I love my steak rare so I'm not going to lie I was in meat heaven, fillet mingon, top sirloin, bottom sirloin, rib eye, ribs, cheese wrapped in steak it was all pink and juicy oozing that little bit of blood. This was accompanied by a variety of local sausages, chicken, fish of the day and grilled cheese, it was all happening. The meat wave kept coming warm and plentiful from the kitchen. For those looking for a side other than meat fear not. Upon sitting down you are given a choice of salad to have many with cheese and then during the meal they bring around polenta chips, chips, onion rings, bread and ceased salad. Come hungry. It's worthwhile as you don't want to be too full to enjoy your meat or pass up a cut because you can't fit it in. If you can fit it in deserts are pretty tasty too. Cudos to the wait staff for their very pleasant and friendly and attentive service. They are always ready to helpful and smiling despite the hectic atmosphere. The servers were so nice and gave me some light options since I had to make it to a dinner later that afternoon. We decided on the chicken salad. I was impressed beyond my expectations. The size of the salad was perfect! Enough for a meal but light enough to eat again later. Everything was so fresh and I loved the flavor of the shredded chicken and Dijon. Everything came out quickly and I had plenty of time to make my next engagement. I how my next visit allows me to come back and try some more of their options. Located in a house on a tree-laden street in Porto Alegre, this place has been winning accolades and positive reviews for over 3 years and they have maintained that impeccable standard set by them in burger-land. The place isn't big and most of the tables are for seating 2 so if you go in a big group (over 4), you might have to wait a bit but trust me, the wait is worth it. They have a covered wooden patio which is better for groups. They have a really good variety of burgers - mostly beef based, one lamb and one/two veggie options - along with one decent beer list ranging from local craft beer to great Belgian and German imports. Service is reasonably quick and efficient. I ordered the lamb with mint/yogurt blend and a German lager - Ughinis Dortmunder - and boy, from the moment the burger came onto the table till I finished gobbling it, there was absolute silence. All burgers are served with a side of fried sweet potatoes and by the time I was done there was only paper left. Le Grand Burger should be on every burger lovers' list - almost all burgers are between R$ 30 - R$ 35 (a bit on the pricier side but worth it) and the collection of beer definitely adds to the charm.
