    Tortilla Soup

Garden Cafe is another one of my favorite restaurants in Yuma, and I always make sure to come here when I'm in town! The service is so friendly, as my family knows some of the servers personally and will give them hugs! The food here is delicious as well, and they are known for their tortilla soup! The soup is super flavorful and has loads of tortilla and avocado in it! My girlfriend and I also split the tri tip plate, which comes with 4 pieces of tri tip, a side salad, beans (black or pinto), salsa, and tortillas! By splitting the plate, this was just not enough food for me, so I ate the rest of an asada burrito which was really good! The only reason I'm hesitant on giving it 5 stars is that the portion sizes aren't the biggest, but the food is of top quality! definitely check it out if you're in the area, and I can't wait to be back!

We love coming here for the famous tortilla soup!! Unfortunately, the other food we have tried is pretty subpar in our opinion. The seating is only outdoors so keep that in mind but they're only open when the weather is nice and they do have heaters. Our service has always been great !

One of our favorite places to visit when we are in town. There are so many choices. This time I had the Chicken Salad Sandwich and DH had the half sandwich and soup. My taste buds might be changing, but the chicken salad wasn't very flavorful. This is an outdoor cafe. They have propane heaters, and a covering for shade. The seating is on a terraced area so steps might be required. The service is great, refilling coffee, tea and water without having to ask. We didn't feel rushed even though the place was filling up. We had the chocolate cake for dessert.

Vegetable quiche, fruit and coffee cake.

There is a refinement to La Cocina and yet it's a relaxed environment with lovely contemporary Hispanic instrumental music. An outdoor patio offers Second floor views of what keeps Agriculture epic. Today newly planted fields were being watered with sprinklers and others beyond were fresh with new green! Look to the west and the view is of a proud Arizona community with lush tree tops rising above. Chips and salsa are served in an elevated manner from what we have come to expect. Place settings are clean and glassware l The menu offers lighter versions of Rellenos, tacos and tortilla and lettuce wraps even Burgers! Slices of cake are ample, cheesecake and tiramisu are also available! Tuna tacos were the special but as I am a big fan of Rellenos the Au Gratin Tuna Chili Rellenos appealed to me. Never in a million years would I have combined my mothers tuna salad recipe minus pickles with Ortega style green chilies. A salad of lettuce and two thick slices of tomatoes were dressed with a delicate oil and vinegar combo. I might not order this dish again but it was light and yummy. The Sowthwestern Chicken Salad with a double baked potato sounded yummy too! Starbucks beverages are featured and the prices for coffee beverages are excellent! Yep it's back by popular demand but it's now called egg in a nest. What the heck? Anyway every one ordered something different and we ate to our hearts content and had no complaints whatsoever about the food, the ambiance or the cleanliness. Chicken fried chicken dinner evaporated from his plate. The burger and onion petals seemed to have delighted the nephew. One of the ladies in our party seemed happy with her chicken strips, which were more than abundant! Another ordered a diet plate of some sort with cottage cheese and sliced tomatoes and was especially happy. A new item on the menu appealed to another. Louisiana shrimp skillet. Was flavorful, and those who tasted the nice portion of shrimp agreed that it was surprisingly delicious. The side, dishes of okra, and greens are always favorites. All of us commented on the new menu. Although we missed the old format, this one is easier to hold, and the print is bold enough that you're not needing to use your flashlight if you're older like we are. We are thankful that the menu has the old favorites, something new and that Cracker Barrel values its customers. It's such a nice thing to be able to travel and dine at any location and feel like your unfamiliar surroundings. But I wonder why is that there are so many locals who freely admit that they have never yet dined here? One maintenance issue... the latch on the ladies handicap stall door is STILL needing to be fixed! One issue with our visit. Not once were we offered refills on beverages.
