All of that being said there were some things to love about this place: 1. The staff was some of the best we encountered in Germany. Very friendly and accomodating. Even was able to check us in early with no problems at all. 2. It's very walkable to the old town part of Heidelberg 3. It was very affordable while still being comfortable As long as you set your expectations right this will be a pleasant stay for you.

I can't remember what it was called but I think it was Blockhaus schnitzel was really good (cheese, mushrooms and bacon on pork). Only drawback is that they do not take credit cards.

We rented this apartment back in April and absolutely loved it. We used it as a base for our…read moretravels in the Rhine valley and stayed there for just under a week. It was both comfortable and spacious. The owner was easy to communicate with and made the booking process simple. Her on site personnel also take very good care of the guests and are happy to help with any questions. As for the apartment, it is exactly as shown on their website. What you see is what you get! The cleanliness was top notch, and the amenities were all good quality and working well. The balcony is massive, and probably my favorite feature. We sat out there quite a bit, just watching the sun set and relaxing after a hard day out. I should also add that this apartment is great if you are traveling with small children. Everything you could need is provided by the owner, from a crib to a chest full of toys. I would wholeheartedly recommend this property to any traveler who is planning to stay in Koblenz or travel in the Rhine region. If you want something more unique and comfortable than you'd get in a generic hotel, this is definitely the place for you.
