We ordered a table from funky chunky furniture and it arrived with a large unsightly crack on the table top. We contacted the company to start the returns process. They claimed that they do not normally accept returns, which goes against consumer rights, and then said they would take it back as a 'gesture of good will'. They would not cover the cost of the return postage which for a table of that size was £60.00, claiming that the crack was a 'rustic feature'. The table was not usable in its condition and the crack was not a feature despite their claims. Case raised with citizens advice to reclaim postage. read more
