Far from a relaxing atmosphere ~ "background" music is played very loudly ~ consequently, every conversation in the salon is in a loud tone of voice ~ loud music and yelling ~ not my "style". A-n-d, I just experienced the (second) worst haircut of my life ~ not only did the stylist do exactly the opposite of what I asked, she didn't even do it with talent or skill.. Moved to the area about a year ago. Had a few hair appts but thought I'd try Gabby's as it had mostly good reviews and was close to home. First time in I was really happy with the results. The stylist was somewhat unsure of herself and had to get help from Gabby. That made me a little nervous but I let it go. I, like another review noted, also found the salon to be exceedingly noisy. The music and stylists were both way too loud. It wasn't a relaxing salon experience at all. I mentioned it to mgmt and they werent overly concerned with my comments. However, I was happy with my appt results so booked again. Fast forward, my third appt was the deal breaker. I was stunned that it took my stylist 2 full hours to cut my short hair! Obviously thst wasn't the case the first 2 appts. That coupled with the blaringly loud atmosphere of the salon was just too much and obvously I've gone elsewhere. Some of the stylists may be talented ( mine clearly wasn't) but the noise of the salon was too much for me. read more

I went there for the first time because I'm new in Flagler Beach. I have super thick, course, and with the beach air frizzy hair. Kat told me about this new Botox treatment. It worked great! Everyone in there is super nice and friendly, including Gabby, the owner. The salon is in the small town of Bunnell, which being a city girl kinda scared me! But I was pleasantly surprised and will be going back soon for color. read more

Well I was going to just leave a Facebook review, but they keep deleting it. That explains why all of their reviews on there are 5 star. It would seem smarter to publicly acknowledge your shortcomings and apologize, rather than just deleting anyone who says something slightly negative. So here we go. Besides the fact that I didn't get the stylist I requested when booking the appointment, and the slight wait time even with an appointment, they did a fantastic haircut the first time and I was excited to go back again. The second visit their stylist didn't show up and no one bothered to call me. They had someone else (who couldn't possibly be a hair stylist) do mine and my grandmother's wash and blow dry. It was horrendous, and I'm not sure if the hairstyle or her personality was worse, but she definitely spent half of her time taking phone calls and texting people. The owner was deeply apologetic and offered a gift certificate. I scheduled another appointment, hoping to have a better experience this time, only to have them call me an hour before my appointment to say they were running too far behind to get my hair done in time. They weren't 20 minutes or so behind. They were almost 90 minutes behind. How do you manage your time so badly that you get that far behind and wait so long to call? While their actual stylists are well trained, they don't seem to have any time management skills to speak of, and as a busy mom I don't have the time to reschedule constantly because they aren't on top of things. So if you have all the time in the world. don't care about stylists not showing up for work, having non trained people doing your hair, don't mind that they delete negative reviews from their Facebook page - well then Gabby and Co is the place for you! If you're in Flagler County and needing to get your hair done, I'd sooner recommend Hair Cuttery over this place. By the way, my initial review on Facebook was MUCH nicer, with higher stars. When you start deleting comments and tricking potential future customers into believing no one has ever had a bad experience, well that makes me mad! I met Gabby years ago. Since then she has opened a wonderful and busy modern hair & nail studio across from Target in the Amaral Plaza. I was traveling to Port Orange, Saint Augustine & Edgewater to my favorites. I'm super picky and Gabby does a fantastic job. She's an artist. The studio is clean bright & modern. All the staff is atleast bilingual & some trilingual (Spanish, Italian, Portuguese & English). Great smelling & top quality products are what she carries. Give her studio a shot you won't be disappointed. read more

Called Thursday 4/29 and was able to get an appt for my sister for a cut and color on Friday 4/30 with Kat. First thing Kat did was chat with us regarding what we were looking for - She came over with samples and came up with a great color. She even managed to squeeze me in for a cut and blow dry.... My sister's color and cut came out great and I love my cut! Will definitely be back! read more

Got my hair done today with the very talented Daneza. Wow! It's like a breath of fresh air here in Florida to get my hair color from someone who knows what they are doing.
