The other let down for me was dessert. I had been in Germany for two weeks and this was my last dinner before coming home. This was the first time I saw apple strudel on a menu so decided to go for it. What I received was something soggy and doughy that tasted and felt like it was fresh out of a microwave. Two bites and I was done, left the rest on the plate. If the chef decides to make a stop in the spices aisle of the local market and pick up some basis spices and they manage to get some fresh strudel, I could see the stars just flowing in.
