Got a chance to meet the man behind this amazing fried chicken, he is so sweet and welcoming. Made us felt at home and made our visit so enjoyable. Thank you, Corey and Milan I am so jealous we don't have Corey's in the state.

The flavorful chicken recipe is consistent, juicy, & crispety crunchy every time. Their potato salad is better than most I've had even at the best BBQs (no onions!) or they offer the more popular, sweet potato fries or the lesser known baked beans. They also have what sounds like some delish desserts but we were too stuffed to try. I reiterate, I consider this tiny, unassuming, (clean) hole-in-the-wall a fast food joint...so you order at the counter, grab your tray, & see yourself to your table of choice either downstairs or up. They also have a short counter with stools at the window that seats 3-4 in case you want first row seating to hurried passersby or the occasional dog walker cleaning up. Oh, & there's air conditioning! Like real, good ol' 'Merican air conditionin's!!! Be aware of their non-American hours though, as they close for siesta in the early afternoon to reopen later for dinner service. What's more, their customer service is on par with their food! There's a small, young crew of locals (didn't meet actual Corey, who is apparently a real person from The South) that run & maintain the place. I mentioned it's fast food but only in menu not in prices. There will be no 5€ combo with fries & a drink. I understand it's an elevated version & I certainly appreciate it, but I'm skeptical of the locals making this concept a raging success as they're so used to cheap eats, especially at lunch time. On a last note, my friend & fellow USA expat would beat me with a chicken leg if I didn't mention their playlist. A variety of either old school hip hop or R&B...like, the real sh!t. I will definitely be returning to get my fingers & lips all greased up!

They advertise free refills but you are lucky to get anyone's attention after they take your order. Left this restaurant puking. I'm not saying it's a bad place, but it's sad when the restaurant delivers terrible food and service and then doesn't care what so ever. I asked for a vegan burrito, with no lettuce, then received a burrito with also no avocado, no salsa, no side of broccoli, a bare scooped out potato, and a wrap with some rice and potato, and a few green peas. Then when I brought it up to a server, which took me 10 min to get a hold of, she brought me a slice of vegan cheese and some broccoli. My cousin had a hamburger that left her throwing up 15 min after eating less than 1/2 of the burger. It's just a waste of money for a bad experience. A gimmick restaurant if that. Brightly decorated but poorly executed.

#182-2016:…read more Finally... thanks (once again) Salvatore for the challenge. And thanks Hats Off for making me feel a little less homesick. I met with some yelped, some friends and some family members for a Sunday funday brunch at this little corner of the good ol' comfort food of the land of star's stripes. We ordered: - Onion rings (some slightly over fried) with beer batter with honey mustard .... YOLO!!! - cheese burger with raw onions and French fries (truly appreciated) - pulled pork sandwich (I needed a a shower afterwards.... which means it was TRULY amazing)... it was so wonderfully cooked and the meat melted in my mouth. - baby back ribs with BBQ sauce and French fries (wonderfully cooked, extremely soft and chewable) - hot wings (ÜBER-spicy) and some a tad too over-cooked with gorgonzola sauce. - pancakes with maple syrup and whipped cream -super huge and decadent burrito with 3 sauces (guacamole, sour cream and jalapeño) The squeezed oranges were very nice and the bottled water was good as well. The beer on tap was from Piemonte and very good indeed. Everything was truly great... EXCEPT for the coffee. .. that tasted burnt. Everything was amazing and tasty and I surely will come back over and over again to try a few more options off the menu.... Welcome to my home away from home... BRAVO!!!

Cecily's place is what I would call the most authentic American food I've had in Italy, and thanks to her you can eat real bbq baby back ribs, yummy burgers and the best apple pie in Milan (among other delicious dishes). The place is not big, about 10 tables, you can see that Cecily is always taking care of everything, from the entrance where she greets you, then explaining every dish at your table (I loved the explanation about the Animal Fries: "Italians complain that it seems we gave them leftovers, but that's the way they are, it's a typical L.A. dish, so don't complain if you order them" - seriously, Google them if you don't believe it) and always checking up on you, if you need anything and if the food's OK. I've been here for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner where we left super full and satisfied (first approach to their apple pie, yummy!): turkey, potatoes, mac n'cheese, dips, brownies, etc., then for drinks and to watch the game (it can be a valid alternative to a sports bar - big screen, beers, onion rings, what else do you need?), for dessert (apple pie!) and for dinner again last night. As starters, we had the shrimp pil pil (spicy and hot, probably not the best choice on a hot summer evening... we were sweating) and the animal fries (loved them, I would also order them as bar snacks to watch the game); then the famous baby back ribs (be ready to lick your fingers) and the blue cheese burger which was a mess to eat (the patty was too juicy and the bun got too moisty) so I ended up eating it with fork and knife but it was very good and cooked perfectly to my taste; the sides were also good: creamed spinach and cucumber salad with tzatziki... as if we weren't full enough, we had the apple pie and the cheesecake, both great. Prices are average for restaurants in the city center and considering the quality and authenticity, well, hats off to Cecily!!!

The best part is everyone can find something to eat in their wide variety menu. ***Vegetarian and vegan friendly*** When you walk in, immediately you're eyes get lost with all the cool stuff on the walls and awesome decoration. You seriously feel like you walked into a diner from the 50's. This place is big enough for groups and you may make reservations ahead of time! Everything is made fresh to order and the food is pretty good! Definitely a place to go to in Milan near the San Siro stadium!
