Right next to Tram #2 and Rathaus U-Bahn. -Cappuccino maker and fridge, that came with 2 free mineral water bottles each day. -Behind the hotel are 3 grocery stores, and real local shopping streets. CONS: -Can't think of any! But if this is your first time in Vienna, you might find the staff a bit dull and all business, but this is completely normal any where in Vienna. We were exhausted from the 17+ hour flight from San Diego, so rather than deal with hauling luggage on the U Bahn at 11pm, we splurged a bit for a €45 taxi from the airport to the hotel. Worth it. But if you're still awake, a couple could spend less than half of that taking the U Bahn.

It was heavy with the white sauce but also with vegetables. She really enjoyed how cheesy it was but couldn't finish it.

The location is perfect for seeing Vienna, close to the U-Bahn Schwedensplatz station as well as the tram, buses and canal boats. The area is safe. It is a pleasant walk to tourist locations. The breakfast had a wonderful selection, including fruits, breads, granola, eggs, sausages, cheeses, sliced meats, pastries, and more. We couldn't have been happier about our stay.

As a matter of a fact you could use the touchscreen device to check in and even print the keycards for your room. The check in area doubled as both a bar and the breakfast area. In the US we would have called it trendy and hipster and I think that it would have fit right into the Kimpton or Ace hotel groups. Our room ended up being on the fifth floor and we had to pass both a sun terrace and a yoga terrace. Whenever we made it to our room we entered to the music of the radio that was on in the hall. They actually had a Samsung Galaxy tied to the lock. Unfortunately, I ended up having some issues with it turning on in the middle of the night but powering it off quickly solved that. Our room itself was different and interesting. There was a large flat screen tv on a desk and then side by side shower and toilet areas. These were both quite ample in size but the weird thing was that the toilet only had frosted glass outside of it while the shower had clear glass and a curtain to pull over it. Rounding out the room was the sink/mirror area. The bed in the room ended up being comfortable although I found it weird that a room for 2 would have 1 normal sized pillow and 1 mini pillow on the bed. Both the bathroom and sink had ample amounts of soap and other toiletries in them. The bottom line for me is that I would come back here again in the future and would recommend everyone else to as well. If I had stayed here in the US I would have expected droves of hipsters around but this place seemed to cater to both the business and vacation crowd, none of which were actually hipsters. Due to that I really ended up enjoying the vibe of this place and I feel like we got good value for our money.

It's an old and elegant space w/ divided windows w/ old, wavy glass. When we walked in we were welcomed, seated and given menus. There are two dining rooms and the one we ate in had warm, butter yellow walls. Several tables were occupied, the one closest to us w/ a family that seemed to be a mother, grandfather and adorable 4 year old boy. There was a lively conversation in German that fully included the child and he was very well behaved. Even when he got tired as the evening got late. Prices were quite reasonable. I ordered the special, which was a generous portion of nicely seasoned rack of lamb accompanied by gratin potatoes and lightly cooked green beans. We were cautioned that it would take 20 minutes, so I ordered a salad from their special asparagus menu. Alan ordered a beef rump, which came w/ lightly creamed spinach and hash browns. He ordered a potato/mushroom soup to start. I ordered a glass of red wine to drink and Alan ordered a dark beer. The waiter told him they had one, but his helper showed up w/ a light beer and a glass of white wine. We straightened that out, but it turns out there was no dark beer, so Alan drank the light, which he liked. A basket of bread, rolls, actually, cut up, was delivered along w/ what tasted like a combination of butter and cream cheese sprinkled w/ chopped chives. The salad was delicious, w/ green and white asparagus, some marinated, some fresh, chopped egg, tomato, lettuce and a flavorful dressing. We traded plates and Alan's soup was delicious as well. My lamb was completely delicious and reasonably priced at €21,50. Alan's beef was €18,50. My wine was good. I have no idea what it was. Dinner was quite tasty and we were pleased. Our only complaint was that we waited a long time for the bill and finally had to request it. Service in general was very nice and we enjoyed our experience here.

You have to get the new wifi password every 6 hours because it expires and you can only use it from the lobby. Plus, 50% of the time they give you the password it comes up as invalid so you have to consistently ask for a new one. Front desk and staff were great. Location was very nice as well. We had to take two different subways to get to a laundry mat but I don't think there are a lot of laundry mats in the city anyways. The place is very clean as well. Sometimes it's worth taking the stairs instead of waiting for the elevator because so many guests use it. I would stay there again but would prefer to try something different next time.

Overall…read morethis hotel was great but my biggest complaint was the A/C in the rooms - we visited in July and are from the States where air conditioning is everywhere; there is A/C in the rooms but it is terrible, and I'm not exaggerating. We slept with the window open every night to try and get some cool breeze (and the A/C still works if the window is open so we didn't turn it off by opening the window) - my husband literally slept on the floor one evening because he thought it would be cooler. We went down to the reception to ask about our unit and she said admitted that their A/C system is not very strong but it was working properly so basically that's the best you're going to get. There are separate beds that we pushed together but be careful about falling through as they slide easily. The WiFi works great! They give you an access code per person in the room though, not per device (so I had to choose between my laptop or cell phone to have access). The shower was the BEST I've ever seen in Europe! It wasn't a "half shower", it was huge with a door that closed all the way; and it also provides a shampoo/body wash mix that is a sea salt scent that smells heavenly. I'm not high-maintenance with my hair so it worked great for me but if you would prefer separate soaps, bring your own. We were able to check in at 11am and our room was ready to go. Also, it's not the hotels fault but it is right next to a big construction site and the only day they do not work is Sunday - we got woken up at 4am every morning by loud construction. The buffet is okay - nothing special and the eggs always seemed to need a refill; the espresso machine was great! And the juicer is a nice touch, however all that was available to be juiced were apples (no other fruits or veggies), so that seemed to be a waste. Overall we enjoyed this hotel but probably would try somewhere else next time.
