I've been to Galsterer Endodontics twice and both times received excellent care. The staff was considerate and kind and the doctor was gentle despite having to do rather painful procedures. I went to my regular dentist after my root canal and the dentist confirmed that the work done was excellent. When I told him who did it he said, "Well, no wonder it's good work!" - [ ] I usually stay away from negative reviews, especially since Dr Galesterer had treated me in the past with success. However, this time it involved my kiddo, and I'm heartbroken for all the unnecessary pain she's endured. Last summer my young teen required a root canal. Doctor Galsterer reassured me that it would be a very fast and easy procedure on her, and she'd forget all about it shortly after. That was Sumner of 2017. - [ ] In March of this year, my daughter started with pain in the area of where the root canal was performed and our family dentist sent us back to Dr Galesterer for a re-evaluation. After taking more X-rays and performing an oral exam, Dr Galsterer reiterated to me that all the canals in her tooth were filled, and there's nothing else to do at the moment, other than to try a course of antibiotics. After 36 hours my daughter's pain wasn't getting better, only worse. I called Dr. Galsterer's office and they told me that we ought to give antibiotics more time. That wasn't a good enough answer for me so I went back to our family dentist. Long story short, we were at the oral surgeon's office 24 hours later, learning from a 3D scan that our girl was suffering from a #failed #root #canal. There was a part of the root which wasn't filled during the original root canal therapy at Dr Galsterer's , which caused a cyst to form, which was deteriorating her chin bone, hence causing the pain... As a result, my daughter had to undergo an oral surgery where the apicoectomy was performed, the cyst was removed, and a bone graft was implemented. When I called Dr Galesterer's office to inform them of the diagnoses of our oral surgeon, they told me that they've never heard of a failed root canal where a patient would have to undergo a cyst removal and a bone graft. They were going to relate the information to the doctor, but I never heard back from them. In this case Dr Galsterer failed my daughter, twice. The first time when he didn't have the proper equipment to determine if all the roots were treated during the root canal, and second time, two weeks ago when he reassured me that all the canals were filled, and it wasn't part of her pain... read more

Dr. Galsterer Jr. has performed several root-canals on me over the last few years, and I couldn't like him, his work, and his staff more. I've never met a dentist with more kindness and empathy-he really gives you his all, and makes you feel as comfortable as possible. If you dont mind not being told how much a procedure will cost, if you dont mind being told you are irresponsible for not asking more questions while in the chair about how much a change in procedure will cost, if you are happy to find out that you will have to pay an extra 30% on top of what you already paid after the fact then go here. Great care, very skilled and empathetic doctors make the other hassles worthwhile. Just make sure you are prepared and especially if it is determined there is a change in care needed while there. read more
