Part of the Casa de las Artes complex, this gallery features artists from the surrounding area,…read moregiving them a place where they can show and sell their work. Not small (I think it was two nice-sized rooms), there were works by about eight or nine artists at the time I went, and a few paintings had a 'sold' label over their placards. We even got to meet one of the artists that day, who happened to be there to make sure his name had been corrected on the placards and because he had sold a painting ('Los Vigilantes' in the picture), and that was fun--but we didn't buy any of his paintings. Located inside the complex, you have to enter the Casa de las Artes to get to the gallery, and its interesting and fun so it's well worth it. I actually can't wait to see what it's like the next time I visit, I'm hoping it's an ever-changing landscape--maybe I'll even buy something. A nice gallery featuring local artists? what's not to love about that?
