In the middle of January our Hot water tank failed.We contacted furnasman and they came the next day. Over the phone the salesperson upsold us to 50 gallon tank. The one that failed was 40. I was working when the installers came to install the 50 gallon tank. They told my wife that a 50 gallon might not fit and that they may need to acquire a 40 gallon model. The technician phoned someone ant their company as were told to squeeze in the 50 gallon model.They indicated to my wife that it barely fit, but was installed anyways. She was informed that someone would be out soon to vent the water heater. A week later the individuals came to vent the production t and told my wife it was to large and they would phone Furnasman and we would hear from them shortly. Two weeks elapsed and I contacted this company with my complaint. A very polite woman sounded concerned and indicated that we would hear from them tomorrow. I instructed her to contact my wife as I work and she is at home. Meanwhile, I have been contacted mum Manitoba Hydro because they want to inspect the safety of the installation. 5 days after registering my complaint a voicemail was left on my phone from a Furnasman technician. As an educator I can't inform my class that they will have to wait for my conversation reading a water heater. Hence, why I asked them to contact my wife's cell phone number. My wife phoned the next business day and asked for assistance via a message. Here we are 4 business days later still waiting to have their mistake rectified. My advice to all people needing a water Heater.UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. When I told my friend the amount they charged us he was mortified. Super terrible, tried to sell a single mom in a trailer 11k Lennox furnace an ac and finance for another 9k totalling over 20k. Very pushy, overstayed for an hour with a fussy baby present. Had to call twice to request the work order be cancelled, then no response when asking to confirm financing information wad disposed of. read more

Had furnace cleaned and then the guy ended up putting a piece of cardboard from the air filter plus he sprayed something dark on my filter and told me that is what my filter collected from the dirty ducts... found out he sprayed it in my large garbage bin that was next to my furnace for the whole inside of my clean garbage can was dirty from the spray he used to spray my filter. then he told me that I needed a new motor or a new furnace... later i had another professional come to check why my furnace was making so much noise and that is when it was discovered that a long piece of card board was stuck in the fan of the motor. when the cardboard was removed, the furnace worked like it was supposed to and there was nothing wrong with the motor at all. I was being wrongfully told by the serviceman at Furnaceman Heating and air conditioning ... I was being scammed!! read more

I came in to purchase a filter and I walked into every office door being closed, when someone finally came out to help me she came out puffing her vape, I asked for a manager and she very rudely told me she was the office manager, she was not the office manager when I was in back in January. The previous lady I dealt with was very nice . I recommend getting your filters elsewhere. read more

Terrible! Paid $150 for some "Joe" to tell me my AC wasn't working... WTF! Then he proceeded to tell me it would cost $900+ to run a diagnostic. Good news, my $150 would go towards the overall cost of the diagnostic. WHAT A SCAM! Had another company come in and fix the "coolant" problem for $200. I would definitely stay away from these guys!!! Originally got our air conditioning with them, should have saw the warning signs when they didn't check to see if the thermostat was hooked up, and had to wait for them to come back! Decided to give them another chance with our furnace, biggest mistake!!! Again they had to come back due to the outside pipe not facing away from the out, but the BIGGEST problem was the 2000 deposit that we gave them was was either misplaced by the assistant that quit or our salespersons car got broken into and may have been stolen. Do you not think you should call us to let us know!!!! They came and fixed the pipe and we're going to pick up the check but we didn't have one. At the time , it's been two weeks and still no one has called us back about picking up the cheque. Worst people to do business as they only want to make the sale and care less about you or their customer service !!! Still paying the monthly installments to pay it off. Furnace is unreliable and undependable, quitting at the worst times, numerous times per year. I guess when my alternator goes I should buy a new car. That's basically the philosophy behind Furnasman. They arrived to do maintenance following a panic-stricken call from this single senior, whose noisy furnace was keeping him up. Of course the imminent danger is pointed out and a salesman dispatched. $8,000 estimate result in my friends all telling me this is ridiculous. One looks at the furnace, does a quick internet search, picks up a motor for $200 and puts it in in less than half an hour. How do you repay someone for that? But the gouging and taking advantage of people will continue, unfortunately. read more

I had no heat on Jan 24.  I called & furnaseman came out within 4 hours & fixed issue.  Needed a new circuit board (amazon $117)which technician had with him.  25 minutes later it was fixed. A little pricey but happy to get heat again. Old board was damaged by water. My issue is he never repaired the source of the water leak. I repaired the leak myself. Furnaseman allows you to apply the repair bill $1100 against new new furnace within a week.  I did have them quote me prices on a new furnace & found their prices very high. I recently received quotes at another residence so I had an idea on pricing. I am not sure if their prices are always high or the quote I received was higher to look like my repair bill was deducted from price.  I was very impressed by all the staffs promptness & friendliness but in the end will take my chances on my older furnace. read more

They came to my house to check the furnace and replace the Ignitor for the price nearly 700. I googled that cost around $40. So sucked. After that, the sale men of this company gave me the quote to replace the new furnace for more than 11,000. Please don't believe them. I called many companies and checked the prices. I am very happy with the 2 Lennox furnaces and humidifiers I purchased. However, the installation process was sub par. 1. They had to enlarge a hole in the outside wall of my home for the vents, and the man made it too small. It took much longer than expected, along with excessive banging, and the need for more installers to come. 2. They neglected to bring enough pipes to install the humidifiers. They did not run to their offices to get the pipes (office is about 15 minutes from my house), nor did anyone from the company bring the necessary supplies over. I was told the company would call to schedule another installation for the humidifiers. 3. No-one called to book this appointment; I had to call 2 days after and book it. There was no follow through on Furnasman's part. 4. When they did install the humidifiers, I discovered within hours of their departure that something was wrong: I could not get the heat to hold at its set temperature. I called and got a technician to come over. This man was prompt and knowledgeable. He realised immediately that the installer had connected one humidifier to the wrong terminal, resulting in one furnace over heating the house, and my having no control over the temperature. He apologised, as this is very basic installation procedure. The (very knowledgeable) sales rep who sold me the furnaces pointed out that you can buy furnaces anywhere; the main criterion in your choice of companies should be the training level, efficiency, and knowledge of their installers. I agree: do NOT get your installations done by Furnasman. read more

Very impressed with the tech that came to our home for a service call on our furnace. The problem was we had no heat. He quickly traced the problem to the thermostat, not the furnace. Before selling me a new set-back thermostat, which I would have happily purchased, he suggested we replace the batteries first, to see if that was the cause of the the problem. Two new AA batteries were installed and the furnace fired up. My only charge was for the service call! Also, he arrived earlier than expected and was gone in well under an hour. Honesty like this is how a business grows, through customer loyalty. When our furnace that is nearing the end of its time needs replacing, this company will get the job, no questions asked. read more

I had the company do a checkup on the unit that was installed just over a year ago, replacing the unit that failed within the 10 year period warranty. When the job was completed I was informed this unit was not covered any warranty, as when the new unit was installed it was covered under the existing warranty, which had about one year left on it. So I have a 'newer' furnace that has no warranty on it. Would have been helpful if that had been discussed when the units were changed and possibly the company could have offered some type of extended warranty on the replacement unit that was installed. read more
