This place was an amazing find. They are local, family owned, and really take pride in what they do. I came in looking for custom area rugs for my new house and Edina spent countless hours with me pulling rug possibilities to match all the samples I had with me. The special attention I received was refreshing. I am an extremely picky and detail-oriented person, which some business owners find off-putting, but Edina wanted to make sure I was completely satisfied and handled my craziness with complete professionalism. Once we chose the area rug samples, I picked binding (which they do themselves on prem) and was told the rugs would be ready in two weeks. In about a week, Edina called to alert me that the binding I picked out was probably not what I wanted. I was very appreciative that she called me and didn't simply bind the rugs with something that didn't look good. I subsequently stopped by and she showed me the binding they recommended, which was definitely the correct choice. I was also able to get a sneak peak at my rugs - which were gorgeous, and my finished products were ready in the time frame promised. Vinny delivered the rugs personally at my convenience (8:30 am!) and they came out beautifully. Edina reached out to me later in the afternoon to check that I was satisfied with my order (which I absolutely was). I have since gone back and ordered custom area rugs for my office, which are an odd shape. We drew up a diagram with measurements and Galaxy had no issue cutting the rug to the size and shape I needed. They even let me take samples to my home to ensure everything would match. I will be picking these rugs up next week. All in all, a very customer service driven experience. The attention to detail and warm welcome I received was unbelievable. I can't imagine anyone having a terrible experience with Galaxy. If there had been an issue, as things do happen occasionally, I have no doubt Galaxy would have rectified it. This place is the real deal. I will forever recommend them to everyone I know. I dealt with Vinny and Edina they were very professional, always got back to me in a timely manner, and they did not force me into anything. I had picked out all special order items which took about a week and a half to get in and it was installed two days later. I bought hardwood, tile, and carpet from them. They had two different specialized groups come out for the hardwood and for the carpet. I needed 3,000 square feet of carpet and hardwood installed ASAP and they did it all in 2 days! The installers were wonderful, so polite and cleaned up after they were done. They don't install tile so the image of my fireplace is of the tile I picked out. We had a wonderful experience with the staff at the Milford Location. They were very helpful when selecting the floor for our new room. They indicated that they would order and hold our product until we were ready for installation. Their communication was wonderful, first notifying us that our product had arrived and immediately returned our call once we were ready for our installation. They were flexible when we needed to bump up our install date by two weeks and the staff of four arrived exactly when they said they would and were done with the install within an hour. We could not be happier with our purchase and the staff that installed the flooring. By the way, they now advise you when you are going to use glue. Used Galaxy flooring and received a great full service price for our hardwood floors. The quality and color were excellent. The installation took one visit (pre-finished floors). The floors looked great. Within the first couple days my wife and I noticed a few issues that we felt we wanted corrected. We contacted Vinny and made him aware. Within a week of our phone conversation he had people back at the house who resolved every issue we had and left us feeling very satisfied with the service. Our floors look great and truly a change to our home. And just to note during that week Vinny kept in contact with us constantly through phone calls and emails. I'm a teacher at a public school (2nd grade) and like most school budgets are tight. I was shopping for a rug for my home, and I was talking to a woman that works there and she mentioned to me that their store loves to help schools out. She asked me if I wanted free little square rugs for my classroom. She asked me how many students I have in my class and helped me carry them to my car. Just like that, I couldn't believe it. And she told me to tell other the other teachers. My kids love the rugs, they like to sit on them and read. We just had our whole upstairs carpeted with Galaxy. Everyone involved from purchase to installation were wonderful to deal with. I was given a window of time for installers to arrive. They came at the earliest part of that window. They worked 6 hours straight through. No lunch or personal breaks. They worked very methodically and left the area clean. I had received a bid from another vendor prior to checking with Galaxy. That bid was $2,300 higher for the same exact product. (Same manufacturer, style and color) I would recommend checking with Galaxy before you make your final decision on your carpet purchase. read more

I've used this company for many years now in Newington for my basement and stairs, and now they are open in Milford. It was time to replace my second floor flooring and I love that they have in-stock carpet rolls big enough to do all my rooms in the same color and they always had the best price. I had it installed the next day. My floors look beautiful, and their Installers were on time, they cleaned up even vacuumed after themselves, moved all the furniture back where it was.
