This is such a great place. Inside I found a pop up shop run by an artist and picked up 2 packs of greeting cards that were hand drawn. There was a vinyl shop up front, gone was the mustang, which kind of made me sad. The furniture, oh lets talk about the furniture! There are some incredible pieces of vintage furniture that I would just kill to have. There was an amazing canopy bed that had already been sold, a stunning table on the 2nd floor that was simply amazing with it's black and gold art work, and that piano down on the first which is just begging for someone to pop a squat and play. I planned to spend the day in St. Pete's Edge and Grand Central districts on my day off. This was one of the few stores that was open on the day after Christmas. It is also located directly across from Hawker's so it was a convenient stop. This place is really cool. It has 4 floors of stuff! If I had a money tree, I would love to buy some pieces here, especially the dining room tables and chairs. However, everything is very expensive here (at least in my book.) In addition to all of the furniture, they also have a good selection of records and also vintage Playboys. I kind of thought it was funny to have the vintage Playboys which is why I took a picture and why I mention it. I don't think they have an elevator, I imagine they have a service elevator to move the furniture, but I walked up and down the stairs. Just something to keep in mind if stairs is an issue for you. read more

Cool vintage furniture shop. All I could think about while walking through it was the Brady Bunch. If I could have my own personal home decorator, it would be awesome. They always have an eye for bringing old to new. I know the people from HGTV have recently been to this store, and it makes sense why. There's a great selection of one of a kind antique furniture. Sad to me that the stuff I grew up with is now considered vintage. But it is pretty cool to see it again. I needed to replace our teak draw leaf table and have been on the lookout for years. Recently, I discovered FurnishMeVintage through a vintage furniture website. They had just the table and the price was so reasonable! My two concerns were would it really be in the excellent condition listed (I only saw the table online) and shipped with care? Well done on both counts! The table is much nicer than the original - the grain of the top and leaves match beautifully and it's in great shape. The shipper wrapped it carefully in shipping blankets covered with bubble wrap - very thankful for that, as it was a wet day when it arrived. Wonderful service! GORGEOUS MUST SEE STORE! The online photos don't do it justice. 5*****'s if you earn a hefty salary. This is what furniture Heaven looks like if you are a mid-century enthusiast w/ a six figure salary. It hosts 30,000 sq. feet of antique, contemporary & Scandinavian modern-- much of it restored. (I deducted a star due to the limited furniture pieces the average socioeconomic soul can purchase here.) Truly eye-catching new & antique furniture (most 60+ years young), as well as wall art, lamps, statues, & glass bowls. Lots of Scandinavian modern furniture, which (design wise) equates to expensive mid-century American. If you love Heywood Wakefield, you'll find some pieces here. Even the exterior of the building is exciting-- a restored four story 1926 gas plant (see pic) that dons a huge mural on its side-- see pic. The owners, formerly of NY, work w/ those who specialize in restoration, but they also buy from local artists. If you want a genuine antique or a modern piece (both w/ a mid-century design or feel), this large store is the place to be. Co-owner Jackie (whose husband Todd was not visible) & her female staffer (dressed in the most period-appropriate floral dress w/ boots) were both very friendly. They were laid back-- no sales push whatsoever. This business has three levels of floor merchandise w/ the fourth used for storage, etc. (There is no elevator as another patron mentioned.) The showrooms are packed full of beautiful stylish items, especially furniture. Each piece ranged in price from a few hundred dollars to thousands of dollars. I handled just one item that was under $295; most that caught my eye were $2,000 upward-- many over $9,000. My companion did purchase a large, green mid-century glass vase for $45. We drooled over the exquisite coral couch, the 3-piece baby pink sectional w/ white marble-topped attached end tables, the large $1,200 coral/white/green silver & wood lamp (see pic), & many other pieces. There are in-store sales; for example, a striking small wooden end table was marked down $145-- from $695 to $550. This is not a store for anyone on a tight budget. This business has a busy online webpage; all the furniture we saw is available online, as well as some of the artwork. (However, the art decor is limited on the webpage.) You can also sell your mid-century furniture to this business. If you love the look of quality mid-century furniture, you must NOT leave the area before stopping here-- regardless if the merchandise is in your price comfort zone or not. Blown away by the sheer size of this place and the three-stories of quality vintage furniture. We've been visiting vintage/MCM furniture places in Ft. Lauderdale, Oakland Park, and Orlando lately and stumbled upon this place in St. Pete when we were visiting. I think I'm probably more used to vintage furniture that's been touched up or redone because the pieces here were a little out of my price range, but that said, they all seemed like they were in great, if not perfect condition. The furniture is pretty curated so you don't have to dig through everything. Though, if you're looking for a set of something, make sure to check all three floors because I thought I saw pieces that could be from the same line of furniture but displayed on different floors instead of together. I came here on a random Monday afternoon just to browse after I had lunch in town. I'm not sure why there were reviews about how rude the staff is, they greeted me upon entering, chatted me up a bit, & were super friendly. I'm a big fan of vintage furniture- this is a gorgeous store with impeccable goods. It's as though time stopped & I walked into a set of Mad Men. This being said the perfection has a price. The furniture is in good condition, however the prices are high-end. They have 4 floors in their showroom - the first floor is furniture. The second floor is vintage records, an awesome little section with clothing, vintage Playboys, & knicknacks. The third & fourth are jammed pack with furniture & furnishings. I am throughly impressed with their inventory & how it looks like its plucked from a time machine. There's a mini dj booth on the second floor & I love how they were spinning records & playing great music. The 3rd & fourth floor was full of tables & chairs& more furniture. I really cannot express how amazingly well kept their vintage is. On every floor it's like a gallery featuring local artists whose prints are for sale. If we were coming here to purchase, we'd definitely have to come with a truck. So many things that for how their taken care of I would pay the price. read more

It is a very nice and large store with some beautiful mid-century furniture but the prices were astronomical and the parking is a bit of a nightmare. I don't understand why downtown St. Pete thinks they need to charge consumers to simply park and visit their businesses. Also, no one greeted me throughout the entire store and it created a feeling of unease. read more

I bought a $3500 piece of furniture that needed to be shipped out of town. I didn't find out the date of my delivery until the day it was being delivered. Because of a clerical error on their part it was delivered to my billing address instead of my home. I then had to wait for the driver for hours until he showed up. I had to rent a van, uncrate the furniture, put it in my van, and drive it 30 minutes to my house. This basically took up my whole day. Jenique said I would be reimbursed for my troubles. After two weeks and no phone call, I called and asked if I would be reimbursed $10 of gas and $120 for a rental van for the day- a trivial amount considering the hassle of driving to pick up the van and spending my day dealing with the result of their error. I asked to speak for the owner, and Jenique informed me that he would not be calling me back, I quote, "that's not going to happen". Being in business for myself for more than 30 years, I have never treated a customer so disrespectfully nor heard of someone being treated that way. Despite being informed that they have many satisfied customers, I would not say I am one of them. I would avoid this store at all costs. read more

She took extra pictures to show the product as well as she could. She made herself available to answer all questions. When the product arrived all I could think was that it exceeded my expectations. Wow. Some truly beautiful furniture and accessories can be found here. The prices were in line with the lovely quality and uniqueness of each piece. Apparently they are renovating so the upper floors were not showroom ready but the first floor had lots of dining room tables with chairs that could be mixed and matched as you pleased. There were also multiple living room sets in great condition. I did notice that when my friend inquired as to a possible sale she had seen advertised online, the front desk person all but rolled his eyes and claimed he knew not of such things as he couldn't be bothered. What a great store! You can furnish your entire home in this place. If you're in the area I suggest popping in and looking around because they have some really cool things to look at. They even have Playboy magazines from the 50s, albums, just a really cool retro store. I had a piece of furniture that needed fixed and these guys did an amazing job fixing it for me and at a really good price. It's a multi-level store which is hard to come by in downtown St Petersburg and it's right by Tropicana Field. So if you're in the neighborhood stop by you won't regret it!!! read more

I have never been able to do business with this store, I find them to be rude and condescending. Their merchandise is overpriced and were unwilling to negotiate. They increasingly include more and more new merchandise and have fewer and fewer vintage items. It seems to be moving away from what the store originally was. I initially called the store to see if they were interested in buying what appear to be 4 mid-century Lane end tables. I was directed to go to and utilize their website, which I did. The website instructed me to complete and email the following required documentation, which I did. "Send us information about the items you are selling. Be sure to include the following information in your e-mail: * Photos. * List the items you are selling. For example, dining table with 2 leaves and six dining chairs. * Your name and phone number. * Where you're located. * Condition information. Be specific. Are there notable scratches, chips, broken or repaired parts, is the piece from a smoking home or home with pets? * Your asking price." I quickly heard back from someone on the same day as my email - August 20, 2017. Hi _____, Thank you for the photos. I will review with my partner and get back with you. Are you able to deliver the tables to our store? Best, Jackie" I emailed Jackie back on the 21st with an answer to her question and a thank you for her reply. Not having heard anything back from her through September 3, I emailed her again on the 3rd and have still yet to hear back. Today is October 3, 2017. It would seem that a business would respond to customer inquiries with an answer either way, particularly after requiring the other party to do all of the above mentioned. While it is good to read others' positive reviews of the store, my experience is quite the opposite. What may be a cool store definitely is not cool with how they deal with everyone. read more

Expansive vinyl record offering and last time I was in, vintage Playboys. HUGE offering of furniture and artwork. Furniture is NOT stacked on top of each other (which is common among St Pete vintage and antique shops). Social media presence is on point and entertaining. One my most favorite stops in the burg. Recently had a minor issue with a dining room chair. Brought it back to the store for repair. Fully expected to pay accordingly. I can't say enough about this place! My girlfriend and I purchased a beautiful teak dining room table a few weeks ago. We had the table in our home for only a mere week before we noticed the finish on the table was not holding up against everyday use. I followed up with Todd at the store and inquired as to why the table was not holding up. His response was better than what I expected. He assumed all responsibility for the lack of finish on the table and explained that they would refinish the table for no charge and even deliver it for free! Very few businesses provide such a service or accountability for their products. If you don't mind paying a few extra bucks for a quality piece of furniture, then this is the place for you! Very disappointed with this business. They recently purchased mid-century furniture from us for under $100 and told us it wasn't worth hardly anything. A couple of weeks later we saw them reselling it for $800 ! We were certainly scammed and will NEVER do business with them again. UPDATE to business response: the furniture this business purchased from us was NOT refurbished when reselling it. The agreed upon price was based on THEM telling us the furniture "wasn't worth anything over $100". We believed them to be honest when they said that. This business was very dishonest and CLEARLY took advantage of us. It doesn't surprise us that their comment doesn't own up to their dishonesty. read more
