Being young used to/could be challenging from a mental standpoint; but, believe me, when I share that older age has its own challenges. We all have our goals we want to meet during our lifetimes, and we each encounter our own physical limitations during different times.
The old, and a bit wry, adage comes to my mind: youth is wasted on the young ... George Bernard Shaw. I wish I had taken better care of my body when I was young.
Back to the subject matter: good bunch of therapists work here. My husband has been visiting a manual therapist for his back and hips for a long time, and that need is diminishing, now that he has listened to their sound advice and started yoga exercises. Mine visit was for my shoulder and she gave me some excellent tips.
It seems to me, being blessed with fairly good health, that often what you have to do to heal yourself, is to simply start moving again. I am glad I have the proper exercises to motivate myself now. And did I mention that she included a wonderful massage? Yup!
