The food is always fresh, hot if hot cold or chilled when it is required. Food is always well prepared.The Owner is always there and makes it a point to make certain you are treated well and you enjoyed your meal. We always like to go to a nice clean restaurant and Gannons is always well maintained. Check out the bathrooms and that tells you a lot. I was very disappointed to see the terrible review by a customer that actually brought a small dog with her concealed in her handbag. After being seated she had the dog in her lap and then on the dinner table. My wife and I witnessed the whole thing. I can understand a "service dog" but this was not a service dog.The Owner was made out to look very bad by this patron in her review.. He simply was stating that the Board of Health did not allow pets on the table at a place where food was served. I certainly hope the woman never returns to showcase her dog on a dinner table again. Me and my best friend wanted some wings not familiar with the area and decided to stop by for wings. The hospitality was amazing and there was a live music. We shared wings and the margarita flatbread. I also order 2 cocktails everything was delicious. If you are looking for good pub food and a nice chill vibe I would def recommend. read more

I am old enough to remember when this was called Bud's Country Lounge. Completely remodeled and updated and now it's Gannon's Tavern. I came here on a Friday night and enjoyed the experience. One thing to note, and it's not necessarily a bad thing, it is loud. It's an open floor plan and there is pool, TVs and lots of conversation. So if you're looking for a quiet romantic meal choose a different place. However, if you're looking for great food, drink and a fun atmosphere, this is your place. The fried green beans were great. However, even more impressive was the New England clam chowder. It's one of the best I had in a while. For a meal, I had the fish and chips and both the fish and fries were done to perfection. Definitely will come here again, even it's just for a beer and chowder! read more

Stopped by Gannon's for lunch and had a great experience. We were greeted by a very friendly host and seated right away at a high-top. The space is wide open with a cool, relaxed atmosphere. Our waitress introduced herself promptly, got us started with waters (beers quickly followed), and took great care of us throughout the meal. We shared the onion rings and the meatball appetizer--both were solid choices. I ordered the cheeseburger with fries for my entrée, and it was cooked perfectly. Service was attentive without being overbearing, with our waitress checking in on us regularly. I would definitely recommend Gannon's Tavern. read more

This is a nice family restaurant bar that has a good selection on the menu. The service was fine, attentive but not hovering. There's plenty of seeding until it gets crowded. As always the star of the show is the food. I had a perfectly cooked ribeye steak, with a with a twice baked potato that was outstanding and green beans were fresh, and not overdone. Excellent value and delicious food and large portions. This one is really worth a try. read more

Gannon's is amazing! The lobster roll was a monster 19.99 on Sundays so glad I drove by to get gas. That was the fastest U-turn I ever made.. Dennis one of the owners was very welcoming and very nice to talk to. Kai did an amazing job being the only waitress on staff for Father's Day and car show rush even the bartender was helpful.. highly recommend this spot and I will make sure to stop in again. read more

Very clean place. Great atmosphere with a nice bar and plenty of tv's to watch the sports games. I had a bowl of clam chowder which was really frigin hot and tasty. Nice and hearty. Then I ordered chorizo tacos. Could have been spiced up a little. Then for dessert I had the cookie pie in a skillet, which was also hot and delicious. Bathroom very clean. Ashley was a good bartender. I met Dennis and Ben. Thought dessert was free but I guess it's all good! Thank you. Prices are reasonable and kudos to Claire. Such an amazing waitress! The short ribs were tender and moist. Loved them. It's a small place. Was a tad loud but the place was full. I would definitely go back.

Food was excellent: chili, steak tips, kids pasta, grilled cheese. Every dish subtle and flavorful, very high quality American food experience. Good drinks. Reasonable prices. Stopped in for a late lunch with two friends because we were in the area. Our server, Luka, was exceptional and quite personable; he's a young guy (early 20s) from Macedonia living and working around the States in resort areas (he's adorable with a wide smile, Ladies, so if you're young and hip, head his way!). But Yelp is about restaurants and not dating profiles, so apologies for my digression... I had the pan seared salmon sandwich, which was served with fries and the condiments (cilantro aioli, sweet sriracha and ketchup). The salmon was very good, and I especially enjoyed slathering the pretzel roll with both the aioli & sriracha. My friend had the cheeseburger flatbread, Gannon's take on the Big Mac. It was a generous portion, and while she liked it, she didn't love it; maybe dice the pickles next time? The other friend (who was already scheduled for a meal later in the afternoon) had a Bloody Mary made-to-order (which was no horseradish & a little vodka) and the cheese & crackers off the app menu, which was a cup of pub cheese and Triscuits. Again, what made this meal stand out was Luka's service--a very effective story teller and conversationalist. There were a bunch of apps I wanted to try, but I only had so much "room". We come here every year when we are in town and doesn't disappoint. The food is absolutely tasty, seasoned, fresh, and delicious. I had the steak tips and they did not disappoint, as my plate was overfilled with tips, fresh veggies, and roasted potatoes, I couldn't finish it. The wait staff were great, and very attentive to our dining experience. The ambiance gave off a happy and festive vibe and added to our experience. We came on Sunday arriving at 615 for the Lobster Roll special and after getting drinks we're told they were all out of lobster. Who has a lobster special and runs out that early? No apology no offer to pivot to another special. I went on a Monday around 7 ... food was great ...its noisy but the food is really good ... both of us enjoyed it .. but the owner came over and was greeting a few ... we didn't talk long but he went to a woman with a service dog under the table and sat with her ..and what he said to her was unacceptable ..apparently she send back a drink didn't like it and he berated her while he ate ...then he started on her weight suggesting a workout routine .. We will NOT be going back .. so everyone never send anything back you may be ridiculed. my husband left the restaurant to talk to the lady to see if he was ok .. she also said she lives in the neighborhood but also will not be going back ..found out she is one of our hero's a Veteran ..Shame on Him ...you lost at least three people that came often and now will not anymore . read more

Unfortunately, we found this to be a disappointment. We heard people talking about this spot at our hotel and figured we would give it a try. We ordered Mac and cheese (it really just tasted like sour cream or cream cheese) the Gnocchi chicken Alfredo and the grilled peach salad. The Gnocchi was not terrible but not great...we didn't finish it. We never received the peach salad. We were twenty minutes away so called for a refund that we were assured we would get...we did not. We were left a message that the manager would get back to us tomorrow because they couldn't refund us? And did not hear back, when we called back because we did not hear from them we didn't have the receipt on us so they couldn't help us (uhhh we were returning their phone call?) considering we live hours away we unfortunately have not heard from them and have chalked it up to a loss and a restaurant we will steer clear from. Hopefully it was an off and busy night...or week considering it wasn't a priority/feasible for their manager to return our hard earned money spent on an item we never received. read more

So it's St Paddy's Day and of course we had to have Corned beef and cabbage or traditional boiled dinner as Gannon's called it. The food arrived promptly and the aroma had me mesmerized. I could tell from the visual the meat was going to be tender and indeed it was! It was accompanied by 4 mini potatoes some carrots and a good chunk of cabbage. The only complaint I had was I wish there was more corned beef. Definitely a memorable meal!! read more

Solid pub fare and a cheap meal in an otherwise pricey town. Where else can you feed 6 for about $100 these days? My meal included the Tavern Salad and a 6 piece wing. The wings aren't tossed in sauced, but brined and smoked with a dry rub. Made for a good pairing with the buffalo sauce and bleu cheese. Salad was very fresh. My wife enjoyed the Fried Chicken Sandwich, and the other 4 in our party were happy with their choices as well. read more
