The paperwork ended up being incomplete and was rejected by the court, which caused delays and additional stress during an already difficult situation. I later had to hire another paralegal to correct and properly re-file everything. I felt the process was very disorganized, communication was inconsistent, and important details were overlooked. I also felt misled regarding the business setup and professionalism of the service being provided. When people are dealing with court matters, especially family law and child support issues, they need accurate paperwork, organization, and clear communication. I wish my experience would have been handled more professionally from the beginning. Personally, I would not recommend this service and would suggest looking elsewhere for help with important legal paperwork.

If i can summarize Alan and his services it be with just one word- unprofessional…read more In a time when our family was celebrating an adoption, Alan and his behavior managed to make things so difficult and stressful...it is very unfortunate that this will be the lasting memory we will have during such a special time in our lives. Things started well with a friendly consultation, it ended with a shouting match and Alan blocking my wife, me picking up my documents and taking over myself As soon as the money exchanged hands - things just changed with Alan. He was easily frustrated with our questions and was bothered to hear from us. Alan made several errors on our adoption paperwork which caused a delay on an already time sensitive situation. Instead of him apologizing and being humble....Alan offered to refund less than a 3rd of what we paid because he "didn't have time for our nonsense". I brought up that we needed to move quickly to serve someone in spite of the delay his errors created...Alan gave me a one word answer that "hopefully" we would be able to have this done on time "Hopefully"... it still astounds me how indifferent Alan became over our concerns due to the situation HE created This is what you will get with Alan. Be prepared for him to change after he cashes your check. Be prepared to be caught off guard by his passive aggressive short replies. Be prepared to be told to "go elsewhere if you want to pay way more!" When you are in need of help. I tried my best to tell Alan why I felt disappointed in his response to my concerns, but Alan railroaded the conversation and refused to hear me. Alan spoke over me, yelled, complained and became an emotional wreck who obviously has inherit insecurities that manifest into a defense mechanism that blocks his ability of being sympathetic towards the very people he "commits" to helping. After my fallout with Alan- he then went on to continue the process directly with my wife. We had no choice. My wife reluctantly opted to continue dealing with Alan because by this point we had already paid him a substantial amount of money. So rather then take Alan up on his offer to refund $300 - my wife decided to directly communicate with Alan to see the process through as time restraints on the situation would have led to no adoption and Alan keeping over $700 for having filled out some forms incorrectly. At least this way Alan would have to continue (begrudgingly) to work our case. How did it end with my wife? Inevitably Alan couldn't hold the professionalism together.. Alan would bring me up from time to time and my wife would change the subject. Alan got frustrated with my wife because she needed clarification on some things - all of a sudden Alan told my wife that she needed a lawyer. Alan never answered why and he ended the business relationship by blocking my wife because he just couldn't handle her questions Not surprising. As the other yelp reviews have had similar outcomes to Alan's "fantastic" service Yes this sounds like a lot, but I need to let the public know what they are in for with Alan. Let my example be enough to steer clear from Alan and help you to decide to go Elsewhere...

There aren't enough words to describe how pleased I am with SkipNServe. Like many others who have…read moreleft reviews before me, I was having major trouble serving two defendants who were dodging service and refusing to open the door. The previous process serving company I used had already made four unsuccessful attempts. However, through an ingenious method I've never seen used before, Chris was able to quickly and smoothly complete the service on his very first attempt. He then promptly sent over the completed proofs of service along with video confirmation. I was also incredibly happy with Chris's rates. If this is your first time suing someone, you might initially feel like a professional process server charges a lot for what seems like simply handing over papers, but trust me, his fees are more than reasonable. Unlike most other servers who either charge per attempt or cap their attempts per fee, Chris guarantees unlimited attempts and, if needed, unlimited stakeout time. This virtually ensures a successful delivery unless the person decides to never leave their house again. Knowing Chris offers unlimited attempts gave me total peace of mind that I wasn't going to continuously burn money on failed tries, and I can't recommend him enough if you're dealing with an evasive defendant. Finally, Chris is just an all-around friendly and genuine person. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations; he spent a considerable amount of time answering my questions about his methods and even shared some incredibly helpful tips for the next steps in my case. Chris already has hundreds of 5-star reviews and certainly doesn't need mine to prove his competency, but he absolutely earned it.

We had a very evasive, house-hopping, freelance-gig-working defendant whose forwarding address was…read moreincomplete, and we were extremely concerned about whether we would be able to get him properly served before our hearing. I talked to several process servers and explained all our struggles and difficulties. I asked each of them how they would handle the situation if our defendant proved impossible to serve after trying. Chris's answer to that question was a confident laugh and, "I will have him served." That's why I went with him, and I am very happy I trusted my gut. Chris was able to take the limited clues and information we provided, track him down, and complete substituted service when personal service was not realistically possible. What impressed us most was not just that Chris got the defendant served, but what happened afterward. Close to the hearing, the defendant filed a Motion to Quash Service and also sent us a separate packet challenging the service that had not even been properly filed with the court. It was stressful and confusing, but Chris immediately stepped in, provided detailed records, explained the applicable small claims service rules, and helped us understand exactly how to respond. Chris was patient, responsive, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough. He did not just serve the papers and disappear -- he stood behind his work and helped us deal with the defendant's attempt to challenge service. The judge ultimately denied the defendant's Motion to Quash and found the service to be valid and sufficient. Serving the defendant was the biggest hurdle in our case, and I am so happy Chris helped us get over it. Now that we've won the judgment, Chris is even guiding us on how to claim the service fee, as it's allowed to be recovered by law. We truly appreciate Chris' professionalism, fast response time, attention to detail, and endless patience in explaining the process when we were panicking. If you are dealing with an evasive defendant, a difficult service issue, or someone trying to avoid being served, I highly recommend Chris and SkipNServe.
