This preschool/daycare has been in the same location for over 30+ years! I love that my daughter came here, and both my granddaughters came here. Obviously the owners have changed since 30 years ago, but I would definitely recommend this place! As long as your kids are happy and they are learning, it is money well spent to introduce them to making friends and to start learning new things. Future Stars has been an incredible place for both of our children. A huge shout-out goes to "Miss Sarah" the school director. Her kind and creative leadership style trickles down into every classroom. She manages the school with a grace that balances organization with a deep, personal care for every student. You see it as every kid that walks by her office yells for her - and she responds right back with a snuggle and a smile! You can tell she truly loves her work, and that passion defines how the school operates. The teachers are equally incredible. Every single year a new classroom / teacher pairing brought a unique connection that allowed me to feel comfortable and my kids to feel safe. My kids tell me they miss their teachers over their weekends! They have created such a loving environment where our kids feel safe to take risks and explore. We especially love the creative monthly curriculum. It moves beyond just rote learning to prioritize curiosity, art, and discovery. The staff also maintains a strong focus on academics, finding interesting ways to challenge the kids and bring complex concepts to life. If you want a place where your children will be loved, challenged, and known - this is it. We couldn't be happier with the growth we've seen in both of our kids. My son attended FSA Mid-City for almost three years, and we could not be happier with our choice. He started when he was just 2 years old and stayed until age 5, and during that time he learned so much and was fully prepared for Kindergarten. The teachers, staff, and Director are all wonderful--caring, professional, and truly dedicated to the children. Every teacher is well-prepared and creates a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for learning. We will really miss FSA Mid-City, but we are so grateful for the strong foundation it gave our son. Future Stars has been an amazing infant care and preschool for my son. He has been with them since he was a baby, through the pandemic and will be leaving to go to kindergarten this summer. You can tell the staff really likes what they do. They care about the students immensely. They are very patient with my son and his inability to sit still. They really give the kids a fun learning environment. The cost has increased over the years, but they are worth every penny. Plus their pricing is rather reasonable for the quality of care. I attended several tours with different schools in the Torrance area before settling on FSA. We chose FSA because it felt like an actual school and not a day care center or a mom and pop place just trying to get my money. I like the fact that each classroom is separated with walls but still have connecting doors. This other school tour I attended was just one big "room" and it was just so distracting to have the older kids mesh together with the younger kids. I like the diversity. My daughter is mix and this was important for us. I like that each class had its own playground that is age appropriate. I like the hours. Starts as early as 7am and goes to 6pm. I like that it uses an app to sign kids in and communications through the app. They post pictures on instagram. The kids do a lot of educational activities but yet have long play time spent outdoors. Some school tours I attended felt like the toddler was attending college..... The teachers... I met some of the most amazing, kindhearted, patient, friendly, sweetest, competent teachers at this school. Sometimes I can't believe these teachers exist. They did have some turnover throughout the last few years which I am sad about... but..... As long as the director, Sarah, is still around nothing to worry about. Sarah is down to earth, kindhearted, genuine!!!!!, a superhero I would say. lol. Bottom line is I trust Sarah. read more

Our son attended FSA for the last few years and we loved it! We loved it so much, we continued to drive our son to FSA even after we moved further away. Ms. Sarah, the director, is highly competent and adored by all kids and parents alike. The teachers are fantastic - caring, smart, and go above and beyond to create fun educational environment for the kids. Each class has their own private IG acct, which the parents of the students can follow for pictures and videos of the class activities. FSA did amazingly during the pandemic by quickly placing protocols to keep the children and staff safe. They really care about the close-knit community created by the families and did not charge any families tuition during the months of state mandated school shut down (unlike most schools in the area). I will highly recommend Future Stars to anyone looking for a solid childcare for their littles. read more

My husband and I spent a good 2 months visiting and researching different preschools when we were getting ready to move to the area 2 years ago and it became very overwhelming, not to mention the cost. We ultimately decided on Future Stars Academy and boy are we ever glad we did. Our daughter came from a home day care environment with no structure or teaching of any kind. She blossomed right away. She's learned her alphabets, colors, shapes (cylinder, oval, rectangle, etc.), writing, coloring and so, so, so much more. All the teachers we have had have been very patient with our daughter and her leadership attitude. Our daughter loves to go to school every morning and is excited to get up and get dressed and waits for me with my keys at the door rushing me to take her to school. We absolutely love all the different activities the school always has planned year round for the kids and families. Everything from field trips where the parents are encouraged to join, classroom parties, outdoor activities and even PNO (parent night out) so that the parents can take a break every now and then, sponsored by the very same teachers the children already know. The school is very involved with the parents and children and I've never felt that their doors are closed or that they are hiding anything. The location is secure with a security lock with a secret code lock that each parent is given a code too. The code is changed periodically which gives an extra sense of security. The school is always maintained cleaned as they have a full time staff member which is constantly cleaning every room all day. No matter what time of day I've come in, she's always busy cleaning one thing or another. She is such a sweetheart and she remembers and says goodnight to each and every child by name. She always has a smile on her face and she is just simply amazing, a gem. My only gripe is that they don't have continued schooling till 12th grade. I would gladly continue to pay the monthly tuition for her to continue her studies here if they offered it. read more

I can't believe i haven't reviewed this school given our daughter has attended since she was 6 months old! My daughter started her as mentioned above, at 6 months old. She previously was in a home daycare but after an incident with the care giver and not wanting me to come by to see her during my lunch time, we took that as a red flag and had to mover her immediately. Both my husband and I were looking around the area for schools that had an infant room opening and just out of luck, i drove by Future Stars and decided to stop by. I didn't call to make an appointment and they were very welcoming. They gave me a tour, and I got to see the children during their Circle Time and they were so attentive. The infant room also has an circle time and the babies at the time, would sit in a bumboo as the teacher passed out sensory items for them to play with. I saw how caring the teachers were and that just warmed my heart knowing that this was going to be a good decision for us. The school uses sign language as part of their teachings and have a sign word of the week. They have the sign word posted so that the parents can practice at home as well. This was very helpful for us because my daughter was able to "communicate" to us what she wanted even before she was able to speak. Our daughter is 4 years old now and still attends Future Stars and is in the Pre-K class. Unfortunately, we are taking her out of the school because we have relocated to San Diego, but i do have to say its' been a hard process for us. We are now in search of a new school for her down there but can't find anything that compares to Future Stars. They have become part of our family and it is sad for us to have our daughter attend another school. The teachers and Director are so loving and even are going to allow my daughter be part of the Pre-K graduation so that she gets to a least graduate with her classmates. I can't be thankful enough to the teachers, director, and owners in everything they have done to make this such an wonderful and positive experience for us and our daughter. We LOVE this preschool!! My son started last December and for few weeks, he cried in the morning like any other new-starter would do. Now, he can't wait to go to school. All the staff are friendly, nurturing, and very loving. They have extra curricular activities everyday for those who apply and my son attends Soccer Shots and loves it!! They also have so many events like Snow Day, Ride a Pony, Mother's Day Tea Party, to name some. In summer, I was told there will be a lot more fun events! We are still incredibly happy at Future Stars. My oldest daughter went into Kindergarten more prepared than her peers. She was bored because she already knew everything they were teaching her. (She is now in 1st grade). My second daughter is now in the Pre-K class and is doing work almost at the level of my daughter in 1st grade. She is already starting to read and she is still in preschool! She is still happy every day. My youngest has blossomed so much since my last review. Her social skills are well developed and she can write her name (she is 3 years old). And her vocabulary is great. The extra curricular activities they offer are wonderful. So many classes you can sign up your kids for and they are on site! My daughters participate in the Webby Dance class and love it. They learn dance routines and songs and performed at the school's holiday show. It helps build self confidence and working with others. They also offer gymnastics, karate and Chinese! The staff is still amazing and the directors are always on it. This is the kind of place that you can go to work and feel comfortable that your kids are loved and taken care of. read more

I had the pleasure to do my observation for CDEV here. The staff were friendly and attentive. I sat in with Ms. Sarah & Ms.Aussie(hope I spelled it right!) pre-k class. Future Stars Academy has the greatest staff around. The teachers treat your children as if they were their own. They provide a loving and nurturing learning environment for your children to soak up. I've had several families I babysit for bring their children to this colorful infant/preschool. They provide excellent care from tiny babies to energetic pre-k. No other summer program compares to Future Stars Academy. They go on tons of fun and educational field trips off and on campus. Each classroom has a different theme, which stimulates the mind. The teachers are some of the most dedicated I've ever seen. Their creativity for curriculum can't be beat. I've seen many kids leave FSA more than prepared for kindergarten. The administration goes above and beyond to meet the needs of every child and every family. It helps that everyone there is friendly too! It's never uncomfortable discussing any questions or concerns. They are there to help! Overall this school is top notch. They take safety seriously and everyone seems on top of their game! I'm writing this review in response to the crazy who wrote the 1 star review. I don't know what medications she went off of and needs to start again, but I, nor none of the other parents who I speak to, have had any problems with the teachers, administration or facilities (OK parking could be better). Quite the contrary, I've experienced nothing but great interactions and professionalism at Future Stars. I'm probably the most critical dad you'll find. I demand my children have every educational advantage they can get, and early stimulation and education have been proven to lead to long term educational and career success. That's why I don't allow our children to watch tv, although my wife once in awhile allows a little Dora to slip in. We actually read books together, at night. I pop into my daughters' classes unannounced and have always found the kids engaged and actually learning (instead of sitting like zombies in front of a tv or computer). The teachers are not simply sitting on their butts baby sitting. They are teaching and the kids are actively participating. If that's what's important to you, then there's no better day care program than Future Stars. read more

I checked out this day care center because my daughter is expecting twins at the end of the year. I was given a tour and was very pleasantly impressed by the level of care given to these youngsters, especially the infants. One had to take off one's shoes when entering the infants' room, which is a good thing. All the children appeared happily engaged and there was no crying at all. I spoke to many parents who were visiting for a Mother's Day celebration, and each and every one of them raved about this place. We have been at FSA for the last 4 years. I can't say enough wonderful things about Future Stars! The teachers are so caring and loving. They treat the kids like their own. Mrs. Sarah in the front office is fabulous and so helpful. They have so many fun activities and special projects (pony rides, giant water slides in the summer, visiting aquarium, family bbqs, etc). I really love this school. I have been a parent at FSA for six years. My older daughter, who is now in first grade, graduated from here and my younger daughter is now in the younger two-year old room. The school has tons of "extras" like field trips, karate, music, gymnastics, Spanish, Chinese, etc... but without a doubt it is the teachers who really make it a special place. Every teacher in the room knows not just my daughter's name but her personality as well, which comes in really handy on those days she needs a little extra love. And the teachers also know my personality. They know what I do and don't want my daughters eating, what my priorities are and how to put me at ease on those days when it is hard to leave my baby. The education is very individualized, especially for the youngest children. Unlike many centers where the infant room is just a padded cell, FSA has curriculum for the babies with songs, circle time and tactile play. Be it walking, potty training or preparing for elementary school, they will work to your needs. I credit FSA with making my older daughter the wonderful, caring and helpful person that she is. Even now, two years out, she looks forward to coming back to visit and pick up her sister. (Neither of them will leave the building without stoping to hug each and every person they see on the way out the door.) And she came into elementary school very prepared - reading, knowing her numbers and able to do simple addition. The greater school community is great also. Not only are my daughter's closest friends her classmates from FSA, my closest friends are also their parents. We get together weekly outside of school for dinner, the park and other activities. I do have to warn you about one thing, though - be prepared for all the singing. Your child will frequently come home having learned a new song and will randomly start singing it in the car, at the dinner table, and anywhere else she gets the urge. read more

Let me start by saying, I was very reluctant to move my son from a close family friend's care to a school/daycare where strangers would be caring for him. At that time, my son was an only child. For growth, socialization, and development purposes, my husband and I decided that it would be good for him to be around other children and we decided to make the transition. After researching many of the schools in my area, we decided on Future Stars Academy. We based our decision on the overall feel of the school, the teachers that we interacted with, cost, and the fact that we are able to "drop in" if we would like to. As a new mom, the transition was tough. Dropping my son off for the first time was emotionally hard; however, I was immediately put at ease from the start of his first day. I have been nothing but impressed with the caring and nurturing demeanor in which the teachers and staff have embraced my son and our family. My son has been at Future Stars Academy for 2 years and I intend for him to continue at the school until he goes to kindergarten. He has moved his way from the toddler room, to the early 2's room and now to the "Busy Bee's" room. His teachers along the way have been consistent in the attention, instruction, and care that they provide. If he needs a hug, they provide it; If it is positive re-inforcement or correcting his behavior, they do that as well. As a parent, if I am in need of advice or assistance on how to encourage milestones or resolve behavioral issues, I can openly ask his teachers opinion or advice on effective methods to help my child. Consistent and open communication between myself and the teachers at FSA has created an environment in which my son is able to thrive and be successful. As an example, his current teacher, Ms. Tanya, was fundamental in the potty training of my son! With her ideas and advice, collectively as a "team", we were able to have my son potty trained before he was 2 1/2. YAY!!!!!!! My son is excited about going to school and learning because his teachers have made learning fun. They focus on different topics throughout the year and provide fun and inspiring activities to get the children interested in learning about the topic. (Dinosaurs, Space, Oceans, etc.) As an example, the kids got to do a dinosaur dig complete with Jr. Paleontologist badges with their name and photo on it. It was the cutest thing to hear my son say "look mom, I'm a paleontologist." My son can recite the alphabet, count to 30, count objects, describe colors, and at three (just turned 3); he is able to verbally spell his name, as well as recognize and write his name. As an added bonus, there are extra curricular activities that the kids can participate in - they are an additional cost, but worth it if he enjoys what he is doing. Since turning 2 1/2, my son has been able to participate in soccer, music, and gym. I am thankful for finding such a wonderful school and that there are people that I can trust to teach, encourage, correct, nurture and hug my son when I am not able to. When I explain to others what this preschool is like, I tell them that it's the preschool that you had always wished you could go to as a kid, but with the curriculum a parent would approve of. In other words, the kids have fun, but they are also prepared for Kindergarten when they officially start school. An important fact that was important to me, was that many of the staff have their own kids go here. Imagine how much time, effort, creativity, and care you would put into a school that your own kids go to? Both of my kids have gone since April of this year. My kids have been in the PreK, Busy Bees, and Jr PreK classes and it has been awesome! The teachers are all AMAZING! They are creative, fun, happy, and have the patience of gods. My kids come home every week having learned something that blows our mind! My son is 4 and can write his first and last name, name the months of the year, writes numbers and letters, does math problems, does intricate cutting with scissors, and best of all has made many friends there. My daughter (age 3) comes home and talks about the different planets and all kinds of subjects. We saw a constellation on TV once, and she yelled "Milky Way," which pretty much blew our minds away because she was 2 at the time. My kids come home with all the different projects they do every day. Over the summer, the kids had pony rides at school, petting zoo at school, choo choo train at school, Mickey Mouse stopped by, The Aquarium of the Pacific mobile unit was there, water fun week, trips to the museum,... I can't remember all the fun they had.. I work full time and love the fact that FSA offers elective classes from actual specialized instructors. My son takes Karate from one of the original Power Ranger stuntmen (how cool is that), and he also is in a great gymnastics class with my daughter. They also offer other classes like soccer shots, singing, and dancing. These electives are for additional fees charged by the different outside companies who come and teach them. It saves me time from going to these classes outside of the work week. On the administration side of it, I am very happy with them. I called every single preschool/daycare in the area that were open in the hours I needed and visited several. I go to work early and need care as early as 6:30am. FSA was professional, yet laid back. I was allowed to drop by and visit my kids without having to call in first to make an appointment to see them (imagine that). I could also choose to drop by and check them out through the window if I didn't want to disturb them. I also loved how secure the property was. They are really good at communicating to me about anything that has happened, and will sit and hold my kids when they don't feel well. I've never had any billing issues and all my administrative requests (like for my flex spending account) were fulfilled very quickly, and all my questions were answered immediately, and they were always available for me. Cleanliness. The school is clean. I know how dirty and messy my house gets with two toddlers in one hour, and I can tell that the teachers and staff keep a tight ship. My husband and I pick up and drop off at different times, and I don't know how they contain all the mess, but they do. I always think I'll drop in for a quick surprise visit and it's all mayhem, but it never is :) These are toddlers people BUT nothing is sticky, the bathrooms don't smell like pee, I don't see any rodents running around munching on old organic cheese crackers, there are toys in their designated spots, there isn't paint splattered anywhere, and the food areas are all clean. Am I going to lick the Mr Potato Head sitting in the baby carriage? Hell NO, but that doesn't make this place filthy (see the one star post below). They provide hot meals and snacks in morning and afternoon. I love Organic Wednesday, but it is an extra fee for hot lunches. Tuition is moderately priced. This place is a godsend and I can't even begin to relay the times they have helped me out with having 2 crazy toddlers and a husband who travels. I feel peace of mind when I leave them here :) The people who work here aren't robots who are exactly perfect to match every parent's personality, convenience, or needs, but they do try. They are caring people who equally care for all the kids and that's what matters. *****I wish I could give them 5 stars, but in my ideal situation, there would be a lower student to teacher ratio & better parking. The teachers do a great job at managing the kids, but there are a lot of kids in this school. Parking can be difficult, but it does help me hone my parking skills with my SUV. read more

My 1 year old has been at this school for 6 months now and we love it. My favorite thing when I first talked to them was that they actually teach things to the infants vs. just letting them sit in a swing or somewhere all day. They let them do sensory experiences with foods that are safe for them if they eat it...which they will since everything goes in their mouths! My daughter loves it so much she barely looks at me when I come to get her from school because she's having so much fun. They teach them sign language too and she actually told me "more" the other day - I was so excited! Being able to communicate with a 1 yr old is no easy feat. They have great outdoor, age appropriate play areas for each age group of children and lots of toys and educational items inside as well. They have an awesome summer program where they bring in petting zoos, snow, aquariums, and have field trips. My daughter went to Kid's Concepts and had a ball. She's getting so many more experiences here than she ever would at a home daycare or any other daycare's that I've spoken with. They've also been awesome with her MANY ear infections and taking care of her and giving her meds many times. They also have a "date night" once a month where you can drop off your little one for 6 hours for a nominal fee and go have kid free fun! We've been very happy with FSA. It has offered a balance of a nurturing and fun environment with a concerted curriculum designed for progress. Our daughter has been in three of FSA's classes, and is very well prepared for Kindergarten in August. We have loved the close care she has received from all the teachers there, and have been very impressed with her progress. She is adding, subtracting, and reading words, all before she ever starts K. The projects are fun and educational. They also have members of the community come visit, so our daughter has good feelings about police officers, firemen, and animals. I especially want to thank Ms. Tanya, Ms. Sarah, and Ms. Kristy, all of whom have cared for, loved, and taught our daughter well. I am happy to give FSA my full recommendation. read more

I'm glad that I found this school for my daughter 4 years ago! She has learned in a fun and loving environment her letters, numbers, colors, shapes, etc. She's friendly and always happy to see her friends and teachers. Their additional programs like soccer, dancing, gymnastics, music and karate are awesome too! This school is so awesome! the entire staff is excellent! the kids will have learned so much by the time they graduate Pre-K, they will be ahead of the game when they enter Kinder-garden! (its true!) both of my children currently attend this school ( a 4 year old and a 1year old) and i would have to say that i would recommend this school to just about anyone. that is in need of a good childcare facility. the staff is so great. and they really care about the well being of the children. all of the children. not only the children in their class. they run things with efficiency, and really give the kids a hands on learning experience. i could go on and on about what a great daycare provider i believe that this place is, but if you located locally, and need a good childcare facility. i would just suggest walking in, and taking a look around the school... they are great at answering questions. so ask away! read more

CONT (READ FIRST PART OF REVIEW BELOW FIRST): This event was a significant turning point for our daughter's success at FSA. 2. The handbook states that after a behavioral "incident", a meeting will be immediately scheduled with the director. To get a meeting scheduled, I had to ask for that meeting every single day for over a week, and kept being told that the school was "understaffed" so they couldn't take the teacher out of the classroom. We finally got a meeting with the director and teacher a week and a half after our daughter was sent home. 3. The handbook states that a "behavior chart" and "trial and error" method of behavior modification will be implemented relative to behavioral issues. There was no behavior chart, no behavior modification plan, and no trial and error methods were introduced for our daughter. The teacher started sending us email updates about our daughter's day, they offered her books during naptime sometimes, and, according to the owner, the teachers started to let our daughter "do whatever she wanted to do" in the classroom to avoid a tantrum. 4. The FSA handbook states that after the initial meeting, a follow-up meeting will be scheduled. In the 3 1/2 months following the first meeting, I repeatedly requested a follow up meeting but no meeting was ever scheduled. In early March, when we returned from vacation, we informally met with the director and owner (they were in the office when we dropped our daughter off, so we met with them on the spot, it was not scheduled) bc we had received a call about an unexpected opening at another local school that we were interested in, and we wanted to decide whether to keep our daughter at FSA or transfer her to the new school. The owner and director recommitted to trying to make things work with us and to consider a proposal that we presented to address our daughter's naptime challenges. After the meeting, I asked the director what she would do if she were in our position, and she replied that she would do "whatever she could" to keep her daughter at FSA to avoid the stress of transitioning her. Based on those conversations, we gave up our seat at the other school and had our infant daughter start in the baby room at FSA. Exactly one week later, the owner called us into a follow-up meeting where she told us it wasn't going to "work out" and we needed to find another school. 5. This is the final area where FSA did not adhere to their handbook. Their termination policy allows for termination of services when the school is not able to meet the needs of the child. I assume this is the rationale for termination, but am not sure bc we were only told that keeping her there was like trying to "fit a square peg into a round hole." The policy also states the school, when possible, will provide the family with two forewarnings about the termination AND as much notice as possible, with a target of 30 days. We weren't given any warning about the termination, and in fact just the week prior had received a verbal commitment to try a new plan to help address our daughter's challenges with naptime. Also, while the school didn't say whether we had 30 days to transition, the implication was that we needed to move our daughter as soon as possible. This was shocking after the prior week's conversations and incredibly disruptive considering we'd given up the seat at the other school (which we weren't able to get back) and started our infant at FSA. As a result, we had to find locations for two children unexpectedly in a very short period of time, around our fulltime jobs, and while trying to protect our daughter from understanding that we had been asked to leave the school. There is no way to clearly express how stressful this was, and even more importantly, how stressful and confusing this change is going to be for our daughter who has attended this school for nearly 3 years. In closing, and in all fairness, I think FSA is a fine school for most kids. We have close friends whose kids go there who are perfectly happy, and we have close friends whose kids go there who are looking to move them for various reasons. We personally wanted to keep our daughter there had the choice been ours. There are, however, significant challenges with the owners that had frustrated us over the past year and a half that we overlooked in the interest of maintaining stability for our daughter. The situation with our daughter and the lack of any method or plan to help with her energy, behavior challenges, and naptime was beyond disappointing. I wanted to add to our review so other parents could consider our experience against their child's temperament and make an informed decision about whether FSA is the right school for them. read more

I looked at a total of 6 preschools before choosing this one! I felt completely comfortable when I walked in. It's cozy and clean! They have a nice playground in the back and also different play areas. The staff and teachers are so awesome! My daughter had a hard time transitioning, but the teachers and staff recommended a preschool "boot camp" (two weeks full time), which totally did the trick! They truly care about their kids and really make you feel like part of the family here! My daughter loves preschool now and looks forward to it in the morning! We missed summer, but they had a lot of fun activities! I can't wait for my little one to experience their summer camp!! read more

"My three year old son has been a Future Stars student since he was a toddler. I can't say enough about the school and the teachers. While it's important that my son learns in preschool--the most important thing to me as a parent is to feel that he is loved and taken care of. He is excited to go to school every day. Runs up to his teachers and sometimes does not want to go home.He talks about all the stuff he learns and sings songs to himself at bedtime that he learned at school. I have a 3 year old son who's a first timer when it comes to preschool. He has never been to a daycare as well and I was actually apprehensive about starting him on school. We decided to enroll him on SUMMER preschool program just to see how he'll respond and cope, and we actually want him to have fun. I am not actually concerned about academic because I just want him to have fun this summer so I do not have an idea how their program goes on regular basis.I researched over a dozen of school and actually visited over 5 preschools around Torrance and this is this by far, has the best vibe and energy. 1.The teachers (my son's teachers are Ms. Tanya and Ms. Sharelene)and administrators are very approachable and they give you updates about your child even without asking. 2.They'll accomodate your questions even if they're busy. My son cried for few days and throws up when he's upset but the teachers were patient and he NEVER went home dirty. 3.They tell me how much my child eat,(the food looks good actually, healthy and balanced, as well) if he participates, etc. 4.I observed in my child's group, there were actually 2 teachers per group (of around 12 kids who looks after the children and I was not actually expecting it. The teachers help each other which I think is good. Less stress for teachers. Happy teacher, happy kids. 5. They will not force you to enroll or to put more days a week just for profit. They will suggest what's best for your child especially when you ask. They take into consideration that preschools can really be expensive. The downside is it is a bit more expensive compared to the others but I think it's reasonable and worth it. Visit the school for you to see.=) read more

My son has attended FSA since he was an infant and they have always met my expectations.

I grew up in PV Estates and after many snooty and rude phone calls to other schools in the lomita and Palos Verdes area decided to tour FSA.. It was on my way to and from work .. Open the hours I needed ..No appointment needed.. and when I called was told to Drop by anytime..nothing to lose right? Precisely! That was September 2007 ! Nothing to lose turned into a world gained! My son ( now 5) started at FSA when he was 2 months old! He is now a Pre K student w Miss Kristy, Miss Natalee and Miss Sarah early am when I drop him off.. He loves them! We actually opted to send him one more year to set him ahead! The program at FSA leaves so much open for enrichment including Soccer Shots, Hot Shots Gymnastics, Karate.. And a phenomenal music program ! Over the years our family (Deagan as well as ourselves) has also gained incredible friendships .. And a never ending bday circuit! :) Hats off to FSA parents students and staff! I fell in love with this daycare on my first tour when I was only 4 months pregnant. The director and teachers were warm and friendly, most importantly in the infant room with crying babies the teachers had a calm demeanor, no frazzled nerves/faces. The infant room is large, with plenty of windows/natural light has cribs on one side, baby/toddler table in the middle for meal times and plenty of toys, books to help the babies learn and play as they grow. Fast forward to when Baby D. started at 3.5 months and I felt 1000% reassured that I made the right choice--the teachers communicated any potential issues- constipation, didn't care for this or that puree, please clip fingernails. They even have an invite only instagram page where they post pics of the kids throughout the week--those are always fun to see throughout the day. I work nearby so I'm able to pop in and visit anytime which I did, especially in the early months. Now Baby D is a toddler and getting ready to move onto the next room and I'm still very happy with my choice--it's a great fit for our family! read more

We have been sending our daughter here since she was 15 months and now she is 3 years old and she still loves coming to school every day. The teachers/staff are great, the owners and directors are great. My daughter has learned so much and I am amazed every day what she has learned so early on. Her vocabulary is amazing. She is very articulate. They also bring in classes such as Music, Dance, Soccer and Karate so you don't have to be driving your kids all over the place after school. My husband and I feel very comfortable sending her to school there knowing that she is safe and happy. read more

My daughter enrolled at Future Stars as an eight month old, and now six months later is in the Toddler class. My husband and I called and visited over a dozen places throughout the area, and while we chose Future Stars because it looked clean and the staff seemed really nice and energetic, we were still extremely nervous bringing our little baby to a place we didn't know. I can now say, it was the best choice we could have possibly made. We are extremely high maintenance, knit picky parents, and every single request we made was met with enthusiasm. Our daughter was always coming home clean, happy, and all her items (bottles, bibs, pacifiers, dirty clothes, food jars, blankets) were organized, folded, and never misplaced. We did drop in a number of times in the beginning, and she was always being well cared for. The teachers...I can't say enough about how amazing, loving, professional, and fun they are. Now my daughter is in the Toddler Room. She's 14 months and she's learning so much! She knows sign language, songs, and her vocabulary is exploding! Overall, we are extremely happy with the school, cannot wait to have her go into the preschool program, and recommend Future Stars to anyone and everyone we know! read more
