I paid for the 60 minute baths and 30 minute massage. It was bliss. The pool area and changing room were all clean. the staff were very friendly. The woman who did my massage was brilliant. I know it is not a RMT massage but she got into all those knots. The pools are warm, cold and hot and you are supposed to go from one to the next. I did that before my massage but after my massage, it was the warm and hot one. You are told to forget about time. They come and get you at your massage time, then come and tell you when your time was up. I was so relaxed at the end of it. Oh and how can I forget the tea. They serve you tea in the pools and it was delicious. And this is coming from a non tea drinker. A great way to spend an afternoon. Highly recommend.

She specializes in all natural skincare, threading and sugaring for hair removal. I've done some research on sugar hair removal and read that it's better for the skin and less painful so I decided to give it a try. She is the FRIENDLIEST WOMEN, with a wealth of knowledge about skincare. She has done sugaring and threading for over 30 years. My Sugaring experience was Fantastic!!! I was nervous at first but she calmed my nerves by talking me though it. YES... it still hurt! But it was bare able, and it was quick. I was told that I wouldn't have to come back for for 8 weeks after this so that makes me VERY Happy! If you would like to try her services you will pay 50 Euro for Bikini sugaring. I also get my eyebrows threaded, which Heba has completely regrown my once butchered brows lol. My first year I would go and get sugared every 4-6 weeks. My second year I went every 8-9 weeks. I also only get my upper lip done about 3 times a year now... unbelievable, right?! Her sugar wax has worked wonders on my skin and hair. My hair has gotten thinner and more fine. I also have spots where hair doesn't even grow anymore!! Heba is the most attention to detail to person when it comes to her work. She takes great pride in making sure you don't leave until you look and feel perfect! P.S. she has the hands of a goddess so I would highly recommend her massages. She uses all natural oils & lights incense for the most comfortable, relaxing experience. The establishment was clean and bright and we were presented with large fluffy towels on arriving. The changing rooms were clean with plenty of space for all. Lockers are provided and whilst you need €1 to use them, this is returned when you reopen the locker. English wasn't a strong language but we were shown what we needed to do on a written sheet. I think it would have been useful to have this sheet with us as we were only able to quickly read and return. By the time we got downstairs, we were trying to remember what we needed to do! What you don't do is have your shower and then take the towel into the pool area! This should be left in the changing room....! Luckily we had someone with us who was very familiar with the order of process, warm pool, hot pool cold pool then back to hot, cold, repeat. There was a also a sauna and dry heat room to relax in along with an area where you could sit and relax although, we found out hard way that you should not really use this area for talking shhhh!!!! It looked like there was also the option to have massages which I assume you either do when booking or arriving. Back in the changing room, the showers do have soap dispensers if you didn't bring your own shower gel, along with powerful hairdryers which can sometimes be a bit hit and miss in changing rooms. All relaxed we left the establishment. We noted that next door there was a tea room which could be a perfect area to sit and have chat after relaxing with out ...sshhh!!!! :)

It's a shame that I didn't get…read moreto spend more time in Cadiz; it was by far one of my favorite cities in Andalucia because the tourism is less commercialized and the city is just less congested overall. Never once did I feel like I was getting ripped off for dinner or had to wait in a long line at the entrance of the museum. Spa Senator, on the other hand, is a different story. I paid approximately 95 euro a night for a single occupancy room; by European standards, Spa Senator is probably a 2 or 3 star hotel (but is advertised on the website as something much fancier - a 4 star hotel). The lobby has a kitschy Andalucian vibe, with faux-arches, a fountain, and azulejos tiling. The furniture and upholstery in my room felt old, but I managed to get a good night's sleep. The room was spacious for European standards and had an (overpriced) minibar and a TV. At least the fan and ventilation system worked - Cadiz in July can be best described as oppressively hot. All of the employees that I interacted with were hospitable and friendly. Hotel Spa Senator's location, however, was perfect for my short visit and the primary reason why I booked this particular hotel. The hotel is about 5-7 minutes away from the Renfe station, which made my arrival and departure hassle-free. Most of the sightseeing (the cathedral, the museum - which I would highly recommend!, and the various oratories) is about a 10 minute walk away. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in the area, so there was no need to partake in the hotel's overpriced breakfast and because Marypaz was having a sale, I may have bought a pair of shoes (oops). Hotel Spa Senator was just right for what I needed - a bed to sleep in and a convenient location for a quick visit.

The hotel was okay…read more But beware, if you are contemplating using the Internet for any reason (including email) while staying here, and want to have access to Wi-Fi, you will get absolutely horrible service. You will be given, if working, free access, such as it is, to Wi-Fi for 48 hours. It works so poorly that you would think you were using the Internet from the old AOL dial up days of 20 years ago. You might was well forget it. You will have access to Wi-Fi, but if you try to open a page, send an email, download something from the web, it might take five minutes or more. It's a total rip off and is inexcusable -- the hotel is obviously trying to save money on the Internet access it provides to guests. This one aspect of the hotel's so called amenities almost ruined my trip. I had brought my laptop with me on my trip to Spain and was counting on getting work done during the nighttime hours while in my hotel room.
