The selection of fine art here is unbelievable. Van Gogh, Picasso, Rembrandt and more. We saw so many beautiful masterpieces from 14th to 20th centuries. Degas bronze sculptures and paintings. You will find it here. The sculpture garden is so serene. There is a pond with flowers surrounded with so many trees and beautiful sculptures. I can stay here all day. The exterior space if tiered parking lot, shady with trees, and a simple building from the outside. Then came The Thinker (1880) by Auguste Rodin to the left of the entrance path. You had me at this wonder statue that also adorns the courtyard entrance to The Legion of Honor in San Francisco. There is a large collection of Rodin in a dedicated area. That is my most favorite museum. This was a nice association to enjoy. This interior wings of this two story gem are easy to navigate and a nice size to display the collections. Inside seating is in some areas so one can take a rest and spend more time with some pieces. We didn't have time to visit the cafe, but it has outdoor seating in a beautiful interior courtyard which my friend says is so relaxing. If I lived here, I would become a member. I will visit here again when I am back.

My work wasnt good but other had the most beautiful paintings. I dont know how they made such small lines when mines came out as blobs. Cyanotype Workshop is also really fun. The studio is located in the Pasadena Playhouse District, next to the Playhouse in a sizeable gallery. The black and white images peer out through the studio windows and offer passersby a glimpse into Girdner's extraordinary past. Walk inside for a closer look and you are immediately greeted by some of the most captivating images, and your gallery host, Cheyenne. Cheyenne is well-versed on the history of the gallery and provided me with additional information on future exhibits and their monthly featured artists. She is very personable, soft-spoken, and talks with a smile; very welcoming and friendly. Every time I'm in the area I will admire new photographs from the window display or take a little stroll through the gallery. Eventually, one of these days the print of two men and charcuterie will make its way home with me. Fun Fact: Girdner believed in using photography as a form of communication, and that the younger generation--through their imagination--is best at interpretation.
