Their main idea is that the restaurant itself is positioned within a hothouse for plants, with numerous tropical plants growing inside. Overall, they do have an extensive choice of vegetarian dishes - both more or less traditionally German and Asian, which are reasonably well-prepared. The service is fast and the overall concept is fun, so it's an interesting place to try out if you have time and energy for a detour!

Among the fantastic Franconian dishes on offer are: Sauerbraten with gingerbread sauce served with dumplings together with a side salad (EUR 9.80); a beef dish in horse radish sauce and cranberries and vegetables (EUR11.50); and pork with creamed mushroom sauce, vegetable and noodles (EUR14.50). A great attraction of the Cafe Restaurant Orangerie is that they are even open to serve lunch on public holidays like Christmas Day and Ester Monday.

If you get a chance, try this place, it is my go to place every time I go to Ansbach to visit my mother. I recently brought some friends with me and my girlfriend and they agree the food is great. Very reasonably priced too.
