It was pretty quiet for a Saturday night when I visited, but the music was thrashing nonetheless. The seating arrangement is a bit odd (erm was that not meant to be the dancefloor), but it looks like this could be a very fun place once it starts to pull in the punters. With free entry and a 2am licence its a no brainer if you need more hard liquor after midnight.

The courtyard outside is a better bet when the weather's good enough and occasionally an ad hoc bar is erected along with a bbq but generally you have to put up with the crowded indoors to to get served. There's a gigantic tv screen outside too but it's not got particularly good anti-glare protection so if you plan to watch any sports here then you need to get along early, claim a spot indoors & put up with the throng.

The music generally varies from cheesy eighties sounds to the latest chart toppers, so there is something for everyone. On the downside, the food is nothing to rave about and you are likely to catch something in the disgusting toilets (you'll be lucky to find a tap working or even a loo with a seat!). On a whole, it is worth a visit, but it is best not to have too many expectations.

I was heading here to see the amazing Jeff Jeffrey playing - always a good night out anywhere he plays, keep an eye out for him - but was also keen to see what the place was like inside. And it's perfectly acceptable pub fare - done up in traditional Scottish style, with plenty of shelves and drink resting surfaces, a lot of framed old pictures and what not - and you feel at home. It is small, and we were a group of about 10-15 or so, so we kinda took over a lot of the space, so that could be an issue. The local punters were nice and friendly, and the bar staff were great, tolerating our huge and often random round orders! It's nice to have staff that you can have a laugh and joke with too, always a plus. To sum up, if you're in the area, then I heartily recommend popping in. Going by the signs, they offer food during the day, your typical pub menu. Worth a go!
