This dealership has been a nightmare to work with from start to finish. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM ANDREW! I bought a slightly used Bronco from them 3 months ago. After going home to think about it and then letting the salesman Andrew know on the phone that I'd like to purchase it, he told me I didn't need to drive up that night: that all I needed to do was fill out a form, but that they'd hold the car for me until the next day. Double checked and said I can put a payment down over the phone, drive up there that night, do whatever it took to make sure the car was on hold for me. He and his manager assured me the keys would be in his desk and no one would touch it. I then received a message that there were others who had come in to test drive it and another couple was getting ready to buy it!! I ended up getting it, but Andrew said "he was shocked I was able to purchase it". Like, are you serious?? When purchasing it, I told Andrew what I was willing to pay per month on payments, he went and crunched numbers with his manager, he came back and said "congrats, you got yourself a new car!!" I went to sign the paperwork and the payment was over $50 more a month than I agreed to. He tried to hose me by lying and saying they got it to where I wanted. Once we finally agreed on a number, I had them write into the contract that the sunroof needed to be replaced by them for free whenever they got the part in. Andrew lied to me for TWO MONTHS! First he kept telling me different dates the part would arrive, then he said it hadn't even shipped and was on back order, then he said it was a custom made part, then it was "out of stock"...he kept lying to cover himself. He even accused me of blocking his phone number when I had ZERO reason to bc I wanted my dang car fixed! I finally looked up the part myself and told him it was readily available on MULTIPLE websites, and magically the part was ordered and shipped. I took it in over a week ago by appointment to be replaced and was told it would be a quick fix. So I drove an hour up to the dealership, got a rental to doink around town for the afternoon, and went back to the dealership. They said they "they didn't have time to get to it, and couldn't get to it for 5 more days". 5 days rolls around, and they told me the part was damaged (it had a very very small paint chip on the corner that wasn't noticeable), and that it would take 2 weeks to get a new one. They had already taken the old piece off and wouldn't put it back in, so they basically had my car held hostage for the next few weeks?! I demanded that the damaged piece be put in so I could be done with their establishment. I got my car back finally, and the trunk was trashed full of the old rubber and parts they replaced. At McBee's Car Wash, I even noticed a fingerprint on the service sticker. They actually made it very fun and I got to know their team. When my sales person couldn't be there Another one jumped in and was very helpful and they just tag-teamed the opportunity and they both helped me so much! Bought a 2023 truck and extended warranty from them. I drove it all weekend and noticed a problem with the suspension so I made an appointment with them to have it looked at. I Received a call 3 days later from them saying they are canceling my appointment and refuse to work on it and to take somewhere else and use my warranty. I was like I just bought it from you and the warranty from your dealership, what do you mean you won't work on it. So I'm under the opinion that they knew it had issue but sold anyway and didn't want to pay to repair it or didn't want to deal with the warranty company that would probably low ball them. My husband took Ford Explorer in to replace motor in seat (over $600). Got it home and the emergency light won't go off and the sync for the phone won't work. Took it back in and explained that the work was done to replace the motor in the seat and now the 2 above problems. They wanted to charge $189 just to check it out. Explained that it was just in and now these problems and didn't feel like he should have to pay the $189. The guy argued with all kind of excuses and then finally told him to wait in the lounge that it could take a few hours. He went and sat in the lounge fuming and then decided that he just did not trust them to even want to remedy what he felt was caused by them when they installed the motor. The service advisor was not helpful and kept putting everything off on Ford Customer Service. My F350 was damaged by thieves attempting to steal it by removing the lock cylinder from the steering column. All they did was damage it so bad it had to be towed to the nearest Ford dealership, Crossley Ford near Liberty/Kansas City city limits. The truck was diagnosed needing a column as well as the lock cylinder for a $150 dianostic fee. They said it would take 5 days to get parts. It had taken 3 days to get the estimate. My insurance and I were pressing to get repairs completed. On the day it was to be fixed, when I inquired, I was told subsequent damage had been found. What good was their $150 diagnosis? Another 10 days have passed and still not fixed. Been nearly a month now. Crossley Ford comes up with different excuses for delays. They have me over a barrel and I can do nothing but wait. I purchased a used Ford Expedition Max almost 12 months ago from Gary Crossley. I bought it remotely due to the vehicle shortage and needing a larger vehicle for my growing family. I asked the salesman multiple times to confirm it had not been smoked in (I have 3 very young children). He confirmed multiple times the vehicle did not smell like smoke. This was a complete lie. The vehicle still smells heavily of smoke and I've done everything to try to fix it (detailing, ozone, coffee grounds, baking soda, leaving windows open for days at a time). The dealership was extremely unprofessional and was not willing to fix the issue. They agreed to reimburse me for a couple hundred dollars of cleaning supplies but I've spent so many hours and over $1,000 trying to get it fixed. Stay far away from this dealership! read more

I previously had a good review for Gary Crossley but after my last encounter it had to go. Our Explorer was having wheel bearing issues and I called to make an appointment on a Thursday. The employee asked if I could drop it off on Friday morning and so I did. By Friday late afternoon I had not heard anything so I called. I was told that both rear wheel bearings would need to be replaced and they asked if they could keep the vehicle until Sat. By Saturday mid morning I had not heard anything so called (There was ZERO communication from Ford). They ultimately said that they were not able to get the wheel bearings out of the Knuckle and that I would need to replace both knuckles. (After I called for a third time) The estimate for 2 wheel bearings was $1200.00. (Which is really high but I was willing to pay so I could get on with my life) After they said new knuckles were needed the estimate went up to $3800.00 before taxes...I told them to put it back together and I would be in to pick it up. So after paying $330.00 for Gary Crossley to diagnose and not be able to fix my vehicle I went home and ordered two wheel bearings from RockAuto.com. ($85.00 a piece). I went to loosen my lug nuts to prep the vehicle for when the parts arrived. To my surprise.... ALL TEN LUGNUTS WERE LOOSE. I was able to remove them with almost no effort. It was clear the techs were careless when it came time to put the vehicle back together. I was surprised although I guess I shouldn't have been. Once I took the brake system off both sides something else became clear. Ford only tried to remove the wheel bearing from one side. It was clear that the 4 bolts holding the hub in place were untouched on one side. Ford was right on one thing, the wheel bearings were seized into the knuckle. (Poor design, the wheel bearings and knuckle are different metals and prone to corrosion) We removed both knuckles and took them along with the stuck wheel bearings to an automotive machine shop in Liberty. The machinist was able to remove the wheel bearings using 10 tons of pressure from his press. The Knuckles were NOT DAMAGED. We put the new wheel bearings into the knuckle (With anti-seize for next time....) and put the entire thing back together. All together I spent about $800.00 (330.00 of that was to FORD so they could not fix my car). Instead of pressing out the bearings Ford thought it would be better to replace the whole knuckle (WHICH WAS EASIER FOR THEM AND PROVIDED WAY MORE PROFIT) instead of fixing what was wrong. There is no doubt in my mind that a big shop like Ford HAS a press available to them at any time....Obviously they don't care about the customer which is evident by this unnecessary repair recommendation. I was warned about this specific location when it came to service and I ignored it and for that I will never forgive myself. Don't let this be you!!!!! Oh and also...the first day when I dropped the car off the entire front desk of several people were eating Chik-Fil-A breakfast. I should have ran then as that is a pretty poor image for a "Reputable" shop to be eating in front of customers. read more

I had a good experience buying a used car, until after I signed the papers. We noticed a crack in the windshield when we were ready to leave. The salesman said they would fix it or replace the windshield. I forgot my sunglasses in my trade-in and contacted our salesman 10 minutes after we left the dealership, he said he would grab them. I called back about 1 1/2 weeks after the purchase to check on the title, an appointment to fix the windshield and my sunglasses. The title wasn't ready, which was fine, but my salesman informed me that they wouldn't fix the windshield and he never grabbed my sunglasses, so he couldn't help me out. I left a bad review on the survey I received. It was for the service department and not sales, so I left it anyways. The SERVICE DRIVE MANAGER contacted me because this affected his department and said he would do whatever it took to make me happy. His only request was that I give them all 5's on the follow-up survey. He said that he would help me out on fixing the windshield and he would also cover replacing my sunglasses. I thought that was great, so I filled out the follow-up survey. Obviously, I should have waited to fill out the follow-up survey, since the SERVICE DRIVE MANAGER will now not return my calls. Very disappointed. I received a l teeter in the mail regarding an extended warranty and recall for my car. Scheduled an appointment online and when I Input information it populated the recall information. Show up to my appointment this morning and was first told they weren't doing any of those repairs. Scheduled my car for oil change, tire rotation, tire balance, vehicle inspection and diagnostic for power steering noise on a Friday at 10:00 AM. Jordan (service intake desk) asked how long I was able to wait or leave my car. I told him I could leave it all day Friday and Saturday and would pick it up Sunday. Jordan said he would contact me once he knew what the power steering problem was and we would go from there if any further services were required other that what was originally scheduled. After five hours we decided to call since we had not heard anything from Jordan. Jordan said he was "still chasing down the power steering issue". Saturday at 2:30 PM MY husband called STILL HAVING NOT HEAR WORD from the service department. To our utter shock not only was my car not finished but NONE OF THE WORK had been accomplished in the two days they had my car. The technician that was (according to the person we talked to on Saturday) was not even in the shop until Monday.. wonder if management will be discussed with with their staff enough to call us. read more

I take my vehicle to receive service my interior was VERY CLEAN you could eat off the floor, I just had it detailed a day prior and someone at the dealership with very dirty shoes had mud and dirt EVERYWHERE in multiple places on the the plastic pillars and carpet floor mats on passenger and driver side I was confused as if they didn't see this when they constantly entered/exited why not clean it before I pick my vehicle up, my A/C was blowing cold when I dropped it off and on HOT STEAMING HELL when I picked it up. not to mention as I backed out parking space to leave lot (no vehicles are coming) an employee in a f150 comes FLYING around the corner & gets an unnecessary attitude & throw his hands in the air & honks his horn at me as if I cut him off. Gary Crossley Ford sold me a used truck $70k, without disclosing that fact that the previous owner was a smoker. They covered it up (temporarily) during detailing using a bath bomb only to have the smoke smell be revealed after 1 week. My only request was for the dealer to send me a new air filter, they refused and offered no solution simply replying "we sell cars as is". I would not recommend buying a car with this dealer, all I asked for was honestly during the buying process. Ultimately they wouldn't even cough up the few dollars for an air filter. read more

Avoid this place at all cost! We took our 2013 Ford Focus there when it would not shift into any gear. By the way do not even think about buying a 2012-2016 Ford Focus, they are complete junk and Ford will not stand behind their product. After we dropped the car off we got a call from Service Writer/Scammer Mark. He said the car would need a new battery before they could diagnose the problem and they would gladly put one in for $173. Seeing no other option we agreed to have the battery out in. Service Writer/Scammer Mark called back later and said the car needed new clutches, a transmission control module and the transmission was missing a gear and would need to be replaced. He said he looked up the date of manufacture for the car and said since they were notorious for these issues Ford was going to cover the cost of the entire repair. A month later we hear back from Scammer Mark, he said the clutches and transmission control module were replaced and the car needed a transmission but Ford would not cover the cost of the transmission. He said the transmission could be replaced for $5,800 which is about what the car is worth. Scammer Mark being the nice guy that he is put us in touch with a Gary Crossley Salesperson who gave us a generous offer of $200 for a trade in. Despite the sweet offer we declined and Scammer Mark was sure to remind us that we still owed $173 for the new battery in a now useless car. Also since the transmissions in the Focus are such junk nobody but Ford will dare work on them. Obviously this problem isn't entirely the fault of Gary Crossley but being told the cost of the transmission would be covered by Ford then a month later telling us we would have to pay $5,800 is very shady. read more

My experience was with the service department and it was completely unacceptable. I made an appointment online to get an oil change and to get a recall repair done. I said I would be waiting. The appointment was accepted and I received a reminder for it. When I got there, I had to figure out where to go, without adequate signage. I pulled into the service area - nobody came out to welcome or even acknowledge me. When I got to the service counter, I waited a good long time while BOTH attendants talked only to the one person ahead of me. When they finally both paid attention to me, they both told me that the wait for my recall repair would be at least a day and a half. Really? They didn't call me or even put a note on their reminder of my appointment to tell me to bring a sleeping bag if I wanted to wait? To make matters worse, they couldn't do my oil change until an hour and 45 minutes after my appointment. They hadn't called to communicate this, either. Instead, they encouraged me to go to another building without adequate signage to get my oil change. They, too, told me it would be an hour and a half. I left, found a Jiffy Lube and got in and out promptly, without having made an appointment. Amusingly, they had a text service contact my cell phone to see if I had any questions. We've given them YEARS of business. We've bought 2 Escapes, 1 Taurus and a Focus here, ALL were brand new. In fact, our first purchase with them, we drove up here from Texas to buy it. My family works for Ford Motor Company. We've always been a Ford family, and Gary Crossley has historically been our dealership. We've been faithful customers. That relationship ended today, September 14th 2017. There is a well known issue with the 2012-2016 Ford Focus transmissions. The service department knows it, the sales department knows it (admitted) too. After having the Focus in the service department for 5 days, it was released back to us with nothing fixed. We were told the transmission was working as intended. This occurred on 9-13-17. I left quite upset. I was put in touch with a guy named "Alex" who told me he'd like me to come back up to the dealership the next morning. We discussed our options and considered trading the Focus for another Escape. He assured me I'd be taken care of. We sat there, in the show room for a collective 6 hours, while our "salesman" "Jason" sold another vehicle to another couple (completed the entire process)! IT WAS CLEAR WE WERE NOT A PRIORITY AT ALL. When we asked for the keys to the Focus so we could just leave, we were told that "they're bringing the numbers out to you now." 10 minutes later, the "salesman" returns with paperwork (the numbers) that had been "worked up" for us.. FOR THE WRONG VEHICLE! For years, we've been warned about this dealership. We've been told to go to Dick Smith, Chuck Anderson, or Thoroughbred. We stayed loyal to Crossley anyway. Today, that ended. I will never go back to this dealership again. Go to another Ford dealership (ANY OTHER) for your FORD needs. Don't be foolish like we were. They are rude, pushy and will make your car purchase experience a nightmare. I made both the general manager and the owner aware of the poor customer service at Gary Crossley Ford. They both ignored me. The sales management at the dealership does not know what they are doing, and they do not communicate with each other. They end up punishing the customer because they are not intelligent enough to act as a team and deliver a customer experience that makes someone want to return. I have heard they have "gotten fat" at Crossley with the volume of Ford employee purchases from the Claycomo Plant. That should NOT translate into "crap on everybody else" who walks in the door. This Ford dealership is an extreme example of the "you walked into our doors so you are obligated to negotiate with us." They are pushy and the salespeople are required to have a sales manager come over and pressure you until you feel their slime on your clothes. WORST of all is the paperwork and finance discussion. Car dealers make money in a bazillion ways. One of those ways is on extended warranties (with huge margins for the dealers). I spent over two hours completing paperwork and then had endure Jeff Suderman. Jeff is the rudest manager I have ever encountered in any industry. EVER. He told me he had enough of me and wanted me to leave. I just bought my car a son and helped my cousin buy a car. This was all just weeks after buying from Crossley. If they had been kind they would have had three car sales.
