I should have known by the chauvinistic name of the company that Elias M. would attempt to swindle me. We saw an ad for this company in The Home Improvemnt Guide and called regarding our garage door. After receiving a diagnosis from our home warranty we asked for quotes on a torsion tension spring reapir on our garage. Elias was able to come out the same day to look at provide us a quote. In comparison, several other companies have provided a quote after seeing the problem for anywhere between $600-$1000. Elias's quotes were so outrageous, he offers financing. I was not home when he arrived so we spoke on the phone. His "diagnosis" was not only different from 2 others, he also stated that the motor to the garage door was not going to work on the garage if we did the repairs/replacing parts he suggested. Elias went on to "try" and educate me about the garage door brand, the builder of my home and what bad garage doors these are. He suggested we replace and switch out the entire system becuase in his words, "if I just replace what is broken, it will break again in 5 years". Elias provided us with 3 options ranging from $2000-$2500 and that was with his bundle discount. By all means, if you want to try and have some mansplan something to you and get swindled by someone who refers to himself as "daddy", go for it.
