Charming hotel and place to stay - feel of a castle with old world charm. Steep single lane…read moredriveway gets you to the top and then magnificent views from many vantage points. The rooms were a bit warm this time of year with no A/C - but the fans in each room helped some. Service was wonderful and helpful. Breakfast was good, small selection but then again there was only 1 other family here during our stay so they can't put out too much. The coffee was really good fresh French pressed and brought in individual carafes. Kids really enjoyed poking around and living like royalty for a couple days.

Wir hatten leider Zimmer im alten Teil im Keller, ohne dass dies uns bei der Buchung mitgeteilt wurde. Es roch ganz muffelig im Keller und in den Zimmern und wir hatten mehrere Schnecken und ganz viele Spinnen im Zimmer. Zudem hingen im Badezimmer immer noch die gebrauchten Hand- und Badetücher unserer Vormieter. Sehr unfreundliche Reaktion, als wir dies bemängelten. Dies war das erste Mal in den letzten Jahren in Deutschland, dass wir so unfreundlich behandelt wurden und uns nicht willkommen fühlten. read more
