Not a bad place to take a break for lunch or dinner if one is in the area looking for a rustic…read moremeal. The menu is regional and everything is home made. Sadly, at the time of our visit the kitchen had no vegetables and the chef was apparently out shopping for produce. The sous chef had burned one of our dishes and had to redo it, so we had the liver already at the table and had to wait for the second plate for about 15min. On one hand, good to know everything is cooked to order and fresh, on the other hand why does a chef shop for ingredients in the middle of the day? The liver was glazed with apples and onions, pretty good, although a little over done for my taste.
Atmosphere could be cozier, especially since it's a guest house. We sat in the big dining room and the stone floors reminded us of 50s sanatoriums.
