be a specialized gift for the occasion. The small seating area only had 10 tables tightly fitted into the back of the strip shopping center store. The decor was eclectic but overwhelming. It feels claustrophobic but clean. There were two servers tending to the dining room. They were friendly. There were mistakes on the special menu and they alerted of the issues. They had a special Valentines menu, a tea menu, and a dessert menu. The tea was good. They got it out in a reasonable time. The server brought me a smidge of honey. They had a decent selection of caffeine free teas. She took our food order the same time as our tea order. We sat at our table waiting for an hour before questioned the status of our meal. The table beside us was also becoming restless and tired of waiting. Finally the table beside us received his chicken salad sandwich. His date received my date's order ant took a bite. They resolved this by taking the plate from the incorrect table and gave it to my date AFTER it was touched! This left me sitting there with no food. My date finished her meal and I was still sitting there with nothing. I only ordered a salad topped with grilled chicken!!! After being there for one hour and fifty minutes they said the chicken was still not ready. They didn't charge if for our meal but I never received any food. Nothing. This was a well thought out special occasion that was ruined by an incompetent kitchen. It was a disaster. I left there and stopped by Jersey Mike's. Two hours of my life totally wasted.

It was very odd because the light crowd made it feel like a VFW yet there was a bouncer at the door. Huh? Any place that has a bouncer is probably bad news if you just want to chill. I chose to roll with it anyway and when I asked the bartender if they had a drink menu, she placed a small sign in front of me with a QR Code for the menu. This shouldn't be a big deal but this is why I left. I don't go somewhere to have to use my phone. If I want a beer (or wine), I'm there to relax, not work. I was also in a dark corner of the bar, where it's like being trapped in a corner. Btw, there was a drunk guy singing in the bathroom. When at Kickback Jacks all the way in Mooresville, two people mentioned this place to me and how great it was. So, I think this is a "It's me, not you" situation. The place should make sense in theory--it should be enjoyable when you look at it. In reality, it's a no for me. I'll stick to my favorite haunts (and find a new place to add so I have 3.5). All that said, I still might pop in one more time during the day to confirm I don't like it. This review is subjective. Objectively, you might love it. For me, I have tried three times and have never felt an ounce of warmth from the atmosphere or anyone. You gotta feel good walking into a place. If you don't, then no matter how good it looks, it's not your place.

The sausage was tender with a delicious onion gravy. Some veggies were included (green beans, cauliflower and carrot). The mash itself was creamy and chunky, just the way I love it.
