We loved the individual unlimited tea which allowed us to try many varieties. The service also came with coffee and espresso options as well. The food options were also very tasty and quite the selection. This tea sitting offerings can be very filling with all the bread in and on all the items. But we knew that going in. Great value and excellent service. The dining area is apparently part of the Melody Whisky Bar but it is nothing like a bar and more of a very bright fancy dining area. I recommend Melody Whisky Bar for a good afternoon tea experience.

Melody Whisky Bar fit the bill while enthralling with a flavorful experience throughout. For whatever reason people were forgetting tonight that not only is there excellent drink here (Whisky cocktails, Macallan cocktails, Classics), but also tasty food. As a result we got right in, lucky us. My friend got the duck immediately; I zoned in on "three porks" not the real name but a trio of belly, rib, loin which was excellent. And I won't forget the whisky & maple cured salmon to start and/or burrata. Both will set you up for an amazing main course to follow. And just because I glossed over it, don't forget this is a whisky bar with endless choices covering 17 menu pages, small print. Good luck picking. As if there'd be room, the lemon curd tart is just light enough not to put you under, after picking something from page 15 of that whisky selection. The beer and wine choices are also exceedingly sufficient, so all should leave happy. Remember to ponder the history of the Melody cult classic film that inhabits the halls of this former school, and I'll anticipate my return trip for more magnificent food and drink.

It was a Saturday night, party of 3 and we got seated almost immediately, the place was busy and that gave me a good sign that it would be a good place. The music was on the louder side but not enough to have me scream to my friends across the table, it was typical Indian, very enjoyable and catchy. Our waitress was really nice and she came to take our order in a timely matter. We ordered the Lamb, we had chicken, rice, garlic naan bread and a yogurt dish that I can't remember ... everything came in cute little plates and containers. The food didn't take long to come, they have a really big drink menu so lots to choose from, they do have a small section of non alcoholic drinks as well and this is always a small plus for me, my friends had beers and I had a melon mock-tail which was so refreshing and good. We were so hungry, we ate so fast and even ordered more rice. The food was amazing and the price was average of most Indian places in London. Really enjoyed this place, and it seems like it may become a regular for me!!

Thank you and cheers Berners Tavern!…read moreOn another recent trip from our home in Nashville Tennessee to London on 10/15/25 we were delighted to have a chance to visit Berners for our third time and have never been disappointed and actually always wowed but this last visit exceeded even the others. Why? Well, for starters we always sit at the bar and marvel at the pretty view and receive fabulous service, this time we had the extra pleasure of Anuj's (ADeokante) five star service!WOW what a shining star he is to this establishment!I hope y'all know what a treasured employee you have in him.His bar skills are top notch to be certain, in addition his professionalism, care to EVERY detail, his care about our experience and ensuring it was outstanding, along with his wonderful warm engaging personality which added to our experience, just so welcoming! He gave excellent service,in this day it can be the rare exception to receive such so we were incredibly impressed and grateful to experience. We asked about Indian fare tips and he gave a great suggestion we took him up on. Our food (DELICIOUS) and cocktails (DIVINE) at Berners were once again enjoyed in one of if not the most stunning restaurants in London. Thank you Berners for being a stand out and for a lovely evening out and memory made,we can't to return as y'all are our favorite spot when in London. To Anuj: the sky's the limit for you, pursue your dreams wherever they take you, we're certain whatever you do or wherever you go you'll shine brightly in your field, you are perfect where you are a d as you are adding sparkle to Berners and we do hope to find you there when we come next time! Cheers to you Sir!If you make it out to Nashville for a trip please look us up we'll reciprocate with southern hospitality and travel tips! Well done Berners and may your continued success be blessed! Don and Cindie Caron

First, the space is very ornate and classy, with thoughtful decor that captures your attention as soon as you enter. The service was generally good, though certain drink orders took a very long time, and it also took a while for us to get more water. Whenever napkins were left on the table, even if we were sitting there, someone would grab them and fold them neatly, which I thought was a nice touch. Now, the food and drinks. We had a prix fixe menu. I really enjoyed the shrimp salad as a starter and the bread was fine. Of the main dishes, I liked the beef pasta and the cauliflower the best. The steak was okay, the potatos were nice too. The fish didn't have as much flavor/seasoning as I had hoped. The ice cream was okay, but I didn't love it. I did enjoy my espresso martini to cap it off! Overall, if you're looking for upscale dining, with an upscale vibe and upscale price, this is a good spot for you.

The staff was really friendly and sparked up conversation when they realized we were visiting. We were there for lunch so I can't speak to the live music at night. Can you tell I don't get out much? At least for drinks. Anyway. We came here with some friends and took advantage of their 2 for 1 offer (meaning you get two drinks for 10 pounds). It impressed me that they served really good drinks for such a good price. I personally loved The Last Word (super strong but great flavour) and the Elderflower Margarita (YUM!). They both packed a punch but weren't so overpowered with liquor that they didn't taste nice. The bar staff was fun as well. The one that wasn't popular was the honey one. I can't remember the name but none of us liked it. It's a cool bar!

I was gonna give this place 3 stars, but on reflection of the whole experience it's a definite 2,…read more2.5 at an absolute push. And I don't give out 2 stars lightly. This was one of the few places the bf and I had booked to go to during a brief 3-day trip to London, due to the 2 for £10 cocktails and general good reviews it had. I kinda wish we hadn't! Upon arrival the place was practically empty (but it was like bang on 6pm on a Monday, so a lot of people hadn't arrived for happy hour yet) and staff showed us where our reserved booth was. All good to start off with, the place looks pretty cool inside and the tunes were good too. Here's where it starts to go downhill. I skipped up to the bar having decided with the bf which cocktails to get (at this point we didn't realise 2 for £10 meant two of the SAME cocktail, because they never mention it) and ordered a Strawberry Daiquiri for the bf, plus a Chocolate Martini for myself. Nope, couldn't get the one I wanted as they were out of chocolate liqueur, so it was back to my seat to try and decide on another. I was gutted but excited about my next choice, the Show Me The Honey. NOPE. They were out of honey vodka so I couldn't have that one either! I get that obviously it's a busy bar at weekends, but I thought that was an extremely poor show - the staff weren't hugely apologetic about it either which didn't exactly help. Finally deciding on a Russian Spring Punch (yay, they had all the ingredients for that one!) I ordered the drinks. The bartender said "you know it's 2 for £10 yeah?" but again didn't mention the fact that it's two of the same cocktail for £10. Once he started making up the drinks I of course caught on to what was happening, whereupon he looked at me like I was an idiot for not knowing something they never openly tell you. Great. I begrudgingly paid for our drinks (I wouldn't really have minded except the bf wasn't sure if he'd want more than one cocktail and we now possessed four, plus I was really wanting to try a couple of cocktails instead of two of the same one) and went back to the booth, more than a bit deflated by this point. The cocktails were...fine. The champagne in my cocktail wasn't the nicest but it did the job of course. The atmosphere in the bar was...also fine. But that was it. Fine. It stayed pretty quiet the whole time we were there and I guess just wasn't the whole cocktail bar experience I was expecting. We then made our way to Cahoots where we had an absolute belter of a time and it totally saved our night, goes to show that sometimes you really do get what you pay for!
