Ordered an item in time for Christmas 2014. Received dispatch note (but no tracking) on 22nd December. Item never arrived.
Called in in first week of January to request refund, was told by Daniel this would happen. Still awaiting refund (13th January) having chased on 9th January by email and then again today when I was told "it takes 2-3 days for us to process a refund [why?!] and then a further 3 days for the bank to process" and "we don't handle payments". Which seems remarkably slow and convoluted for an eCommerce retailer.
Additionally, not a single one of my emails sent to Daniel (the owner) from December to the second week of January chasing this up was ever responded-to. The manner of the staff in-store and on the phone is has been universally surly and and unwelcoming. No apology for the delays, lost delivery or the unanswered emails was ever forthcoming.
I am astounded that businesses like this continue to trade in spite of such poor service. This is not the first time i've encountered the poor experience of Galleon and would strongly suggest using other stove retailers which are fortunately expanding across London as the popularity of solid fuel increases.
Each part of this review is factual and I stand by this review of my experience completely. Even if a refund is eventually issued it will not mollify me sufficiently to recommend this company. read more
