G&G was recommended to us by a neighbor. I called and they came out that week to evaluate what we thought was a small leak in our roof into our bathroom ceiling. Long read but worth it if you're wanting an honest review.  Wed 8/13 was our start date for our new roof. Tues 08/12 we had the materials dropped off and a dumpster which was dropped off in front of our garage blocking in our mode of transportation. We were not notified of this prior or at the time of the drop off so we can make arrangements. There was also tire marks from the tow vehicle which broke a section of our driveway. The project was started on the 13th and the workers were using our plants as a clothesline for dirty sweaty clothing. Besides that and some minor trash left in our yard the work was excellent and done fast. On Thur 8/14 I texted the company about our trapped vehicle and asked when they could move the dumpster as it was blocking my wife in and our vehicle we use. I was told it was going to be passed along. Fri 8/15 the roof was "mostly" done except for a garage vent due to the part not showing up. When the project was done for the day the site manager spoke to my wife where he apologized for the dumpster and even said that it was full day 1 and should have been collected already. He mentioned how they had been trying to reach the company to move it since Thur with no luck. I explained we were supposed to be going out of town for my wife's bday and needed the vehicle but was told there was nothing that could be done. No offer from the company for any correction or fixing of the situation. Sat went by with no update or movement of the dumpster. Sun and there was again no update or movement. I then reached out to the company again who told me the dumpster company said they would "try" to get there Sat (which didn't happen). I explained to them some sort of arrangement was going to have to be made so we could get to work etc. I was finally able to get ahold of the dumpster company myself who alleged he was not notified to pick up the dumpster until 3pm Fri 8/15. He told me I could do what I needed to do (as in towing it myself and I could bill G&G). The tow company then came and retrieved the dumpster on Mon 8/18. After all this I took the time to walk the property and found some of my wife's plants were taken (cleanly cut/taken) despite her GIVING them some for free beforehand. As well as material bags/trash near our pool enclosure and the cable cord from removing our dish just freely hanging at head level where they clearly didn't want to use a ladder to cut it from the soffit. We had a tire that was punctured by a left nail. Also was told by the inspector that they covered my dryer vent and they had to forcefully open it as in the state it was done there was a risk of a fire/clog.  Due to all this, I contacted the manager Jamie. Jamie came out himself and tried to right the situation and offered kind words. Jamie then advised he would look into some compensation or reimbursement via taking a small amount off the final bill which was originally 18,710 (500 was paid at time of signing and 18,210 was outstanding). When I got the invoice it was showing 18,310 out standing as they had extra material used. I again contacted Jamie who then adjusted the final invoice to be 18,181 which ended up being just about the same as what WOULD have been due. I informed them I needed certain documents that insurance requested prior to payment (like final inspection, wind mitigation etc) and took multiple follow ups over a couple of weeks. Once I got a response I was told they needed to come back out as the photographs that SHOULD have been in the system was not on their end. They would then be in touch to get me the requested forms and I would give payment. A couple more weeks passed and Once received, I explained due to all the circumstances I did not feel the wrongs were righted and paid my invoice (October 27th) Overall the work looks great and the price is competitive. The initial estimate/estimator (Justin) process was by far the best of the other company's we had come out. But the other circumstances and lack of responsibility or accountability makes me drop what otherwise would have been a great (5 star) review. read more

Roofing was fairly quoted and the rep was thourogh in his evaluation. I paid a down payment in February and finally got my roof done at the end of April after a couple of calls - they told me that they could not get the shingle I ordered - but I told them I would change to a differnt shingle... then suddenly, they had my choice in stock and came out to do my roof. The job was done fairly quickly though there were days when no one came out to work on it. I would have given this company 5 stars even with these small issues - BUT... The roofers back nailed my gutters back on and bent them so that they cannot be re-set to flow properly -can only be "shimmed" which is ugly and my gutters were only 6 month old! AND no one will return my calls now. I would think that , given that we discussed my gutters at the beginning and I stressed that they were new, they would want to make this right. I was assured that they would back the gutters off then re attach them without too much damage. Well.. there IS too much damage and I will have to replace my gutters or live with them shimmed up and ugly. I asked for only 1/2 the cost of replacement but I have emailed and called twice now but have gotten no call back. read more

Recently had our roof replaced by GNG. Compared to other wait times we only had to wait a few months after putting down a deposit for them to start our roof. Overall our experience was good we did have a little bit of miscommunication between our project manager when we ran into an issue with the new roof. However after reaching out to the owner he quickly changed our project manager and it was smooth sailing from then on. We were very pleased to have a new and safe roof before this last storm. read more

I needed an estimate for a repair on my roof. It was scheduled 2 weeks out. The day of the appt they called early to say estimator had a toothache & we rescheduled for 3 days later. NO SHOW & NO CALL. I left message on their answering machine after hours & the next day still no one called. When I called to see what happened, they stumbled around & said he woud call me to re set the appt. I said no way! I guess they want to replace an entire roof, not a repair! What a roof really is is peace of mind, and I don't have that. Unfortunately, for the second year in a row I have lost a lot of 130 MPH shingles in wind that was nowhere near that high. Maybe it was the shingle manufacturer, or maybe the installation. Don't know, don't care. I also had a leak around a vent pipe that damaged my ceiling and took 3 tries to fix. All I know is G&G put on a roof that doesn't hold up and which I can't trust. I'm ripping off a 4 year old roof and starting over with a new company. How sad is that? read more

If it was possible to give 0 stars on this review, I would but I can't. G + G Roofing, inc. had made a $1550 repair on my leaky roof. The first hard rain after the repair and the leak was still there. I contacted them several times to honor there 1 yr so called workmanship warranty and they did not attempt to repair there work. August 26, 2018 By this letter, we are filing a complaint against G&G Roofing. Following is an explanation of the problems we've had with G&G. * After the hurricane in September of 2017, we had extensive damage to our roof. We called G&G Roofing to replace the roof. It took some time to get all the insurance information done and approved. * Starting in March of 2018, G&G was approved to replace the roof. At that time, they told us it would be 9-16 weeks before they could do the work. Every time we called to try and get a date, we got the same story - 9-16 weeks. Near the end of May, when we called and got the same reply, we told them we were going to cancel and go somewhere else. Then they made a date of June 4, 2018, to replace the roof. * On June 4th, they removed the old shingles. By June 6th, they had laid the underlayment, which was waterproof (we paid extra for that). * On Wednesday, June 6th ABC Supply delivered and placed the pallets of shingles on the top of the roof. While doing this, they tore a large rip in the underlayment (about 3X1 foot). They did not inform anyone of this. That night we had a torrential downpour, that lasted several hours. We had water damage in five rooms of our house and in the garage. In one room, the water actually began to fill up the globe light fixture. * We called G&G on Thursday, June 7th. They sent two men over, who took pictures of the damage on the roof. They also surveyed the attic and the water damage throughout the house. They repaired the tear in the underlayment. * On June 8th, they completed installing the roof. * We contacted a local painter who gave us a quote of $2500 to repair the damage inside the house. We called G&G and relayed this information to them. Over the next week, G&G returned the call twice to my husband's cell phone, but he was unable to take the call at that time. He continued to call back, leaving two numbers for them to contact us. * After this, G&G did not return any phone calls. * On July 11th, we sent a certified letter to G&G, suggesting that we deduct the $2500 from their bill of $14,000, so that we would take the responsibility of making the repairs. They never responded to this letter. * We were refinancing our home and our closing was set for August 2nd. The title company told us that G&G had filed a notice, so that they would have to be paid before we could close on the refinance. They also added $500 to the contracted amount. * We talked to a lawyer, and because of the small amount of money involved, he suggested we file in small claims court. * We went through with the refinance, so G&G has been paid (overpaid, in fact), but we are going to pursue the matter in small claims court. We wanted everyone to be aware of the treatment we received from them, so that others can be warned of the business practices of G&G Roofing. I called to have them give me a quote on a roof replacement after Irma. They told me they were 2 months out, which I thought meant 2 months til they could come and do the job. But no, they actually meant it will take 2 months for them to actually send someone to even take a look and provide an estimate!
