It was fall and we were told we had to wait until the ground froze, then we got lots of snow before freeze up. Finally we found Cougar Tree Care! In what looked to me like a very precarious operation (although he handled it skillfully), he climbed the tree and cut it down bit by bit. We actually ended up calling the police to make sure they were legitimate. It turns out that they are a legitimate company, but later, when I called the business, the man I spoke with was confrontational and hung up on me, saying that he didn't need to talk to me. He did call me back, but then LIED to me, saying he did ring the front doorbell, which he never did. The three people in our house--myself, my husband, and my daughter--did not ever hear the doorbell. The man also stated that because the gate to our backyard was open that he thought he could just waltz right onto the property and do what he needed to do. This company has disrespectful and horrible customer service skills, as well as deplorable business ethics. I would never, ever, recommend using Roger Fischer Tree Service to anyone.

Heartland Masonary (Nathan Perry) was very quick to respond to me and get me an estimate. 6/16/23…read morean estimate cost was agreed on and a deposit was paid to him for materials. Nathan told me that he would have the job completed by the end of July. 8/7/23 I reached out to him to find out a timeline. He said it will be another two weeks at most but not to be pushed out beyond that. 8/28/23 he asks if he can set up, I say of course anytime. 8/29/23 he set up a scaffolding around 8am. 10:30am that same day he tells me the bricks needed are a special order and would take another week or two. I agree to wait. 10/13/23 I ask him about the brick order. 10/14/23 He says he forgot about me and will check with the brick supplier. I say ok. 10/15/23 he says he dropped the ball on things with the brick supplier, but will let me know in the morning on the situation. 10/16/23 in the afternoon I ask him what he found out. 10/24/23 I call the brick supplier to find out, they have had no contact with Nathan for a while. I then message Nathan and tell him that due to winter near, I'd just like my deposit back and revisit things in the spring. Nathan then tells me that the brick supplier is able to get the bricks and they are on the way. I call the brick supplier back to find out they still haven't talked to him. I told Nathan I would like my deposit back. He agreed. 11/22/23 I ask for my money again. He said he can only pay half right now. I said I need my full deposit back by 12/1/23 or I will have to contact my lawyer. 11/30/23 Nathan takes down the scaffolding and tells me he will drop off a check in the morning. He never did. 12/3/23 As of current, he has made no contact with me or paid a cent back.

This company has been pretty awesome so far. I've read that some companies just leave a tag without…read moredoing their job, but not this company. We've actually seen the grass tech out their treating our lawn. We actually talked to him before the process and right after to give us some helpful hints. Very nice and friendly. We try to get more bang for our buck and we felt like their prices were pretty reasonable.
