I wrote immediately and informed Christina of the tragedy and said we would not be coming to France due to the horrific event. Christina wrote back "I'm sorry" and a few other words. I am aware she has a no refund policy but I wrote a few weeks later and asked for some empathy and would she consider a refund in view of the extenuating circumstances? Christina replied "I will not refund you as per my policy". Can you imagine a human being, let alone a small business person being so callous? I booked and paid deposits (or the full amount) to 14 separate events for our trip. EVERY single business gave us a full refund INCLUDING the airlines. The airlines never give you a refund, however due to the horrific event of the loss of our son, every business or person we had contracted with has been beyond wonderful except for Burgundy Wine School. It is hard to believe that anyone, I don't care who you are, could be this selfish of a human being? Christina did offer for us to come at some later date or give our purchase away. Really? Would I be willing to spend a day with person who cares so little about a fellow human being? It makes me wonder how she would treat one while on tour with this attitude? I have no opinion of Christina's wine knowledge one was or the other.

Very small safe. Small tv. Gorgeous bathroom with a makeup mirror. About a 10 minute walk from anything, but an easy walk. The staff was very nice and helpful. Although the breakfast is exceedingly small and service is very slow. FYI, the photos that others posted looked NOTHING like the room we had. So perhaps each room is VERY different.

The rack of lamb was overcooked and terrible Veal was ok, sauce was pedestrian The peas were tasteless Beef burgone was just awful. Hammy sauce was from a can. The appetizers The salad was bright and fresh the dressing was well done The poached eggs in pinot sauce not OK. The sauce was poor. The poached eggs in white wine aligote sauce was splendid. The rabbit terrine was rustic and nice. Served with beautiful mustard. Service was sad. The staff clearly not trained and they were bored - and not knowledgeable about food or wine. The wine list was broad and quite comprehensive. Sadly the staff did a quite bad at pouring Service was a disaster!! Sloppy service Decor is tired Old world Requested coffee that never arrived

I would say this tour is best for those with some wine knowledge as they delve deep into the history and geography of the region. The focus is on education rather than guzzling a lot of wine. We visited a private cellar that represented many producers and had an introduction to what the region makes. After that, you'll see beautiful countryside, as well as the most expensive vineyard in the world (€15K/bottle!!). Then a stop in Beaune for lunch (on your own) and on to a woman owned winery to delve deep into the difference terroir makes in wine. Our guide Paul was incredibly knowledgeable about the region and wine in general. I would probably have wished for another winery stop versus lots of driving but ultimately I learned a ton and really enjoyed it!

There is some cheese provided at the shop to pair with your tastings. Many of us bought a couple bottles. Some of these wines only sold locally not exported. They will ship your purchases for you. I recommend bringing water, take photos of the wines tasted and documents you're given as notes. I would recommend this highly.
