Homme de Fer is one of the core stations on the Strasbourg tram network, serving as a central station for the B, C and F lines. It is located in the busy shopping district where Rue du Noyer and Place Kléber meet Rue du Vieux-Marché-Aux-Vins (Old Wine Market) and Rue de la Haute Montée. There is minimal cover from the elements here and the streets are all cobblestones making for an interesting time in the rain.
The station limited seating available while you wait but they do have overhead illuminated signs indicating the time to the next train. This station is an intersection, rather than an overlap. Therefore, you will want to check carefully to ensure you are boarding the correct train.
There are automated kiosks for purchasing your ticket before boarding.
One the B line, the station is between Alt Winmärik (towards Lingolsheim) and Place Broglie (towards Hoenheim). On the C line, it is between Faubourg de Saverne (towards Gare Centrale) and Place Broglie (towards Neuhof Rodolphe Reuss). And on the F line, it is between Alt Winmärik (towards Comtes) and Place Broglie (towards Place d'Islande).
As it is a very busy area, be especially aware of your surroundings and look out for pickpockets.
