The branch in Eldon Square looks tiny from outside, but once you're inside it extends quite a way back. They used to stock a wide range of sizes including a petite and a tall range, however, I think these ranges have been discontinued in this particular store which is unfortunate. However there are often bargains to be had in their sales, but make sure you get there early if you want to bag your size, as I have gone later in the January sales only to find a small selection of sizes left (usually 6s, 8s and 16s).

To confuse matters, there's also steps and stairs taking you here, there and everywhere! I much prefer Bentalls but I can say, Fenwicks does have a range of good name concession stands (which follow with the price tag), a make-up floor, some cute bits and pieces of stationary and randomly, some food joints which includes a sushi joint that kind of smells up the place. The layout is pretty confusing so I haven't ventured in too many times. There's wifi in here but you have to sign-up and it takes a while to be connected... The Christmas window this past year was pretty cool though (not sure if it was worth the queues or the aggressive shoving!) The building front from Northumberland street is a looker, if nothing else, Fenwicks can offer a visually pleasing building to admire.

Sadly, (and per multiple online consumer reviews), numerous customers have been victim to Jules B's unprofessional, unacceptable, and unlawful merchant actions inclusive of their failure to issue rightful refunds and/or ensure delivery and receipt of purchased merchandise. Moreover, it appears that Jules B continues to demonstrate non-compliance with nationally and E Commerce designated policies and protocols specific to seller actions and consumer rights as well as a lack of "accountability" for shipment related issues and non-receipt of goods. Further, shipment and delivery related issues are the seller / sender's onus (not receiver's) whether in a customs setting, other shipment environment, or postal facility. Therefore, consumers are at risk for a problematic transaction with Jules B due to their disconcerting business practices, non-compliance with nationally designated and E Commerce seller policies, lack of merchant accountability, honesty, and integrity, and violation of consumer rights. Victims of Jules B unscrupulous actions and/or refusal to issue a rightful refund or take ownership for an undelivered shipment can initiate a refund request via their credit card company. USA based customers can also submit a consumer rights violation complaint to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). (REFER TO ATTACHED PHOTO FOR JULES B RESPONSE TO MY COMMENTS) (4-26-23) Response to Jules B comments: Jules B disingenuous reply depicts their company's ongoing failure to take merchant responsibility for customer related issues inclusive of inquiring about significantly delayed delivery of a package allegedly going through a customs process. Furthermore, I was informed by a customs representative that it is the seller / sender's onus (not receiver) to initiate an inquiry into a problematic or delayed customs clearance. Additionally, the customs agent indicated that the package may have incomplete or missing merchant paperwork, a non-legible shipping label that was damaged in transit, and/or was lost in their system. Unfortunately, following my request to investigate this matter, Jules B refused to do so nor ensure the delivery of my order. Hence, Jules B's comment that there's nothing they can do while the package is in customs depicts their ongoing manipulative pattern of avoiding seller responsibility, unethical and unacceptable business practices, unsatisfactory customer service, and violation of consumer rights! Thus, I have escalated this matter to my credit card company and requested a full refund due to Jules B egregious actions and my continuing non-receipt of purchased merchandise. The first time I went to Eldon Square, I thought that this was the anchor tenant because of how sheer the size was from outside. I was proven wrong however by the huge branches of John Lewis, Fenwick and Marks & Sparks later in the centre. The mens department is large and they have the best selection out of any New Look store I've visited. Most city centre stores are messy, claustrophobic and dark but this new shop is bright, fabulous and modern. It is on 3 floors and there is easy access between them with a staircase, escalators and even a lift providing access to the upper floors. (Unlike the old store) The accessories bit is great as well and I always end up making some last minute purchases when I'm queuing! Not a great layout. I read an article that shops put the essentials at the back/on a high floor so that you go through the whole shop. Well it certainly works alright!

This store is located on Northumberland Street in a fairly decent location in the city centre of Newcastle Upon Tyne. The store is over four floors, with Women's on the Ground Floor, Mens in the "Basement" and a Costa Coffee store with the Kids range and Customer Services on the upper/second floor. The staff around the store seemed average, perhaps less helpful than other branches, however. A decent store in a decent location - hence the reason I'm struggling to rate this place, yet sadly due to some slight issues with product range, slight issues with service not being as good as other Primark branches and issues with the overall feel of the store in parts, the lifts also were an issue for me, I feel this store only deserves a medium to high two-star rating at best.

It opened in 2012 to replace the old BHS and it has proven popular with Newcastle because it's always jam packed. The basement has the menswear department which is pretty large. I can always find something I like on this floor. The ground and first floors are both taken up by the womenswear but the second floor has the amazing Primark home section, accessories and a Costa, which you can head to if you want to escape the crowds of the main store. Even though it does get VERY packed, the store is very spacious, so it doesn't really feel busy. The escalator arrangement is complete and utter pants. You have to go to the other side of the store to get to the next one in the set, what rubbish! Also the elevators (even though there is lots of them) feel like they are always flooded with people. It has a good layout, it is pretty generous in size, mens department is big and it has a coffee shop, so what is not to like about Primark Newcastle?
