I went to this store yesterday to get some red wine for a recipe and a very nice woman helped me. However, as I was making my final decision, the owner began yelling loudly, abusively, and relentlessly at this same kind woman because she had made a mistake. It went on for uncomfortable minutes and I just started shouting him down to stop yelling at her. He was such a jerk. Then he started yelling at me that he would do whatever he wanted in his store and to see what happened if I kept telling him what to do in his own store. I am happy to buy my liquor from any of his 25 local competitors, and hope he loses more customers every time someone reads this review and every time he opens his mouth to berate his employees like an unprofessional bully. read more

The store is convenient if your in the shopping plaza. The downside is their prices are high and the selection is limit. I will be boycotting since they sell Trump wine in the front of the store - made in Charlottesville They can keep it! I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more

This is my go-to liquor store in town. They've got the best variety, and the nicest staff. You're always greeted with a genuine smile and earnest conversation. Jared's always excited to help you find what you're looking for, and make recommendations when you're not sure what you're exactly in the mood for. With so many wine shops and some fancy 'shoppes' to choose from..Gallo's is my first choice always to pick up booze. Why you ask?? Its the people man..its always the peeps..who make and break a business, and Gallo's has a good one..Dave. Yup, keeps things interesting, helpful in making choices, and sings at the drop of a bottle. Check the expectation dates when you buy beer. When I called them out on it they told me it's not expired, on two months ago!! Won't go there agin!! Zero star on my book!!! read more

Jared works hard. He appreciates why certain things sell. They have some great deals but every store has one thing Cheaper. That's how it is. Even the younger staff are pretty Educated. If you want a bottle, it's rare they don't get it without a phone call letting you know if they can. Saying show up tomorrow-sometimes. . Best customer service I've had when I used to buy Bourbon and scotch. I don't drink now but I really it's a legit family owned store. Support local biz! read more
