I'm usually a big fan of Gap, but this store did not impress me with their fashion and styles. Maybe I'm too trendy for this place? Nah, that can't be it. But something was definitely missing. I did not feel like I "had to have" any of the clothes here. I was in the mood to buy, but there was nothing I liked!! I hate when that happens. The clothes here were affordable and the sales rack was especially cheap. My friend picked up a bunch of great stuff at super cheap prices. Because of all the sales, the store was a bit messy. Purchasing the clothes was easy because Gap had sectioned off an area that was distinctly for checking out. I'm hoping they will get a new shipment of new clothes so I can come back with a "must have" to buy. read more

"Be better than the Gap!" I hear Ryan Gosling's voice in my head yelling at me to "be better than the Gap" every time I walk in here - which granted is very few times. But, unfortunately, money constraints sometimes mean that I can't be better than the Gap. And when they send me 30% coupons and I need a basic t-shirt, I just can't be better than the Gap. This is your standard mall Gap. It's filled with t-shirts and denim and khakis. It often looks like a hurricane of frat boys, clad in khakis and polos, came rummaging through. The staff often have a sad look in their eyes. And the dressing rooms are filled to the brim with discarded items. So it's about what you would expect from a Gap. This particular location is really no worse or better than any others. Try to be better than Gap. But when you can't, this one will get you what you need the same as any other. read more

This Gap has a lot of cheap stuff, a wide variety, weird sizes, lots of items on sale. The last time I was there, the cashier who rung me up (Doha) was beyond rude. When I gave her a 20 dollar bill, two quarters and 10 dimes to pay for my $20.99 purchase, she spat "that's not a dollar." Um, yes it is. She grabbed my money, bagged my stuff and threw it at me without even looking at me. I said "you're welcome" and she rolled her eyes. Fire this sasquatch, please. P.S. I was here just to buy gloves and a scarf but they only had one end cap and it looked like a tornado had hit the store. I was like what the heck. I asked a sales associate if that was it and she confirmed my suspicions. Its December 28th in the DC Metro area - it's freezing and they should have winter gear. As I walked around the store I felt like I stole something. I didn't see the smiling faces with the "can we help you" attitude. What happened to the awesome customer service this place use to provide? The employees at this location need to be retrained. The lady that checked me out was okay - but she was very dismissive. I handed her my card and she asked me for my id. She looked at my passport and my card comparing the two - to make sure I was me. (That's fine, but it only added to anxiety.) As I was walking away from the register I saw her greet the following guest different. I think that's what hurt. She was so perky and fake with her. Why didn't I get the perky act? Funny thing is the guest greeted me with a smiling face and a hello. I walked away slightly defeated with my mittens. I won't be falling into this GAP anytime soon. read more

Gap is one of those stores where I can usually find something I would want to buy. If I need to go to the Gap, I'll go this location that's in the Pentagon Fashion Centre rather than trek over to Georgetown. I've been to this Gap multiple times and always received friendly service. I find Gap's prices are better than Banana Republic, even more so when they have a sale. read more

I go here quite a bit. A lot actually. But it's mostly because I was one of the winners of the Gap's "win-an-employee-discount-for-a-year" contest/promotion. I usually go once or twice every two weeks go check out their new stuff and usually pick up an item or two. They have a lot of good basics (jeans, premium black pants, cardigans, tee's, tanks, etc.) but some of their stuff makes me think, "what were they thinking?" The Gap always has some sort of sale so I wouldn't buy anything full-priced. This particular location is a pretty-good size, but smaller than the one at Tysons. The staff here is pretty pleasant and helpful when you need them. read more

Seems small for a Gap store. Maybe because they have a baby gap and other variations placed right next door but again, this location seems smallish... The people are friendly, and the store was nice and organized but nothing jumped at me as amazing. It's the gap at pentagon city mall; that's about the extent of the highlights. read more

No way would I think I would be reviewing a GAP store online. However, the past weekend while we were there, we had interactions with 4 different employees and every interaction was very enjoyable and they went above and beyond in their attempts while trying to help us (looking for pants sizes and using lots and old gift cards). Both me and my girlfriend commented that it was one of the most pleasant experiences we have ever had at a mall store and pretty much the opposite of past visits or what we have come to expect from larger/chain/mall stores. Everyone was super professional and very friendly, chatty, and helpful. Everyone, including the manager working that day deserves a shout out for their great work. read more

Great store. My wife loves the clothing. The staff is great and the store is clean. It is in the mall so it is smaller than most.

I went to Gap Baby on 5/25. I had excellent service. The employee was very patient, found on line for me a size not in the store. Every time I have been to this store I have been surprised by the courtesy of the employees. read more

This Gap is of a decent size. I was able to find the sales items very quickly. They have it all lined up in the back of the store all in one area. The displays in the store helped me to easily locate items I wanted. There were a lot of things on sale here and surprisingly I found it in my size. It was not crowded because it was a weekday, so I was shopping with hardly any competition. The dressing room was clean and the staff was helpful. read more

I enjoy going to the Gap for their nice collection of casual clothing with usually pretty good sales. This location is a sizable store that is clearly divided into a large mens and large women's section. Today my wife was not treated properly when she was ready to checkout. She went to the line in the women's side of the store and after waiting a while behind several customers making time consuming Christmas returns/exchanges they abruptly closed down the register and told her to go the Men's side of the store. She moved to the other side of the store where again she had to go to end of the line again and had to keep on waiting behind another customers making a return. They then told her she could go back to the other side of the store if she wanted, but she just came from that side so she continued to wait patiently in the new line. When I spoke up and told the Cashier that they keep moving her back and forth for the last 20 minutes, I was dismissed saying it was just a busy day. I feel like better training in customer service and some better communication between the staff could have made this a much more plesent experience for my wife and other customers. read more

In search of a special crossover bag, I reserved one online at this store. They were having a 40% off sale which was ending the day of my reservation. I decided to call the store to inquire if I could purchase online and the gentlemen who took my order was not only very pleasant but he informed me that since it was Tuesday (March 17th) that I would receive an additional 10% off, and my order would be shipped to me free of charge. Beyond terrible service!!! Do not go to this location, Pentagon City in Arlington, VA and rethink shopping at Gap altogether. To have a man over 6 feet tall stare me down in a threatening manner is disturbing and he is a manager on top of that. I've never experienced this type of hostile treatment before. I had a return, the cashier did not know how to credit my Gapcard with my receipt so she called a manager and when I asked him a question, his response was to speak down to me and stare me down. Then to later boast to the cashier like he won a victory by being disrespectful, threatening and demeaning. Is this acceptable??? read more
