Met with Gary to discuss changes to the entrance landscaping of my house. He showed me some basic concepts with tracing paper over photographs of my house. He then told me that for him to provide a detailed plan he needed $500. I paid Gary with a check and he called me a couple weeks later and said he was ready to discuss the plan. Gary informed me in an email that he would need an additional $500 to develop a planting plan. Needless to say I was confused so I asked Gary to wait until I saw the first plan before proceeding. Attached is my "detailed" plan for $500. I told Gary I did not want to proceed any further. Gary admitted that it appeared as a "bait and switch" but the next plan would include the actual plants he would use. Waste of my time and money! read more

I have had the privilege of working with Gary on two occasions. First, as President of our Homeowners Association, where Haygood Solutions was selected to design our neighborhood swimming pool and entrance gates, and the second our backyard in our new home and it is awesome! Our Pool turned out unbelievable, as did our gates. As for our New Home, we could not have been more pleased. Gary designed and supervised the construction of two stone pads, brick retaining walls, brick columns, lighting and magnificent plantings. We were included in all aspects of the design and relied heavily on his superior design skills and significant knowledge of planting selections.
