As a recently retired service member/current military spouse on my "loss count" military move to San Angelo the First order of business was to find a new Church Home. I was graciously invited to attend the Lakeview Bible Church (please feel free to see the Yelp Review), attended the service, and then obediently listened to my Spirit-man which said to "keep looking". After leaving Lakeview, I took my daughters to Freddy's for lunch and prayerfully considered other services that would meet our entire family's needs. Within moments, a couple walked into Freddy's and the husband was wearing a polo shirt with "GMBC" embroidered on it. I had heard of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church and assumed they were members. It turns out it was the Pastor and the First Lady! I explained we were a military family new in town and the Pastor stated he was retired Air Force also! The next Sunday my entire family visited GMBC and we truly enjoyed the Service. I was raised Baptist in a small Church in Charleston, South Carolina and I felt right at home. We were warmly welcomed and have attended service twice now. While the Church is much smaller than our previous one in Virginia, we are blessed that the Lord provided us a new place to worship and serve him while we are here.
