I would never go to Galpin RV in Cottonwood again They cannot be trusted. They had our rig for 10 months for a minor repair item. We were told conflicting stories about where our vehicle was because it was not in the lot when we came to inspect their work progress. They charged for items never worked on. I went in this morning to purchase some edging for the stair edge. I took out the carpet and put in linoleum and needed a finish for the edge. The man in the parts department first asked for a picture (?) and then the other man told me, after searching online for a few minutes, that I can just order something online myself. I've been going to Galpin from the time I moved to Camp Verde for the best price in propane. I've always had the best customer service. Everyone is always so polite and friendly. I wish I'd had opportunity for them to help me with the issues I've had with my trailer. I've been able to speak with the manager and sales to assist me with my troubles. New service staff doing GREAT, fixing an issue I've had for 4 years! I live in Phoenix but purchased my TT at Galpin in 2019 because I like the more personal interaction you get in Cottonwood vs the Phoenix area dealers. With that said, over the years I've had some service visits where I felt the staff did not listen to me or correct some issues. To wit, I've had one persistent plumbing issue with my TT that has been driving me nuts since day 1. The water pump sometimes never turns off, makes very little noise (so I can't tell its running) then drains my RV batteries dead. Whenever this happened all the faucets sputtered (indicating air in the line). The issue was hard to duplicate and none of the repairs attempted (pump replaced twice and various tee re-terminations) had any effect on the issue. I decided to give it another try in May 2024 with the Galpin service team. I was delighted to meet Joe Thornborrow who informed me the service team is pretty much all new with lots of experience and he was confident it would get fixed this time. Joe introduced me to my technician Nathan. He listened attentively and allowed me to duplicate the issue. He then went several steps beyond that by using the antifreeze inlet to bypass my normal plumbing. Low and behold the problem went away. So now we knew there was an issue but not what was causing it. He explained it would be an issue at the fresh water tank termination or the fresh water side of the pump. He undid the sealed bottom to get to the tank and saw no issues there. He inspected the tees on the pump and they looked good. I suggested he take a look at the shower miser (this returns water to the fresh supply line while waiting for the water to get hot). He removed the shower miser and capped the return hose and the problem went away. They ordered a new shower miser and I used the TT for 2 weeks without it and had no issues. After the new shower miser arrived, they reinstalled it and everything is working for the first time in 4 YEARS! Needless to say, I'm very impressed with the new service team at Galpin. They believed my description of the issue and identified the problem that day (after years of no joy). They were also happy to let me camp for a couple days to be sure it was fixed before closing out the invoice. Thanks very much to everyone on the service team. I traveled from California to Sedona in my old truck with a cab over camper. On the way the truck was wandering all over the road. On a recommendation from another repair shop in Sedona I took it to Galpin RV in Cottonwood. Most shops won't take a truck in for repair if it has a camper attached - Galpin RV certainly will. These folks were great - took care of my problem by replacing the steering gear box. Very helpful, great communication, they really care about their customers in the service department. They are on the high side with their hourly rate but the great service and overall experience made me feel like I got a great deal!! This is the worst place to take your Ford car they don't want to deal with you unless you have a 5K $ plus problem. I made an appointment and waited 5 hours for a simple inspection and a new key ($400!). I have owned 12 fords all my life and had excellent experience with the vehicle's and the dealers until Galpin ruined this. Save your time and money and take your vehicle somewhere else. Shortly after it was installed, we woke up in the middle of the night with rain pouring in from an unsealed section. This is an RV service company and we expected a professional install. The people working the desk in the service department are super nice. Took our roadtreck in because the generator would not turn over. I thought it may be a battery issue and told them so. After leaving it there over two weeks they diagnosed it as the starter. It was estimated to be over $700.00 to fix due to the location of the generator. We declined. When we got it home the low battery indicator started beeping. After trying to charge the battery we had to replace the battery. The generator started right up. read more

i had an appointment with steve from service, the tanny in my rialta started acting up in southern utah....i got in late for my appointment, too late to have i work done, fine i understand. steve told me to come in the next morning they would do the front shocks, i slept at thier gate the night before so i would not miss this appointment again. steve said no tech is here today we are two techs short saying because i got there late the day before. fine on me. when he said we can do the fronts, great ok by me. then he tells me that galpin ordered the wrong shocks for my wagon he gives me a estimate for the new work on four shocks, original plan. they ordered the wrong parts shocks it didn't matter is i got there on time.... now i have to wait another week. point is i was late to shock appointment, said we can give that tomorrow, tomorrow comes and they ordered the wrong shocks.... didn't matter it's i was late or on time.... this is a very professional shop this is what happened to me... read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. We had a great experience with their salesperson. We chose a trailer, agreed on a price, filled out all of the paperwork, and were supposed to return the next day to finish up with finance. The next day we were notified by email at 4pm that they would not honor the price we had already agreed on, and that they had someone else coming to look at it the next day, so if we still wanted it, we needed to call back and renegotiate. We wanted to spend our money local, but we will never shop at an establishment that treats their customers this way, and I suggest you don't either. read more

We were so relieved and pleased with how hard the service staff worked, especially Jonathan A., in getting the problem resolved with the water heater through our warranty and spending so much time trying to get the part needed. Our experiences with the Staff of Galpin have been 101% positive in every way. About a year ago I started doing all my oil services at Galpin Ford in Cottonwood. I scheduled one last week but when I got there today I was informed they would not be able to get to to until tomorrow. No notice was given whatsoever so that I could save the 20 min trip to their facility or find an alternative provider. The service department blamed their sales department for taking their service staff to prep an RV they sold and there was nothing they could do. Apparently, that includes notifying their customers that had reserved the same time slot and planned their day around that schedule. I realize an oil change customer does not compare to an RV purchase customer but think this is exceptionally inconsiderate and unprofessional, and it entirely screwed up my schedule. I can now confirm I no longer be an oil service customer and will never be a Galpin Ford vehicle purchase customer. read more

So far it has been a very disappointing experience with the service department. Was told when i dropped off my Toy Hauler that they would diagnose the issue with the generator and fueling station right away and get back to me. Never got a call, I had to constantly call and leave messages. Problem was finally diagnosed 5 days later (which we had already told them what the issue was). They said to get the parts from Onan would take another 3-5 days but that they would figure out what the fueling station issue was that day. Had to call back again and finally got an answer on that. Was told they would then have it to us by Thursday. It's now Friday, almost 2 weeks later and it's still not done and no calls. When I spoke to Bob the 1st time after leaving messages he was very rude and told me that I could just go pick the trailer up rather than them fixing it. I wanted to support our local businesses but this definitely won't be the one I use EVER again. Also was in the market for a new trailer, didn't even consider using them after this experience. read more
