The staff were amazingly friendly and informed us that fondue is served outside and to dress warmly. They weren't kidding. We were the only people on the deck where fondue is served but they had blankets for us, a fire burning and a Christmas tree erected. We started with Glühwein, got a bottle of local Aagau wine and ordered the 'as much as you can eat' fondue. Along with the piping hot cheese we were served bread, steamed new potatoes, diced pickles and pickled new onions. Yum, is about all I can say. In addition to the blankets we were given warmed bean bags (twice) to help keep us warm. Well, the second glass of Glühwein as dessert was really great. We've already decided that if we don't go back for fondue, we'll be back for another meal at some point. Thanks for a great evening!

a really good and special restaurant. it has lots of history / tradition and they cook their meals…read morewith ingredients they produce on their own organic farm! what theyre famous for too is their wine cellar (i havent been there yet) Food: good quality and everything was made like i ordered it. excellent meat quality (theyre famous for their pigs and their galloway cattle as they only eat natural gras on the farm and you can even see them out of the window from the restaurant!) Service: very friendly and courteous service. they have an own sommelier that works there and helps you with your wine choice. Ambience: traditional-noble restaurant. very swiss typical and its located right next to the ruin farnsburg (like 10mins walk away) totally the place to go if you want to enjoy high-quality food (and you even know that they made it themselves) and enjoy some good wine!
