You'll find various forms of wool, blends, cashmere... make sure to ask an employee for more information. I ended up purchasing real Irish wool scarves (slightly itchy), softest wool scarf, and a wool sheep toy. The items smelled like a farm lol, but the best way to discard the smell was to air them out. After purchase , you're given specific instructions on how to care for your Irish wool products. Note: Get a tax refund at the airport, with any purchase of 75 Euros or more at a merchant store. Ask for the refund document from the cashier.

I had never seen this shirt anywhere in any of the cities I had visited. I never even saw this shirt at the Guinness storehouse! Unfortunately, they did not carry all sizes, but the lady working this store was nice enough to call another Fallers store to check the size for us. The lady requested for the other store to hold that size for us. We thought that was so nice! Fallers also has good sale prices. The store sells everything from clothes (adults and children), to cups, to umbrellas, to toys, etc. A good go to place for gifts. I forgot to mention that Fallers has a small fitting area so you can try on the clothes before buying!

It's a pretty decent sized store packed with all your favourite Yankee candles along with a pretty good selection of shades and other Yankee accessories. I managed to pick myself up a new edition Christmas Shade for €14 instead of the top price of €21, which I think is a little expensive anyhow. It's well worth checking out if you are stuck for a gift for that special someone or like me you are just a huge Yankee Candle fan!

Worst customer service! In late April, 2026, my husband and…read moreI took a 10-day trip to Europe to celebrate our 20th anniversary. While in Galway, we stopped into Claddagh Jewelers. I found a lovely Claddagh ring that was a more delicate style than is traditional, but it was in yellow gold, not white gold, which is what I usually wear. No worries - I was told they could custom make one for me in white gold and mail it. After checking for proper size, I ordered the ring, paid for it, including shipping, and returned home and waited. The ring arrived May 22, and I was so excited, only to open the box and find they sent the same ring - in yellow gold - that I had tried on! The receipt clearly states, "9k white gold Claddagh ring". I emailed the shop right away, get detailed instructions for returning the ring, including how to handle customs paperwork. After 3 trips to 2 different post offices (no one seemed to know how to handle the customs form), and at a cost of over $70, I was finally able to return it. And then I waited. On August 3, I reached out to the shop inquiring as to the status, and they tell me they did not receive the ring. I checked the shipping QR code and it appeared that the ring was being returned to me! Sure enough, I received the same ring back. Apparently, the ring was sitting in Customs in Ireland from June 23 to August 1. Per customs documents, the package cleared customs, so it seems Claddagh Jewellers dropped the ball yet again. I reached out to the shop, and they wanted me to return the ring; stating that they'd provide a pre-paid label (why didn't they do that when I was returning the wrong ring, which was completely their mistake?). So basically, they want me to return the ring, trusting that after they screwed up twice, this time they'll get it right. If I do that, they will have my money and the ring I purchased and I will be left with nothing except a very bad taste in my mouth over the whole ordeal, and no shred of hope that I will get the proper ring that I ordered. There are many purveyors of Claddagh rings in Galway; I wish that I had gone to Thomas Dillon.

Dunnes was my favorite stop for provisions! The supermarket section was large with a good…read moreselection. The fruit was good! The clementines were much larger than the US. The apples and clementines had a lot of flavor! Beer, wine and spirits are available. I loved picking up a canned cocktail for later at night! It was less expensive than the convenience store and other department stores. The staff were helpful. It is clean. Both self checkout and regular are available.

By far the best quality and value!…read more I brought my American friends to Standun's last month and was really impressed by the quality and great selection of clothing and gifts. I always thought this store was expensive and only for tourists, but that's far from the truth. My friends bought lots of sweaters and Waterford crystal and posted it all home for free. The prices are much lower than other stores that only cater for tourists. Well worth a visit !
