Seriously, the best macarons I have ever had. The employees are super nice and helpful. Small building but it is laid out thoughtfully and all of the goodies are on full display.

Firstly let me say that this place is cute and the staff is always super friendly. So just on that, id recommend this place however the desserts and pastries are AMAZING. I have tried various different things and not once have I been disappointed. I honestly wpuld recommend this place to anyone and everyone. GO...go now and try it. You wont be let down. Seriously try whatever looks and sounds good to you but don't miss out on the eclairs. Every flavor Ive had has been stellar!

Although they are known for their amazing macarons, their other desserts caught my eye. They are a work of art! And the store itself is bright, colorful, and inviting. I had a question about ingredients for one of the desserts (we have a nut allergy at home, so I like to double check) and the employee happily offered to check with the kitchen. She even changed her gloves before boxing up my desserts. Top notch care right there!! I purchased the Poire Belle-Helene, chocolate eclair, and a canelé. Everything was delicious. The eclair was one of the best I've ever had. The canelé was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a deep rum flavor. The pear mousse dessert was delicate and light. If you're doing a dinner date at home, bring one of these beautiful desserts out for the encore.

Found the baked goods to be very good and also fresh. Loved that they didn't have a waxy or artificial taste. Service was quick and area was inviting.

My daughter just brought me a couple of special boxes of macrons from our family's favorite taste of France from the heart of Pittsburgh. It's nestled in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Gaby et Jules Patisseries et Macarons has been delighting locals and visitors alike with exquisite French pastries and confections since its establishment in 2013. The brainchild of husband-and-wife team Frederic and Lise Maucion, Gaby et Jules is named after their children and reflects the family's dedication to quality and tradition. The moment you step inside Gaby et Jules, you're transported to a quaint Parisian patisserie. The warm, inviting atmosphere and delightful aromas create make for a delightful experience for anyone seeking an authentic taste of France. My honey and my daughter assured me of the authenticity since they've both spent time in Paris spanning over the last fifty years, so I'm a believer :-) It's renowned for its wide selection of expertly crafted macarons, with flavors ranging from classics like pistachio and raspberry to more adventurous combinations inspired by local ingredients. Beyond macarons, the bakery also offers an array of delectable pastries, including eclairs (they're sooooo good), tarts, and croissants. For those seeking a heartier treat, they bake in-house artisan bread, and more, including baguettes and brioche. There's also house-made all-natural jam made with fruit, sugar, lemon juice, and apple pectin with a number of assorted flavors available. In addition to its array of sweet treats, they make custom cakes for special occasions, such as birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries. With a commitment to using the finest ingredients and traditional techniques, Gaby et Jules ensures that each creation is a work of art that tastes as delicious as it looks. The Squirrel Hill location has a cozy seating area, perfect for enjoying a cappuccino and a croissant or meeting with friends over a plate of macarons. The café also offers outdoor seating, for you to take in the sights and sounds of this vibrant neighborhood while savoring their treats. Customers can visit the Gaby et Jules in person to purchase their desired treats or pre-order custom cakes for special events. Additionally, the bakery offers various box collections, such as the Chocolate and Caramel Lovers or the French Classic, which can be conveniently ordered online for pickup or delivery. Plus they offer nationwide shipping, from their website, where you can get there Macrons, Canneles, Confiture (jelly), and even stup a Le Clique Macaron Subscription, very cool! Bottom line: Gaby et Jules Patisseries et Macarons is more than just a bakery, it's a destination that celebrates the art of French pastry-making and offers a delightful Pittsburgh experience for those seeking an authentic taste of France. Highly recommend!!! The pastries in this shop must be seen to be believed. They look like works of art. Incroyable! The macarons are sold in boxes of 6, 12, 15 or 24. They are some of the best I have ever tasted. Tip: try the Pittsburgh peanut butter. Staff was lovely and explained that everything is made onsite by a French master pastry chef. They have three locations, but the Squirrel Hill location is so charming.

If Sesame Street occurred in France, Le Monstre de Biscuit would go Merde de Singe for these cookies. I probably walked by this place dozens of times during my travels in and out of Pittsburgh, but never purchased until my most recent trip. I finally decided to splurge and get some of these cookies. My macaron knowledge isn't that great, and I even DVR'd a "How it's Made" episode so I can try and understand WHY these things are so damn pricey. After we already ate the batch, I learned that they are originally Italian which explains why they're so good. The "cookie" parts are made with meringue (egg whites) which are prepped and baked. The precision is key, and so is the filling. I don't plan on trying to make these on my own. That would be a disaster. The woman selling me the cookies explained to me the length of the process the baker follows, and when I realized there was a line forming behind me with the now Florida Man inquiring about the cookies, I turned and apologized and they understood and re-assured me the purchase would be worth my while. I was skeptical, but I doubt they were paid endorsers as the elaborate scheme of buying airline tickets to get into the terminal, wait for someone to show interest, then coax them into buying was probably not a logical plan. There's no getting around it, these cookies are expensive! I totally have thought about it many times and I finally decided to do it. Maybe it was the flights at Vino Volo or the nostalgia at being "home", but I felt like it was the right thing to do on that day, and I was not wrong. I got an assortment of cookies from just plain chocolate and raspberry, to the more exotic pear rosemary and white chocolate basil. All were delicious in their own right, even the "Black and Gold" which has a peanut butter filling and was similar in flavor to a tagalong. These delicate cookies are hard to share and I found it best to eat all at once instead of trying to bite and have the cookie crumble into the bathwater. TMI? sorry 'bout that. It eats like the best flavored cream puff you can fit in your mouth (yes you can, don't act like you can't). Pro Tip - Pick up one of these cookies as if you're picking up a delicate faberge egg or you'll make a huge dent in the cookie. Some people can be so unrefined. Since there was a clear freshness to the cookies, we decided to eat them quickly instead of saving for a latter day (saint). Man up and buy some and I Believe you won't regret that decision. My only regret is that I didn't take the leap sooner.

I've loved this shop since it opened! If you're in the mood for a delicious French treat this is the place to stop. I honestly think these are the best macarons in Pittsburgh! All the interactions I have had with staff have been very positive - always friendly and helpful! For my niece's first birthday I bought 4 dozen macarons to make a Mac tower and it was perfect! Definitely recommend this shop!

An absolutely gorgeous bakery! I stopped in with macarons on my mind and ended up leaving with 6 of those plus an incredible baguette and a croissant. They had so many flavors of macarons available and every one that I got was delicious. The baguette was inexpensive but tasted like it cost millions. The croissant was flaky and wonderful as well. I look forward to going back for more flavors of their wonderful macarons!

Super cool bakery with some fresh macarons! Stopped here after lunch one day to get a box of 6 and they were all delicious! I forgot exactly what flavors we got, but you really can't go wrong with any of them! I think all 6 of them were gone within the day as well!

    Inside pain au chocolat

Definitely high quality items sold here. It's one of the few French bakeries in the area, and it seems truly authentic. If you know French food, you know it'll be more expensive than the other baked goods. But, I still think it is worth it, and the prices aren't outrageous either. I wanted to try a classic French baked good: the pain au chocolat, other wise known as a croissant with chocolate. The pain au chocolate had a nice, flaky outer shell. It was buttery and quite delicious. It think they make great croissants in general. Good amount of high quality chocolate. And, for a few dollars, it's not a bad deal. I only tried this classic, but I'm excited to come back and try out a few other items as well. They have sweeter and more pastry-like items as well as French classics like quiches, baguettes, macarons, and much more. Definitely a solid place I'd recommend.

Bella Christie's bakers and pastry chefs make cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and pastries. They even make custom cakes and event tables for weddings, birthdays, and other special events. Cakes are available in about a dozen flavors (e.g., vanilla, chocolate, banana, and hazelnut) with about a few dozen flavors of fillings (e.g., almond custard, mango mousse, raspberry jam, peach compote, espresso buttercream, and fruit). When I entered this business, I saw two display cases that were full of macarons, cheesecakes, mini cupcakes, cupcakes, cookies, and brownies. An employee immediately and kindly greeted me. As I was selecting my desserts, the employee carefully bagged and boxed them. She accurately rang up my purchase, and she thanked me. Here are my reviews for the desserts: Strawberry milkshake cookie - $2.75 - 4.5 stars - This cookie looked the prettiest in the display and had the most unique-sounding flavor. It was pink and had sprinkles and white chips mixed in. The cookie was a large size, and it was fresh and moist. I liked the strawberry flavor. Strawberry milkshake cupcake - $4.25 - 4.5 stars - Can you tell that I like strawberry milkshakes? :) This cupcake was a good size, and it consisted of moist pink cake that had strawberry pieces mixed in. It was topped with fresh, creamy strawberry and white icing with sprinkles. On top was a paper straw, and I put it in my mouth because I had assumed that it was white chocolate--oops! Lemon blueberry cupcake - $4.25 - 4.5 stars - This cupcake was also a good size. The cake was lemon yellow with a few blueberries mixed in. On top was a blueberry-flavored buttercream icing that was topped with two fresh blueberries and a lemon gummy. I enjoyed these flavors. Turtle cheesecake - $4.50 - No rating - My husband ate this cheesecake. He said, "It was fine." One additional thing that I noticed was that the plastic tray that held the cupcakes was type 6 plastic, which is not recyclable in our community. I wonder if the owners could explore other options for the tray.
