Lavantalı Macaron. My favourite!

Outdoor seating area is frustrating because customers smoke everywhere even though it is prime real estate. On another note, their outdoor tables and indoor plumbing and electric are some of the most original design choices I've seen in Ankara. Their staff are extremely kind, laid back and attentive. It feels great to see their familiar faces and contribute to this local business. Bring a friend for eating their deserts because they are a bit large for one person. Plus it will be a lot more fun to have folks around for when you ogle the socializing activity around Köroğlu. This part of Gazi Osman Paşa usually has a mix between secular elite, college students and yuppies.

I stumbled into this restaurant after a grueling flight to Ankara. Hungry and tired I expected a quick sub-par meal. What I got was an enchanting, warm experience with absolutely delicious food. I wish this oasis was in Amsterdam - I'd be here regularly. I can't wait to go back and watch the time slip away while I eat yummy food and take in the environment.

Located in front of the restaurant, the garden is indeed large and like a sanctuary with its canopied tables and cozy seats. Lots of plants / trees and a fish-inhabited fountain make it charming. The street slopes upward so walls afford guests some privacy. I can't recall the food we actually ate because my friend and I were so disappointed that we were denied our first and second preferences. The waitstaff didn't even offer any concessions to compensate for the big let-down. :( not cool! Good thing my companion is a higher priority than food, drink or ambiance in my memory book!

The food offerings are kind of international eclectic, rather than Turkish. That is, it is mostly pasta, salads, sandwiches, and pizzas. The dishes we ordered were very good and portions were ample! My fettuccine with chicken & spinach was perfectly done. The staff was very friendly and English was no problem. Don't miss the mounds of Turkish Delight as you leave. Better than an after dinner mint!
