Do not go to this tire store. They will rip you off. I was told my Michelintire was no and had to be replaced. It still lots of left, it did have a puncture. Turns out the tire was fixable. I only found out after having them put on a new tire. When I asked to keep the old tire, they seemed unwilling to give it to me after about 10 minutes of haggling they did give it to me when I took the old tire to another repair shop. The new tire shop said no problem we can fix that. The tire was patched has been on my car for a week now no problems. they ripped me off. I have no doubt they will rip you off too. read more

3.5 Pre-lockdown experience. As with most things auto, it all depends on who ya get. This review began as a strong 5. I'd noticed a bubble on my tire. Having seen my share of disaster videos, I knew I was playing chicken with a nasty blowout. I stopped by the tire place closest to my home but they didn't have my size in stock. I could either order the tire, park my car and ride share until it was in or I could travel a couple of neighborhoods east and see what's what. I chose the latter. I arrived on a Thursday in mid-fall and the place was buzzing. I chalked that up to Nashville drivers and 10+ years of construction headaches. The owner asked me what I needed. I showed him the bubble and asked if he had my size. Can I tell you something: this man *looked* at my tire and knew the exact size without examination. Maybe that's par for the course for a professional. I was impressed. He asked if I wanted a new or used tire. He gave me quotes for both and I went for 'new.' I watched him pop the tire off, prepare the new one, put the new one one, gauge the air, and shine it up. 5 stars. Fantastic. A week or so later, I befell a roof nail in another tire. Thanks, Nashville. I returned to the shop. The owner wasn't there but the crowd was. This time, a younger guy waited on me. I told him I had a leak. He surveyed the tire, told me I needed a plug, did the work in no time, took cash, and I was on my way. Awesome... until my tired kept leaking... a lot... like, worse than before. Highly dissatisfied and stressed that I could have starred in an aforementioned disaster video, I returned to the tire store. No owner in sight. Crowd was there. The younger man was there. I was not going back to him so I spoke to another gentleman. I let him know that I had been in for a plug and that the plug was no good. I shared that I was now hypersensitive about the integrity of my tire and having a blowout. He listened and patched the tire. He sprayed it, found the leak, took it off, pulled out the plug, performed the patch, tested it, put it back on my car, reassured me the job was well done and that I could safely travel on it, and charged me a discounted rate. It took me a while to feel comfortable driving on it but having been in and out of town on substantial road trips, I feel safe in my vehicle. Again. I'm rounding up but advising to go with experience when choosing a tire guy. You want to opt for Gen X/Boomer. Trust. The caveat definitely emptors. read more

I probably didn't even need a replacement tire-- I went in for a plug, but since I used fix-a-flat, they immediately said I needed a new tire. Get a new tire, the very next day, it's completely flat. Plus, it's mounted backwards. It very clearly says "mount this side in" on the OUTSIDE of the tire. So I take it back today. I show the guy it's mounted backwards, and with a straight face, dude goes, "oh no, you mount it like that for summertime". Come on, man. I told him, no, it's backwards, and he gives me this grin like he's trying to pull something on me. That's shady. So they put the tire on right, I ask them to check the valve stem. It turns out the valve stem was leaky all along. It was a TPMS sensor, so they can't replace it. They charged me $10 to put on a regular one, and I have to go to a big-name shop or a dealer to get an actual TPMS stem installed. So I don't recommend them. My tire was probably fine. They didn't even check if my original tire was good enough, or that the valve was bad. So now I've spent $65, and I've still got to go somewhere else to get my tire fixed. read more

Got a screw in one of my tires and so I decided to try this place out. I stopped in on a Sunday. I got out of my car and before I could finish pointing out which tire it was; Billy jumped to work and started patching the tire. In less than five to ten minutes the tire was patched. The fee was a reasonable ten dollars, and for only having been there ten minutes this was amazing. I left a nice tip! I will be back again. My wife had a nail in her tire. We went to the Firestone on Gallatin. They kept her car for 3 hours before calling to say it could not be patched, she needs a new tire, and the cheapest will be over $200. Thankfully we decided to get a second opinion. Gallatin Tire immediately looked at the tire, pulled the "nail" out (turned out to be a small piece of metal), and said the tire was fine and didn't need to be patched or replaced. So a while back I visited a tire place on main st and was impressed by them. This time around I called before going in and asked how much a tire plug would be; I was told $15 and it should take about 25 minutes, which isn't bad at all! So, after reading the great reviews of this place, I was psyched to try them out. We pulled up and told them we wanted 4 used tires for our 2003 Ford Escape. The guy immediately found the tires we needed and quoted us $230 for all four, which was amazing. The tires looked great (or at least way better than the totally bald ones we had been riding on). We said yes and they immediately jacked our car up and changed out the tires. Took about 20 minutes. So, all that was awesome. The problem comes in when we drove it home. Noticed a wiggly feeling and a squeak as we drove. My wife took the car to our regular mechanic today to get it checked out. They said that one of the wheels was so loose that they were surprised it didn't fall off. So, if you want cheap used tires, go for it, just don't let them put them on, or if you do, get someone else to double check them afterwards. read more
