This is the best place to get beautiful, authentic Delft porcelain in Amsterdam! I walked by on my way to the Anne Frank House and knew I had to come back to get some souvenirs.
This store is not a tourist trap. Most of the pieces here are authentic Delftware. (Check the back if you're not sure!) They have every kind of porcelain you could want: tiles, dishes, statuettes, tulip vases, etc.
The owner was probably about 80 years old and was following me around the entire time I was shopping to make sure I didn't break/steal anything, which was pretty entertaining. He was nice enough to wrap up my purchases for me, so I guess he didn't have any hard feelings :)
4 stars instead of 5 because the prices are pretty high. But ultimately, you have to pay for craftsmanship, and most things here are hand-painted. Everyone back home loved their gifts from this store! read more
