I got screwed over by La Quinta regarding being offered a $6k settlement for a pretty bad injury I…read morereceived in November. I got a call from their offices soon after the injury and was told the $6k was for "out of pocket expenses, my pain and suffering and inconvenience because of the situation". I was told it was over-and-above what my insurance would pay. But soon after I received the check, I started getting bills well over the $6k from the hospital, for which I gave them my health insurance info. A couple weeks ago I started getting notice from my insurance company that if I received any settlement, they we're entitled to it. I called this office for advice since I live in Florida and this happened in San Antonio, and was referred to Jenny, who called me right back. She was extremely helpful in explaining that La Quinta operated in bad faith and how I could work to retract the offer by paying La Quinta the money back and how to demand enough to cover the medical portion and the other mention above. She even emailed me wording to use in my demand d, as well as offered to assist further if needed. I am still in the beginning part of all this, but will definitely be using them if I need to go to court over this. What a great company to offer to help like this. Thank you so much Jenny!

During the final signing of the decree, 2 dates were discussed as to when I could go to my home to retrieve my items. Unbeknownst to me, they were not listed on the divorce decree. When I arrived at my home, I was as arrested for violating the emergency protective order. The only thing Lisa could say was "sorry"! In the decree, I was awarded the car. During the final signing, I had to sign a power of attorney for my ex husband's truck and he was to sign a POA awarding me the car. Two months later and I still haven't received the POA! I asked Lisa and she told me to go to my ex's attorney and ask him. In the final signing, a verbal agreement was made that my ex would have our home on the market by the 20th of January. Two months later and the home isnt on the market. I had no idea that Lisa did put the date in the decree. I'm currently stuck with a $6,000 bill and a criminal record and I never stepped foot in front of the judge. SAVE YOUR TIME AND ENERGY. I am in the process of filing a grievance against this law firm with the bar association.
